Laura Walker6 said:You guys basically created HIV under a microscope. So if you built the virus in a lab, why don't you just use that same microscope to cook up a cure...😬
Look, Michio Kushi treated HIV infections through macrobiotics. And guess what? Everyone was doing fine, and most are still kicking around today. Except for two people who went on vacation, ate some ice cream and tropical fruit, and dropped dead within two days. He boosted their immune systems so much that even with HIV, they felt, looked, and acted like perfectly healthy people!!

So yeah, their immunity was so high that the second they broke the rules for two days, they just DIED!

And it was because of fruit!

Laura Walker6 said:it isn't really about where the stuff comes from... maybe things grown in Asia are actually healthier since they don't have all the pesticides, GMOs, and other capitalist garbage

Actually, DDT is still used in most parts of Asia! I honestly don't think I ever ate food as toxic as what I had during the three years I spent living there. And, by the way, getting kids vaccinated against everything was the only reason they didn't catch typhus or meningitis after being exposed...

Finding and using polio vaccines basically wiped out polio in the Americas. Back in 1960, we had 2,525 cases of paralytic polio in the US. Fast forward to 1965, and that number dropped to 61. Between 1980 and 1990, we were looking at an average of just 8 cases a year—and get this—most of those were actually triggered by the vaccine itself! We haven't seen a single case of polio caused by the wild virus since 1979, aside from the occasional person traveling into the country carrying it. By 1994, the whole thing was declared eradicated across the Americas.
http://www.accessexcellence.org/AE/AEC/CC/polio.html

So, you're telling me we went from 2,525 sick people before the shot to just 8 a year, and those 8 got sick because they took the shot.
Nah, vaccines don't protect you. The vaccinated ones actually end up getting sick more often than the unvaccinated.

Vaccination is just a violation of nature..

Look, the numbers might be right, but the logic is totally broken.
Mass vaccination against polio in the US really kicked off around 1956. Case numbers actually spiked by 50% between 1957 and 1958, and jumped another 80% between 1958 and 1959 (check the analysis from Dr. Greenberg over at the University of North Carolina).
If you ask me, polio stats have been heavily doctored just to make the Salk vaccine look like a miracle. Basically, after the vaccine rolled out, they changed the definition of the disease. To be labeled as "paralytic polio," symptoms had to last at least 60 days—used to be just 24 hours. And back then, you didn't even need lab confirmation. Once the vaccine arrived, they started separating coxsackie virus and aseptic meningitis from "paralytic polio." Without a doubt, tons of those cases used to be lumped in under polio. No wonder the incidence of aseptic meningitis shot through the roof during the sixties.
Back in 1958, Israel dealt with a real polio epidemic right after they started mass vaccination. People were getting sick regardless of whether they were jabbed or not. Even that massive outbreak in Massachusetts in 1961 hit those who had been vaccinated three times way harder than the unvaccinated crowd.
Dr. Mendelsohn, a top-tier pediatrician, points out that polio wasn't even a thing in Europe during the 40s and 50s, even though the vaccine wasn't available yet. Even today, 40% of Americans haven't been vaccinated. So why aren't they getting sick without it? It’s gotta be that permanent, natural immunity—which is lightyears better than anything you get from a shot.
Polio tends to move in cycles anyway. When they "wipe it out" with vaccines, but then the exact same symptoms pop up again, doctors start hunting for a "new" virus because they know the old one is gone. Then they just slap a new label on it and add it to the list of things needing a vaccine... it's a never-ending loop...

Edward Sanchez72 said:Now you’re gonna tell me millions of people are suffering from mercury poisoning... Stop talking nonsense.

Because I’m dying to see how you’ll walk into a dentist's office and try to lecture them on how to do their job—telling them what to put in a kid's mouth while that kid is screaming in pain in the chair just wanting their tooth fixed. If that were me, I'd kick you right out of the clinic.
e!

I never made that first claim (yeah, yeah, "millions of people suffer..." )—so don't you dare put words in my mouth! Everyone reacts differently. Just because something doesn't hurt one person doesn't mean it isn't a catastrophe for someone else's health.

Fine, go ahead and kick me out. That's your call. You'll just lose patients that way. It's not the old days where people treated doctors like gods. If I seek help, it doesn't mean I have to leave my brain at home and swallow everything served to me. If I had been that gullible in the past, I could have done myself a massive disservice ("thanks to some dear, conscientious doctors").
And my child won't be screaming in a dentist's chair—because I sure as hell won't allow them to develop those kinds of dental problems in the first place.

