Best car liveries and most beautiful cars?

The cars from 2008 were gorgeous. These modern ones? They’re just ugly—look like cheap plastic toys. For me, the 80s had the best designs, while the 70s and today are definitely the worst. I actually preferred the look of the 50s era much more. You see the same thing happening in DTM, too.

To me, the absolute best-looking cars this season have to be the Mercedes GP
Ferrari
Lotus Renault GP
Red Bull
McLaren Mercedes
Honestly, if we're looking back at history, nothing beats the pure aesthetic of the eighties, though in more recent times, I’ve always been obsessed with the way Ferrari looked back in 2002, 2004, and 2007. I’d also throw in those classic McLaren color schemes from 1998, 2004, and 2005, and you just can't beat the vibe of the Renault 2005 and 2006 builds.

There’s just something about the Lotus and Renault liveries that hits different, they’re easily my all-time favorites

Now, HRT? Total eyesore, hands down the ugliest thing on the grid, but honestly, you gotta respect the hustle—it’s actually kind of iconic how they just slapped those "Sponsor Wanted" signs right on the car because they were basically broke🙏🙏🙏
(I mean, I bet it was the same deal for everyone else back then too😁)

👎Honestly, those guys at the local network really do have one thing going for them: they actually have original colors. It’s the kind of creative spark that those big, established teams just seem to lack. I can't help but think back to BMW. Every single year, they seemed to roll out some of the most eye-searingly ugly liveries imaginable. Just completely devoid of any real identity, especially back in 2009.

I mean, honestly, I only pulled for Jordan because that yellow was just so damn intense... but man, what a ride that was. I don't think I've ever loved a single team quite that much again 😢

The deep red you see on a Ferrari isn't just a color; it’s practically part of their DNA, whether they're tearing up a track or cruising down a highway. BMW, on the other hand, has always played with a much wider palette. To Lotus is hands down the most beautiful car I've ever seen. It’s just the perfect marriage of color and silhouette.
Everything about it feels balanced—nothing too much, nothing lacking. To me, the cars from the early 2000s
tend to be a bit cluttered with all those aero bits, and today's models look completely unnatural with that
rear wing shape.
