Iβve just been sitting here, spiraling down memory lane, thinking back over thirty-one years. Man, I can still see it so clearlyβthat sleek black car, those iconic gold John Player Special letters (seriously, best damn cigarettes ever, don't @ me), Mario Andretti, Ronnie Peterson, and the legend himself, Colin Chapman.

The Eagle T1G is, without any shadow of a doubt, the most stunning car I have ever laid eyes on.

Lotus 79 - Ronnie Peterson
RIP.
He was just one of those drivers, pure American grit through and through. Word on the street is racing is basically baked into his DNA, and apparently, his kids are out there tearing up some weird karting tracks over in Bar. Legend has it he even snagged the F1 title back in '78.
And man, heβll always be etched in the golden history books of F1.
Just like his team boss, who lived by that crazy mottoβif the car isn't falling apart right after you cross the finish line, itβs probably built too heavy.
On the flip side, though, the guy was involved in... well, let's call them "shady" business dealings. There's this whole conspiracy theory floating around that his death was faked just to dodge the IRS. But hey, nobody can deny the absolute genius behind his car designs and those road cars.
Now, looking at the Lotus Evora and picturing it in sleek black with that gold John Player Special logo... honestly, I'm seriously considering selling a kidney or signing my body over to science just to get enough cash in my bank account to make it happen.

Ferrari is easily the most beautiful...
...Iβd say a BMW looks just as good...
...those Red Bull cars are way too flashy for my taste...

Sure, Ferrari is a solid choice.π
Personally, I thought their 2004 design was top-tier.

But if we're talking about the absolute peak of aestheticsβthe most beautiful car ever builtβitβs definitely this one:

I find myself pondering the aesthetic choices behind Brawn GP's current lookβwhy go this route? I suppose there is a certain striking quality to how that loud, vibrant green clashes against the stark white, especially considering they have almost no sponsors on display at the moment. It stands in such sharp contrast to the old BAR days, where they sported that iconic, seamless combination with Lucky Strike, or even the truly bizarre era under Honda, when they actually featured a world map printed right onto the car's livery...

If you look back at the old BAR days, they had a much more cohesive aesthetic with the Lucky Strike branding, and let's not even forget how bizarre Honda was when they decided to wrap their car in a literal world map...
That was certainly strange, but I believe that specific color scheme was intended to promote environmental awareness. In my estimation, though, the most absurd livery ever seen wasn't from NASCAR, but rather from prototype racing, when Porsche painted their 917 pink and actually labeled the different cuts of meat directly on the chassis. The most stunning car on the track last year was definitely the Williams... that FW30 was just a masterpiece of design! But if you ask me, this season, the absolute peak of aesthetics has to be the Red Bull and their RB4! Though, letβs be honest, when it comes to pure, iconic color schemes, Ferrari has always owned that throne... I highly doubt anyone could ever top them in that department!

Ferrari only has one color, really...
Trivia question:
what's your favorite color?π

Well, I suppose one could call that a bit of creative imagination...
In any case, allow me to provide the images from my previous post again, just to be sure:

Does anyone out there have more patience (and maybe a bit more free time) than I do to hunt down that old photo of the Ligier from about 15 years back? I'm pretty sure Hugo Pratt sketched it up just for the final race of the season. It might not be the most polished thing ever, but man, itβs a genuine work of art. Like a little 3D masterpiece. Pretty cool stuff.
Thanks in advance.