I couldn't care less about micro-dosing or whether it's a little or a lot—I don't want any part of it. Why should toxic materials be in anyone's mouth at all, even if they claim those doses are non-toxic? It makes zero sense to me.
People used to say DDT was totally non-toxic too... and look how that turned out. Damn.

Go right ahead then. It's your call. You'll just lose patients in the process. It's not the old days where people viewed doctors as infallible gods. People used to say DDT was completely non-toxic too... and well, we all know how that turned out!

Regarding the screaming, people invented anesthesia, but I bet there's some super secret ingredient in there poisoning everyone. And the fact that you can't grasp the difference between a microdose and a full dose really just highlights your lack of awareness and intelligence.

Every single person reacts to things differently. Just because something doesn't seem to bother one person doesn't mean it isn't absolutely catastrophic for someone else's health. It's not that simple!

Go ahead, make your call. It’s your decision to make. But just so you know, you're driving patients away. We aren't living in an era where people look at doctors like they're some kind of infallible gods anymore. If I go looking for help, does that really mean I have to leave my brain at home and just swallow everything handed to me on a silver platter? Because, honestly, if I had been that naive in the past, I could have done serious damage to myself—all because I trusted certain "conscientious" doctors.
My kid isn't going to be sitting in some dentist's chair screaming in pain—there is just no way. I won't stand for it. Why would I ever let that happen? I refuse to let them develop those kinds of dental issues or trauma later in life. Not on my watch.

Honestly, I just don't care about the whole microdosing thing anymore. Whether it's a tiny amount or a massive dose, I'm done stressing over it. It makes zero sense to me. Why on earth would anyone want toxic substances sitting in their mouth? Even if people claim those little doses aren't "toxic," that logic just doesn't hold up. What are we actually doing here? It’s just not logical.
Remember when everyone used to swear that DDT was completely non-toxic? They practically treated it like it was pure water... and then, well, look what happened. Turns out, it wasn't exactly what they promised us, was it?

I'm right there with you on that one. Totally.👍

People used to say DDT was totally non-toxic too... and look how that turned out. It wasn't quite what they claimed, was it?

Good grief, you're talking such absolute nonsense... Look, if you're so brilliant, why don't you just find some fully bio-compatible material with properties almost identical to porcelain that doesn't contain a single trace of weird additives? Besides, is anyone even forcing you to go to the dentist? If everything is so toxic to you, why the hell do you even care? Just stop going to dentists altogether and do everyone—including yourself—a huge favor. Honestly, we are sick of people like you, and we only tolerate your service because we HAVE TO. Apparently, everyone who spent at least five years in medical school is a notorious idiot and a mass murderer, while you and a handful of others (total conspiracy theorists with an attitude of "don't touch me or everyone is out to kill me") are just incredibly smart. You think you can impress the rest of the world with your theories on bonding and fixing things to various objects.
You have no clue about medicine, and it truly amazes me how you can comment on topics you have ABSOLUTELY no understanding of. You probably aren't even aware of the 500 different types of bacteria living in your mouth right now, any of which could kill you if the numbers were high enough, but that doesn't happen because of numerous factors—one being the INFECTIOUS DOSE!!! That's right, go ahead and Google that and see what it actually means!! But of course, why would you care about that? And what about the shirt you're wearing right now (or the one in your closet) that was bought and imported from God knows where, dyed with synthetic colors that contain ingredients that would poison you in large amounts? But you don't care, because you don't care about "microdoses." If you don't care about microdoses, then why aren't you complaining about the elderly or your neighbors who are constantly blasting you with cell phone radiation? You'll probably drop dead when it happens, but hey, you don't care about the dose, as long as there's radiation. Why don't you file a lawsuit against everyone who has ever burned you in a car accident? Since the dose doesn't matter, right? They're all out to get you!
And oh, I just thought of something else... lead... do you have any idea how dangerous that crap is to the body??? Go research it, and then I'll tell you when you took a microdose of lead today, yesterday, or any day before that. Yet, by some miracle, you're still alive and typing this garbage on a forum... Isn't that a miracle?

