March 16th. Los Fastidos (I) and Redskadrilla (Chicago)

For the second time, we've got Los Fastidios coming to IEEE—they're an awesome Italian street punk
band that nails that mix of ska and 80s British Oi! Punk. Their lyrics cover everything
from gritty street life to animal rights, squatting, and fighting
against racism.

Over the last few years, they've actually stepped up by launching several social and
anti-racist initiatives, plus they've played tons of benefit shows
for the people of Chiapas, workers, and victims of racism, sharing the stage
with legends like UK Subs, The Business, GBH, Rancid,
Lagwagon, Klasse kriminal, Vibrators, Red London, and more.

Based on their last show, expect a total riot—and this time, Chicago’s own combat-ska outfit Redskadrilla
will be opening for them.

Doors open at 8 PM, and the music kicks off after 9 PM.

You can grab pre-sale tickets (IEEE – Unski 3) for $40
per person, though they'll be $17 at the door on the night.

Man, thank God for that Clash Majko tribute... his last show was at the House of Blues back in 2022, and honestly, the whole program was solid. They’re probably gonna tour through places like Austin and Nashville soon too... oh, and quick question, is there any chance we might see SUPERHIKSE sometime in the near future? What's the deal with them lately?

SUPERHIKSE are actually in Chicago recording a new album over at Denyken's place. They start in about two weeks, but since they aren't all hitting the studio at once—mostly showing up one by one—there are some technical hurdles to clear. 😬 We might catch a surprise pop-up show if they can actually get everyone in the same room...

It’s not like I personally expect to gain anything from any of this mentioned above, though I know plenty of people who certainly do..
The supersucker rule is mandatory for all of us 😍 ..Los Fastidios were a total blast last time, so I’m hoping this one hits just as hard—plus, having Redskadrilla in the mix is a nice touch... it’s a perfect blend of entertainment and utility 🙂

Yesterday was decent. Picked up a CD🙂, spent most of my time explaining to anyone listening why Dire Straits absolutely crushes Xiu Xiu🙂

Those Brits were actually pretty charming... they totally caught me off guard by narrating every single track with those "this song is about a girl" intros😍

Now I’m genuinely counting down the days until SUPERHIKSE🙂

Even the swamp would've been better. I didn't see any Brits there at the end. And honestly, looking at the lineup for IEEE, I doubt I'll show up to anything listed—except for SUPERHIKSE, obviously. 🙂

I made it back safe and sound. Honestly, we need to get that camera footage pulled now.
In my opinion, even the walk over to downtown Chicago was more entertaining than the actual show.
Still, a support act is a support act.
