Yeah, it’s definitely because of people like us... 🙄
Or maybe it's because of people like YOU!

shadowgull98 said:Ugh, seriously guys, quit being so annoying about this... go find something else to do instead of just bashing singers. Honestly, if people like you keep acting out, I’m gonna start blasting Country music in my car at max volume just to get under your skin and ruin your day! heheheh

I highly doubt any decent, urban person—unlike you primitive crowds—would ever listen to some scantily clad singer wailing on stage if they actually had any self-respect... And don't even bother saying it raises my blood pressure; it doesn't. It just makes me nauseous.

OT:{
November 17th. Remembrance Day in Warsaw...
Neda ukrasti is jumping around in the Midwest, while Seka is screaming on stage right in the middle of Washington, D.C.
I can already hear the cynics chiming in, loudly claiming that 'music' has nothing to do with the war, or that my allies and I are just some random 'patriots' obsessed with old battles... blah blah blah, I've heard all the excuses from 'people like that.'
But if you actually know the scene over there, you know that the local 'tough guys'—who are basically just veliki Srbi, or rather, četnici (though they don't have laws against displaying četnički simbol)—are the exact same people paying those singers to blast četničke songs at weddings and parties...
Isn't it incredibly hypocritical to go to a concert for someone like seka Aleksić, Karleuša, or Mile Kitić, while people in the North are still mourning their sons, wives, and brothers—the very loved ones killed by the same people those 'stars' are playing četničke songs for?! And no, it has absolutely nothing to do with the war....

To everyone who's going to jump in now with comments about how shadowgull98 is just some primitive hillbilly: With all due respect to your obsession with nostalgia, the smell of garlic, and cheap whiskey, all wrapped up in the melodies of our beloved Country music, I truly feel bad that you didn't get a lesson in basic terminology during your tavern training, or that nature gave you such a massive handicap when it came to intellect. Just face reality and wait for your next county fair—where you've always been the big shot—so you can drown your sorrows under a tent to the sounds of your unrefined tunes, making sure to pop every button on your shirt and bite down on your beer glass. Given that your vocabulary is way larger than your IQ, you don't even need to reply to me; I'm just going to follow the rest of the intelligent world here and hit the ignore button (it seems like life has already hit you with an unfortunate ignore long ago).
}
Say NO to Country music!
Save OUR culture and OUR values... and leave 'THEM' where they belong, stuck in the mud and stench of pure primitivism...

I'm honestly getting pretty tired of all this Country music nonsense, so I figured I'd jump in and share my two cents. 👍

dustylynx98, I’m with you on most of that. Honestly, I can't stand that kind of Country music—it’s just obnoxious, reminds me of my cat when I catch him in the doorway. But at the same time, those of us who don't care for it have no business looking down on people who do. It's their right to listen to whatever they want, and nobody should take that away. It’s just absurd to judge someone based on their playlist.
I actually broke last night because I heard a new track by Ace Lukas that had some incredible lyrics, but the melody totally ruined it for me. If a songwriter like Taylor Swift had written that same song, she'd probably be wearing the lyrics on a headband.

Elizabeth Mendoza43 said:dustylynx98, I’m totally with you on that point. Personally, I can't stand that kind of trash—especially those cheesy, over-the-top tracks that make me want to scream like my cat when I accidentally pin him in a doorway. But honestly, just because we don't vibe with that stuff doesn't give us the right to bash people who do. It’s their choice, and nobody should take that away from them. It feels pretty absurd to judge someone just based on their playlist.
I actually found myself vibing to this new track by Ace Lukas yesterday—it was actually decent—but man, that terrible melody just ruined the whole thing. If a songwriter like Rundek had written those lyrics, they’d be tattooing them on their forehead.

Look, whenever I bring up Country music, I'm not really focusing on it as a musical genre. Everyone has different tastes, obviously, and everyone listens to different things. But since this specific style is its own weird beast, I don't even call it "music"—it hasn't earned that title, nor does it count as a real culture or a legitimate trend. Anyway, when we talk about a certain type of culture—one that basically encourages people to act reckless, like dancing on tables or getting sucked into all those "balkanizam" ideologies—I feel like I have every right to speak out against Country music (and the people who defend it). I'm talking about the people who swore by nationalism ten years ago and are now trashing it; they should've just kept their mouths shut back then. I'm not criticizing it as "music," but as a CULTURE that carries heavy consequences... and social consequences too. It leads to total immorality, plain and simple.

Well, if we're going to talk about morality regarding various metal subgenres, they aren't exactly more virtuous. I'm on the same page as you; I just want to say we don't have the right to bash anyone based on the music they listen to. For the most part, these are just kids who weren't even born during the war.

Country music isn't a genre, at least not in the way you'd categorize metal!!
Read what I wrote again!
I couldn't care less about Country music as a musical movement!
But the culture and the sheer primitivism? That interests me. And that's exactly what Country music is!!

As for that bolded part of the quote, I don't think you're right there either!!
Just look at who hangs out at places like the local dive bars or those big clubs downtown... bouncers won't let anyone under 18 through the door at any of them. And from what I can tell, the war was less than 18 years ago...

Come on, everyone, I don't get why you're all getting so worked up about this. Look, I'm the first to admit that a lot of Country music is incredibly silly—I mean, who actually sings about needing a mink coat just to feel loved? It's ridiculous. But honestly, I listen to Country because it’s a total mental break for me; the lyrics are straightforward, the melodies make you want to dance, and it just carries you away. And besides, isn't there something to be said for those old-school values like "love your own and respect everyone else"?

Honestly, I don't feel like I have anyone to answer to, believe me. Unlike most people, I’m not embarrassed at all about what I listen to; there isn't a shred of guilt or any sense of feeling inferior about my taste.

Haha, you don't have it.

Fair enough, that's fine—but honestly, I think the people who listen to Country music are even worse, especially since they're too embarrassed to actually admit it.

😳 If you actually have something intelligent to contribute, then please go ahead and say it, but if not, it might be best to just stay quiet. Best regards from the local guy 🙂

Man, just let them blast some tunes... throw on some heavy metal, then maybe some classic rock, a bit of outlaw country, some blues, then a little bit of old-school soul, and of course, finish it off with some gritty Southern rock and maybe some outlaw anthems... you can't end the night without... some dark, haunting folk ballads about prison life and old southern legends... that’s where the real vibe is... just gotta keep the party going... 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