Laura Walker6 said:The main issue is acidosis, while the virus is just secondary. Having a virus in your system is really just a sign that your body isn't running at its best...

Throwing around terms like that without context definitely needs some follow-up.
What kind of acidosis are we talking about here? Like, what’s the actual pH range you're looking at? And where exactly is this being measured—blood, urine, spinal fluid...?
I've spent years pulling thousands of ABGs in my career, and honestly, I've never seen metabolic or respiratory acidosis act as the root cause; it's always been a clear symptom of something else going on under the hood.
Could you walk us through the logic behind your claim?

Chain, just calm down..... okay, you think I'm talking nonsense, blah blah, but just chill, because Ernest Hemingway said something very wise along the lines of: "for who should be vexed by human stupidity, unless he himself is not particularly gifted with intelligence."

The last thing I want to do is raise anyone's blood pressure, regardless of whether I actually care about them or not.....

Oh, yeah, someone mentioned DiamondLite as being a really good material for dental fillings... maybe you know more about that (you tell us, so I don't end up saying something stupid again).
...and you don't have to "deal" with anyone... I mean, did someone put a knife to your throat and tell you that you had to?!
Anyway, I'm out of this discussion because I really don't need this.....

Look, ever since the establishment of the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) back in 1981—with the World Health Organization (WHO) pulling the strings and UNICEF helping out on the ground—global coverage for the standard kid stuff like Calmette-Guérin, polio, DTP/DTaP, and measles has jumped from a measly 5% to about 80%. But here’s the thing: just because someone gets the shot doesn't mean they actually have immunity. It’s not that simple. We’re talking about preventing 2.7 million deaths every single year from things like measles, neonatal tetanus, and pertussis, plus keeping 200,000 people from ending up paralyzed by polio. Still, despite all that progress, plenty of preventable diseases are still ripping through developing nations. Measles alone is still taking roughly 800,000 kids every year. Diphtheria, whooping cough, polio, neonatal tetanus... they're still happening way too often. You've got an estimated 20 to 35% of all deaths in kids under five tied directly to diseases we can prevent. It's a mess.

Beyond what’s in the standard EPI for the developing world, there are other shots used depending on where you are and what the local outbreaks look like—think hepatitis B, Hib, Japanese B encephalitis, yellow fever, meningococcus, mumps, and rubella. For instance, the rationale for inclusion of HepB vaccine in Africa and Asia is to prevent The subsequent development of hepatocellular carcinom, which is tied right back to how HBV sticks around from early childhood. And honestly? The delivery of vaccines in Mass campaigns on national immunization Days , superseding even civil Wars and insurgencies , Has resulted in The cessation of transmission of poliomyelitis and The virtual elimination of clinical measles fra The western Hemisphere. That part is real. They run these periodic campaigns to "catch up, follow up, and keep up" alongside regular childhood shots. But don't get too comfortable. There are massive holes in the long-term strategy, worries about these big campaigns messing with routine services, and then there's the whole issue of unsafe injection practices. It’s far from perfect.

