Alex Rogers91 said:wait, do you actually own Transilvanian Hunger by Darktron? 🤔
it says right there on the sleeve:
"We would like to state that Transilvanian Hunger stands beyond any criticism. If any man should attempt to criticize this LP, he should be thoroughly patronized for his obviously Jewish behavior."

what an incredible punk record 🙂 :trash:

man, vatrosLawa is easily my favorite person on this entire board—honestly, no contest...

I don't listen to that stuff—hell, they used to burn those records in furnaces back in the day—so I can't even bring myself to touch it. I love you, really, but damn, why don't you drop by more often? It gets pretty quiet around here... it’s not like every day feels like today. 😵

I mean, I’m Catholic on paper, so it doesn't really affect me much... but besides that, my point was pretty obvious...
nevermind.

Give me a break—calling them "alternative" is a joke! 🙂

They’re nothing more than some sort of surrogate Mother Batman types, and they went ahead and did exactly what they set out to do 🙂

I dig Death in June, even if they’re basically pushing some masked-up neo-Nazism, Satanism, and sadomasochism, plus all that queer stuff. I just listen quietly and mind my own business...

So, a question just kind of presents itself: how do you stay true to the music while actually making some damn money?
(And I’m talking about the band itself, not just being fans🤣).

Adam Moore said:Back when I was a teenage musician, bands had to fit a very specific mold just to be listenable...

Look, since I'm still a teenager, being "true" is everything to me.

I don't want to hear commercial garbage, I don't want trash, and I definitely won't touch that mindless pop junk. Gross.😢
I live for those old-school bands who played music because they actually loved it, not because they were chasing girls or trying to rake in massive payouts. Honestly, I hate those MTV posers just as much as the pop trash—people like Rihanna, 50 Cent, hell, even Linkin Park. That "What I've Done" track? Total crap. They only did it because playing the "eco-conscious" card was trendy at the time. Even Green Day feels fake now; they used to feel organic back in the days of *Dookie*, but this new stuff? Not for me.👎
Marilyn Manson feels like he's overdoing it for the sake of commerce, but the guy actually had an identity from his first album (I’ve got an MP3 collection of his, plus the best videos, which I got as a gift). He had a real vibe: Be yourself, don't fit the mold (*If you keep on choosing your scars you'll never heal*). But this recent *Eat Me, Drink Me* era?👎 😠 😕 I have no idea what happened to him. He even admitted he drifted toward some other industrial metal scene. Disgusting.
