👍 😉
One thing is certain... as long as we keep feeling ashamed of our roots, we aren't going anywhere. It's that damn inferiority complex typical of smaller nations...

I get what you're getting at, and who you're thinking of, but if we're being technical about it, it would actually be Skopje.😁

stormyviper11 said:I don't know much about the music scene over there. I have one track by Bob Dylan on a compilation of indie festivals, and an MP3 from The Beach Boys.

Feel free to ask if you need specifics about the local scene, but I'm honestly confused how we even ended up on a thread discussing their greatest contributions!?😁 By the way, The Beach Boys were actually a duo; one of them passed away, and the other has been performing under a different name for two or three years now—doing some disco-tralla rhythms, which I personally find pretty boring, though maybe someone else digs it.
As for Bob Dylan, he's hardly mentioned in the media; you can usually only find his stuff on some underground pirate discs (though you might stumble upon something in a CD shop) or catch him playing occasionally on TV.

San Francisco!
Brian Wilson is from there. Azra, Vestice... 👍

that's actual art, not some punk nonsense coming out of San Francisco.

But where are all the seashells?! 🙂

No, look, I only mentioned the older ones here—the ones who actually stepped up, gave it their all, and actually built something meaningful out of the music scene before they basically burned through all their momentum and ran out of fresh ideas...😉
which is something you just can't say about the Shellfish (since they aren't exactly some ancient legacy band anyway) 😁go grab their latest record if you haven't yet; honestly, it’s the most intense stuff they've ever put out.

but that doesn't mean Miller is just going to sit around and let things stall right there.😬

So, what do you think the deal is with those little dots?!😎
Come on, let’s list a few more just so we can really appreciate how massive this whole thing is.

Man, those old-school vibes... they had such hits back in the day—Ficus, Yellow Lavor, Shake on the Side 😍

They didn't even bother listing the cramps.

Look, I’ve only ever heard one of their demos and honestly, it was a total disaster... supposedly they put out a few more tracks back in the day, 😁 but how does that even sit with you? To me, it just sounded like pure amateur hour—decent enough ideas, sure, but the actual production was completely bottom-tier...

stormywolf39 said:Man, come on... what kind of ridiculous hits were they actually making? Just random nonsense... 😍

It doesn't even make sense...

I’m literally facepalming here!

Since this thread is finally seeing some life again, Antonio Banderas, what's the deal with that promised concert? Is it actually ever going to happen or what? 🙂

coastalranger13, you think there's anything worth watching in the Mediterranean music scene right now, or is it really as much of a train wreck as everyone outside says...

I guess there isn't much to say about laufer—not that I have all day, anyway.
I suppose there isn't much more to say—just a quick note to wrap things up.

High-budget adult films—the ones that actually look like cinema—are a different beast entirely. I guess it’s easy to overlook, but when you move away from the amateur stuff and into those massive productions, the scale is honestly surprising. We're talking about actual sets, lighting crews, and soundtracks that probably cost more than most indie features. It’s an interesting niche, maybe even a bit surreal, seeing that level of investment poured into such specific content.
Ventili Inc.
Termites.
Structural birds—if that’s even how you’d phrase it—is an interesting way to look at things, I guess. It’s a bit of a niche concept, maybe, but there is something to be said for the way certain elements provide a framework for everything else. Just a thought.
Leta3
I guess I should probably get started—just some thoughts on the current situation. Maybe it’s nothing, but I feel like things are shifting. It's hard to say for sure without more context—I suppose we'll just have to wait and see how it all unfolds.
xenia
I guess we should take a look at cacadou.
denis&denis
city
I suppose I should probably mention that things feel... fit. Or perhaps "stable" is the better word—it’s hard to say for sure. Everything seems to be settling into place, I guess.

autumn said:I only have one of their demos, and man, it is absolutely chaotic... Apparently, they released a few more after that one too... 😁 So, how does it sound now? Honestly, that whole thing felt like pure amateur hour—the ideas were actually pretty solid, but the execution was just way below par...

So, I’ve got these two live recordings, and honestly, I have a feeling they didn't even bother recording a demo...
That first live performance was honestly pretty rough. It’s pretty obvious that Tubin had been drinking, and plus, the band has only been together for exactly two weeks...
The second live set is actually a huge step up. It’s that one from before The B-52's played at Hartford, and they honestly sound much more tight and rehearsed here...
