I don't really listen to Skrewdriver, but there's just nothing about Angel of Death that would make me turn it off...

Honestly—I dealt with that same kind of patient back in high school. Not doing it again, thanks.

To me, > in > by > is an absolute punk masterpiece, and while > has a few decent tracks, as far as I know, they weren't always some Nazi outfit. I still dig through the first two > albums from time to time, even though those guys are the most obnoxious bunch of rednecks in America, and let’s be real, > is a notorious wifebeater—but damn, those first two > records are pure rock. It’s a real trip because with so many musicians, you don't actually know who they really are, or maybe you can't even find out, so you're just stuck living with whatever image you've built up in your head. For instance, music historians keep telling me > was a total piece of work... but so what, how am I supposed to police that? It doesn't bother me to listen to stuff even when I know the people creating it are complete degenerates; the only thing is that I might hesitate to buy their albums, though honestly, I might just end up doing it anyway... hmmm, actually, I don't even want to think about it.

Taking an intro to linguistics this semester. 😬

Besides, why do you think only people with a degree get to claim expertise in a field? Total snob alert. 😛

I don't really see why that would be an issue for you--maybe I'm missing something😬

Robin Williams6 said:To me, Banned in Boston by GG Allin is a punk masterpiece—Skrewdriver has some decent tracks too, and from what I know, they weren't always a Nazi band. I dig a few things off the first two Metallica albums, even if those guys are just the worst kind of American hicks—plus, Paul DiAnno is a notorious wifebeater, and honestly, those first two Maiden records are pure rock. It sucks because you often don't even know what musicians are actually like, or can't find out, so you're just stuck with whatever image you have of them. For instance, music historians tell me Tchaikovsky was a total creep... but so what? How am I supposed to police that? It doesn't bother me to listen to stuff made by people who are complete assholes—I might not buy their albums, though maybe I actually would... hmm, actually, I don't even want to know.

That’s exactly my point. I heard that same thing about Tchaikovsky and it sucked, because I actually love his stuff. My take on GG Allin went the other way—the question was what we thought of him as teenagers, and I realized I used to listen to him even when I didn't really like it, just because it was edgy. Now I listen to all sorts of stuff by people I consider idiots. Morrissey, for example. I love that moron.😍

Look, I wouldn't dream of taking the stairs under any normal circumstances—maybe once if I absolutely had to, but that’s it. But walking down them? God forbid, maybe just that one single time, but anything more than that is strictly out of the question. Heaven help me.

Hold up, do you actually have Transilvanian Hunger by Darktron? 🤔
It says right there on the liner notes:
"We would like to state that Transilvanian Hunger stands beyond any criticism. If any man should attempt to criticize this LP, he should be thoroughly patronized for his obviously Jewish behavior."

Killer punk record 🙂 :trash:

Man, vatrosLawa is hands down my favorite person on this entire board.

I was just sitting here thinking about how much I value my own principles, and then I remembered Costell. The guy isn't just a complete jerk; he also pulls these ideological stunts that are frankly impossible to stomach. But hey, I guess he’s still the king of this scene, isn't he?