"Vaccines are safe and they protect us from getting sick. If there are any risks at all, they're way smaller than the disease itself." That’s the big line you hear everywhere, right? Blasting through the news cycles. It’s also what "official" medicine tells you. But honestly? The history of vaccination isn't exactly sunshine and rainbows. Maybe we wouldn't see so many tragedies if people actually had the WILL TO RE-EXAMINE THE "ETERNAL TRUTH." People hate talking about it, but I'm gonna pull back the curtain on some of those dark pages for you...
Back in the day, Robert Mendelsohn, one of the heavy hitters in pediatrics, actually said: "Using live or killed vaccines actually INCREASES, RATHER THAN REDUCES, the chance of your child getting sick. For instance, the best way to protect your kid from polio is NOT GETTING VACCINATED. Sounds crazy, but it's painfully true."
Did you know the mumps vaccine carries a RISK OF MENINGITIS? Or that the measles shot can trigger ENCEPHALITIS, along with a kind of brain swelling that ALMOST ALWAYS ENDS FATALLY? Look, defending yourself against measles isn't some harmless little procedure. On top of that, side effects can include mental disabilities, seizures, paralysis, and blindness. Seriously, AREN'T MEASLES ACTUALLY LESS DANGEROUS ANYWAY?
According to science, as much as 26% of American kids vaccinated against rubella DEVELOPED SOME FORM OF ARTHRITIS. Some cases were bad enough to land them in the hospital. THE VIRUS CAN BE ISOLATED IN THE AFFECTED JOINTS FOR YEARS AFTER THE SHOT. Since rubella is most dangerous for unborn babies, it would make sense for hospital staff and every single OB-GYN to be vaccinated against it. But get this: 90% of them refuse. MAYBE THEY KNOW SOMETHING WE DON'T. And damn, wouldn't we love to know.
According to American sources, the combined DPT vaccine (diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus) CAUSES AT LEAST 1,000 DEATHS ANNUALLY among American infants.
And don't even get me started on the massive explosion of autistic children who got sick SHORTLY AFTER CERTAIN VACCINATIONS. The trend is too obvious to be just some coincidence. You really want to gamble on, say, diphtheria—which isn't even around anymore—or something much, much worse?
In a normal world, hitting a microorganism and getting an infection follows a very specific path. It's how nature intended it. THE INVADERS ARE IDENTIFIED, LOGGED, AND STORED IN MEMORY, so the next time they try anything, the body shuts them down immediately. That's how immunity works. This happens with every childhood infectious disease. Since it's a natural, normal immune response, only a tiny slice of the body's immune system (maybe 3-7%) gets busy. The rest stays ready for other fights.
Artificial immunization is a whole different ballgame. TOXIC INGREDIENTS ARE INJECTED DIRECTLY INTO THE BLOODSTREAM. That isn't how a normal infection flows, so the usual control mechanisms don't even kick in. Long story short: it's not a normal situation. UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES, THE IMMUNE SYSTEM GETS OVERWHELMED BY UP TO 70%. That's a huge problem because the body ends up being left vulnerable to other infections. Allergies and multiple sclerosis rates shoot up, too. There are probably more consequences, but they haven't studied them enough yet.
It's also common knowledge that mortality from most infectious diseases HAD ALREADY DROPPED BY ABOUT 90% BEFORE SPECIFIC VACCINES WERE INTRODUCED. And get this: after the polio vaccine came out, MORTALITY IN CERTAIN AREAS ROSE BY MORE THAN 100%. But back then, they just played with the statistics—they'd relabel polio cases as aseptic meningitis. Doctors probably couldn't wrap their heads around seeing the very disease they supposedly had such a powerful weapon against. That would mean the whole idea was a failure, and they couldn't let that happen. Not then, and not now.

Ha, AREN'T MEASLES ACTUALLY LESS DANGEROUS THEN?

🙄 good grief. obviously measles aren't LESS DANGEROUS, seeing as we vaccinate using a modified strain of the measles virus (I mean, how else do you get antibodies?) so the side effects end up looking a lot like the actual disease. but a few thousand times rarer The reality is that SSPE, which can follow a measles infection, never has been proven to occur after vaccination. in every single case, they found nucleic acid from the wild strain, not the vaccine strain. encephalitis is a dangerous and relatively common complication of measles but incredibly rare with the vaccine. also, serous meningitis shows up in one out of 200 mumps cases, compared to one in 100,000 vaccinated people. and usually, it leaves no lasting damage...

Nothing in this life is without risk. But if you consider that before the era of vaccination, about 25 to 50 children would die every year from measles in the US, and now they barely even get sick, I think the math speaks for itself.

Feels like I've run into you or someone just as clueless on another forum before. Trying to push the same half-baked stories. Sorry, but the facts don't change.

Or maybe it really is the Illuminati pulling the strings... 🤣

Benjamin Murphy2, those "brilliant" insights of yours definitely need a reality check. Honestly, you might have missed a few things here, and I’m pretty sure you pulled that "a few thousand times rarer" bit straight out of thin air.
Estimates suggest encephalitis, as a side effect of measles, pops up at a rate of about 1 in 10,000, though some authors put it closer to 1 in 100,000. You mostly see it happening in malnourished kids living in extreme poverty.
Looking at US data, back in 1900, there were 13.3 measles deaths per 100,000 people, but by 1955, that number plummeted to just 0.03. And get this—the vaccine wasn't even introduced until AFTER that drop. In other words, mortality rates tanked by over 97% BEFORE the vaccine ever hit the scene. Medicine loves to conveniently forget that part. By the time we look at 1978 data, more than half of the people catching measles had actually been vaccinated.
Lately, there's also way more chatter about potential long-term fallout from the measles vaccine, including how it might play into cancer development later in life.
One doctor over in Los Angeles put it this way: "As a father, I chose NOT to vaccinate my child. As a physician, I HAVE to follow the recommendations of health organizations, even if I don't agree with them." So, what do you think? Does he know something you don't?

