Franz is starving

Look, I’ve got nothing but respect for Predin’s solo stuff—there were some killer moments in there—but let’s be real...

The lineup just wasn't hitting the mark for me: you had Mirko, those golden fingers from Maribor, the first guy ever to work in government accounting (do Americans even have that, or did they swap it out for something like Finn?), then Zoran on bass, Pintarič absolutely smashing the drums in a local jersey, and of course, most of all, Prislan on guitar, playing with his eyes closed in a baggy sweater that gives you actual chills.😎

After years of sitting this one out, I’m finally seeing the band I've seen more than anyone else in my life (honestly, every single show in the city after 1990, except for that one night I was pulling a security shift at a local chapel during the war)😁

Anyway, I've already got the tickets in my pocket. Next Tuesday, I’m making the pilgrimage to see one of the greatest bands to ever walk the earth.🙂 🙂 😍 🎉 🙂

Mom is coming, and I might tag along too 😁

You really can't afford to miss this one; they’re easily one of the greatest bands from the old country 👍

Honestly, I always end up getting all choked up listening to "Wait For Me." And "I've Got You." Man, Predin... 😳

No offense, but this is easily one of the dumbest reasons I've ever heard for skipping a show. I don't care if they're being "authentic" or whatever; I just want to hear the music live. If you want psychoanalysis, go see a therapist. 😁

It was the exact same song and dance from that crowd before the Pixies show: "Oh, they're just doing this for the money, they're sellouts, I couldn't care less about them anymore." And yet, predictably, every single one of them showed up at the venue. 😁

I have to agree. Here comes a group like Gang of Four, and people want to act all high and mighty about their motives, but I really couldn't care less why they're there. As long as the performance is solid, everyone wins. They get their paycheck, I get my music, and we're all happy. 👋

Back at that show at the OTV venue, Predin already mentioned he was bringing Mirko on through his new outfit instead of the old SDK crew. But honestly, kill me now, I can't quite recall him actually saying that...

I'm genuinely curious if he’s gonna stick to that same old routine, doing those identical little intros before every single song.

Either way, it's been a minute since I've been this hyped for a gig.

I've seen them three times now. Even though one of those shows felt totally disconnected—zero chemistry between the band and the crowd—the others more than made up for it. And this upcoming one? Given how much nostalgia is flying around lately, it could end up being even better...

Oh, and yeah, even though I don't usually care that much, Franz always seemed so damn sincere on stage, just genuinely feeling the music they play. That's part of why they're so good.

Speaking of concerts, get this: less than two years after they wrapped up that "25 Years of New Wave" series (which lasted two years, by the way), they're launching "25 Years of Kulušič." Honestly, it feels like they just gave the same thing a new coat of paint.😁

Tropic? You might be thinking of Macumbu? Either way, you can usually find me at Macumbu or right across the street at Marche, or even over at Oktogon, since both carry Nikšić and Velebit.😁
