It’s a total disaster... November 17th was basically a national day of mourning here in the States, except instead of grief, it was just a bunch of "patriots" dogpiling on Aleksa Sekic... Honestly, at this point, it isn't even about whether you like his music or not, it's just a sad reflection of how people were raised.

I moved to the States during the war years. I come from a mixed marriage, and honestly, not a single person in my family has ever tolerated turbo-folk—we all consider it pure primitivism. It isn’t music; it’s just some bloated group of wannabes howling into microphones with zero grasp of actual artistry or musicality.
The main thing is how much media coverage they get, because that’s what drives her album sales.
I have nothing but contempt for anyone who listens to this trash. God forbid we ever have to deal with a seka, Ceca, or any other low-life diva again....
It’s pathetic how far we've fallen, seeing people like seka, Ceca, or Mile Kitic filling up clubs and emptying cash registers everywhere. It’s an absolute disgrace.
In places like the Midwest or out West, you don't really hear this kind of garbage playing in the bars and clubs.
In most parts of the country, young people look down on this stuff, yet here we are, welcoming it with open arms. We act like total hillbillies, yet we claim we want to be part of the modern, civilized world?
Seriously, as long as this level of provincialism exists among us, I can only facepalm in frustration.
And I am sick to death of this folk crap being everywhere—on every street corner, right in the heart of the city, in every single cafe... it’s an invasion of the unrefined... just bottom-feeders and rubes... that's all their music represents.

The crowd at the concert was absolutely massive. Honestly, if you’re into country music and haven't checked out a live show yet, you really need to get on board. The energy was incredible and the music was spot on, though it did feel a bit packed at times, but we made it through. It was such a blast! I danced my heart out, probably more than I have in ages 🙂

All this trashy pop music has completely warped my perspective on what real music even is. People are out here worshipping stuff that’s absolutely worthless, when really, any random amateur can pick up a mic and record an album these days.
When I heard that singer's track "Black BMW," I was just done. Honestly.