I don't see why a doctor in LA would know any more than a doctor here in America, especially if the latter just finished their residency in infectious disease. Look, nobody’s stopping you from believing whatever you want... You can believe that Ida Corn Flakes cures tuberculosis for all I care. But here are some facts from the WHO... I happen to have the detailed data on rashes right in front of me, and I'm not making this up.

(Not really sure how to format these posts, so sorry if it looks a bit messy)

Measles case numbers:
1) In the pre-vaccination era

US: 200,000-500,000 annually
America: 25,000 annually

2) After vaccines were introduced:

US: 25,000 annually
America: 9 (2001), 6 (2002)

Consequences of measles: Encephalitis in 1/1,000 cases, mortality rate at 15%, permanent damage (mental disability, deafness...) in 25%
Subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE) in 1/100,000, mortality 100%
Middle ear infections
Pneumonia
Bronchiolitis

Comparing vaccinated vs. unvaccinated populations:

Unvaccinated Vaccinated

Encephalitis 1/1,000 1/1,000,000
SSPE 1/100,000 0
Mortality 1-3/1,000 0

Measles mortality in developing nations: 5-15%

Vaccine side effects: mild ones like local pain and swelling in up to 20%
Short-term fever in 5-15%
Rash in 2%

Allergic reactions and seizures in predisposed individuals have also been noted in a small number of cases.

Any link to autism, MS, or inflammatory bowel disease has never been proven, despite extensive studies...

In America, the measles vaccination rate is around 93-94%. It takes at least 95% coverage to protect the non-immune population (infants, adults over 25)...

Measles is nearly 100% contagious.

If these aren't clear arguments for vaccination, then I'm out of this debate... it's clearly moved past being rational.

Who on earth convinced you that people following a macrobiotic diet are somehow less sickly than everyone else, or that their immune systems are magically stronger? Where are you people getting this stuff from, seriously, why would you even peddle such garbage? It's just unbelievable.

I don't even know where to start with this one. Seriously. How are we even supposed to process everything that's happening right now? It feels like every time I turn around, there's another headline or another massive shift in how things work in this country, and honestly, it’s just exhausting. Does anyone else feel that weight? That constant, nagging sense that the ground is shifting under our feet? I was sitting there thinking about it earlier—just staring at my screen, wondering if anyone actually sees what's going on. Is it just me? Am I overthinking the whole situation? Because it feels like we're all just trying to keep our heads above water while the waves keep getting bigger. It’s heavy. It really is. Just... heavy. kaže:
I honestly can't wrap my head around how anyone could actually buy into this nonsense. I mean, seriously? What is this "macrobiotic diet" craze all about? And the claims about boosting your immune system? Or those ridiculous arguments about seasonal issues with fruit or dairy? It’s just absurd. Who on earth convinced you that people following a macrobiotic lifestyle are somehow less prone to getting sick or have some kind of superhuman immune system compared to everyone else? Where are you even getting this stuff from? Honestly, where do people find the nerve to peddle such blatant garbage? It’s just unbelievable.

Look, there’s actual evidence behind all of this. Real, empirical proof. Why not just dive in and see for yourself? Give it a shot.
Look, what I just laid out there? That’s really just scratching the surface. It's only one piece of the puzzle! Of course there's so much more to it than that. We aren't just talking about sticking to an AFC diet—it’s about everything else too. Sleep, physical activity, lifestyle habits... you name it. There is so much more to consider if you actually want to see results.
I’ll be honest—I’ve never been a fan of that "pill for every ill" mentality. You know what I mean? That whole approach where conventional medicine just rushes to mask the symptoms without actually looking at the bigger picture? It feels like we're just putting a Band-Aid on a broken bone sometimes. Don't get me wrong, I think both worlds have their place. There are times when you need the heavy hitters, but there are also times when you need something more holistic. Both alternative and conventional methods have had their wins, right? If it feels like alternative medicine doesn't get as much credit or shows fewer "big wins," isn't that just because way fewer people are actually out there practicing it? It’s simple math, really. It's not about effectiveness; it's just about how common the practice is.
I mean, I just can't wrap my head around the idea that illnesses are this simple thing—you know, just some random parasite invading the body or a little biochemical glitch? It feels so reductive. Like, are we really going to boil everything down to just basic physiology and call it a day? I don't buy it. Is it really that straightforward? I don't think it is.
So, what about you guys? How are you planning to handle this... how do you even want to approach it?
Science, at least the way we see it today? It just doesn't have any stomach for alternatives. It really doesn't. Why? Because it’s terrified of being proven wrong! It’s like there's this massive, built-in resistance to anything that doesn't fit the established mold. You try to bring up a different perspective, something outside the mainstream consensus, and suddenly you're met with nothing but skepticism or outright dismissal. It’s almost like they view any deviation from the "accepted truth" as a threat rather than an opportunity to learn. Does that make sense? It feels like the whole system is designed to protect its own ego instead of actually chasing the truth, no matter how messy or unconventional that truth might be. 🙂 Because they just use different methods altogether... you know? I mean, honestly, isn't that the whole point? It’s just a completely different approach.
You really have to admit it, don't you? Even today, mainstream medicine is slowly, painfully starting to embrace things that used to be tossed aside as "alternative." Take the food pyramid, for example. It wasn't even officially embraced by the health authorities until the early 90s. Can you believe that? Before then, the whole medical establishment acted like what we put on our plates had absolutely zero impact on our health. They treated diseases like they were just random acts of fate—like something handed down from above that we had no control over. But look at us now! Everything has shifted. Now, obesity is classified as a full-blown disease. It’s wild how much the conversation has changed, isn't it? 🙂 You see how things just... they change, don't they? It’s wild. Everything shifts right under your feet when you aren't looking. One minute everything feels steady, and the next? Gone. Totally different. How does that even happen?
Look, I’m telling you how it is, but hey, do whatever you want. It’s on you. You can choose to believe me or you can choose not to. That's your call. But just remember—whatever path you pick, you’ve gotta own it. You have to live with the consequences of that choice, right? You can't just half-measure your convictions. So, what now? Are we done here? Go ahead, go grab some fries at McDonald's or something. Just think about it.😍 😍

Jamie Rivera78 said:Look at the US data. Back in 1900, we were seeing 13.3 measles deaths per 100,000 people. By 1955, that number plummeted to just 0.03. And here's the kicker—the vaccine wasn't even introduced until AFTER that drop. Mortality rates tanked by over 97% BEFORE the vaccine ever hit the scene. Medicine has a funny way of conveniently forgetting that part. Then you look at 1978, and more than half of those measles cases were actually in vaccinated people.
Lately, there’s been more chatter about potential long-term fallout from the measles vaccine, including links to cancer development later in life.
One doctor out in Los Angeles put it this way: "As a father, I chose NOT to vaccinate my child. As a physician, I HAVE to follow the health organization guidelines, even if I don't agree with them." What do you think? Does he know something the rest of us don't?

Measles used to show up in massive epidemic waves every two or three years before vaccines existed. It happens because new, non-immune people are constantly being born into the population. Once the percentage of unprotected people dips below a certain threshold, you get an outbreak. You build immunity either by surviving the disease or through shots, which raises the overall immunity level. Of course, some people won't get vaccinated for all sorts of reasons. With vaccination rates near 95% today, you could say measles isn't endemic here anymore; most cases are just imported. Also, immunity can wane due to other illnesses in vaccinated folks. That low number in 1953 was just a natural dip in the cycle. Around 1960, the US saw its biggest wave, with roughly 800,000 cases. Measles is creeping back in parts of Europe. This year alone, about 30,000 unvaccinated people—mostly kids—got sick in Germany.
Those cases involving vaccinated people you mentioned? It’s most likely tied to insufficient protection in people who only got one dose.
That American doctor in the story is essentially gambling that his kid won't catch a potentially nasty disease. When he turned down the shot, he probably figured the community immunity around him was high enough that his kid wouldn't be exposed. But as time goes on, that risk is going to climb. More people will start thinking like him—look at what's happening in places like Germany—and then his kid won't be protected once they leave their immediate bubble. The risk increases as the environment changes; a little American kid might be fine at home, but they could easily catch it if they take a trip to Germany.
