I'm just a woman dealing with skin issues, and I shave my legs using an electric shaver. I totally ignore the psoriasis and just run the shaver right over it—don't judge me too hard, mine doesn't look nearly as bad as some of the cases you guys post, at least not yet.🙄 Every single time I do that, the flare-up recedes for about two or three weeks.😕 It happens every single time, and I've noticed this pattern for a year now. Is there a logical explanation for this, or am I just losing my mind trying to get rid of it?

Now that you mention it, I didn't want to say anything because it sounds totally crazy, but I've actually noticed my psoriasis looks way better after shaving too. It doesn't make it disappear, but it definitely looks better.🤷 Looks like we're in the same boat!🙂

I really didn't want to say anything because it sounded absolutely ridiculous, but I have to admit that I’ve noticed my psoriasis actually looks a whole lot better after hair removal. Not that it’s gone—don't get any ideas there—but the appearance is definitely improved 🤷 Well, look at us, two of a kind now 🙂

In any case, please, for the love of everything, never shave your legs with razors (and don't even get me started on those various depilatory creams)—for me, it was nothing short of catastrophic for my psoriasis... it only took one single instance for the flare-up to spread across my entire legs. Waxing, on the other hand, works wonders.

Finally, I can embrace my inner feminine side and (de)hair myself with a solid excuse 😉! Honestly, sometimes my lovely wife uses my Mach3 when she's in a rush, and I end up with breakouts all over my face! It’s high time I swipe her Epi Lady and get some payback 😁! My only dilemma—should I shave one leg or both? Which would be sexier?😲?
"Michael Ramos3"—ugh, I'm just over it...😵
But hey, I'll sign the petition 🙂

If we're talking about what's actually sexy, I'm going to steer clear of the whole leg debate 🤣 ask a wife—a wife knows 😉
but honestly, psoriasis is the ultimate aphrodisiac 😂 😂
(had to throw in a little dark humor 😁 )

We made it. Three of us. Finally. 🙂

I visited my dermatologist today, and the diagnosis is psoriasis—specifically affecting my scalp. Having spent the last 20 years dealing with various eczema flare-ups that plagued my daughter, I've done quite a bit of reading on both conditions. Dr. Višnjić was a huge help for her, and I know his name has come up on this forum before. My doctor suggested I start using CLOBEX shampoo. I tried looking for more detailed information online, but everything seems to be in English, and my proficiency there isn't quite where it needs to be. Has anyone here actually used this shampoo? I'd love to hear about your experiences.

Hello,👍

I did a little digging online, and it looks like CLOBEX is actually quite a risky product...😲
The FDA is currently considering pulling it from the market because using CLOBEX for just two weeks can cause issues with certain glands...👎
There isn't much information available in American, so here is the link in English...

Personally, I wouldn't take the chance with this one...😲 😲

Hi,
this is my first time posting here. I’ve been dealing with psoriasis since 1993, right after my first child was born. For a long time, it wasn't too bad—just some patches on my knees, elbows, and shins—but the palms of my hands have been the absolute worst. The skin just cracks open and leaves actual wounds. Now, it seems to be spreading. Over the last fifteen years, I feel like I've tried everything under the sun, and even standard steroid creams haven't done much. The only thing that actually worked was Dermovate; it cleared everything up for quite a while, but now I can't find it anywhere in the US.
I was wondering if anyone knows where I might be able to source Dermovate, or if anyone here has any experience using the Zepter Bioptron lamp?
Best regards to everyone.

Hi everyone!
Hey ŠVRĆO, you should be able to find Dermovate at most major drugstores over in Bihać, it’s honestly the only cream that has ever worked for me.

Thanks, Alexander Rodriguez69. That's honestly the only ointment that actually worked for me, too, but you can't even find it in American pharmacies anymore.

One more question. Is it possible to pick up Dermovate without a prescription?

Hey everyone! 🙂

Hey Švrćo, I also developed psoriasis right after my pregnancy. But since you've been dealing with this way longer than I have, I wanted to ask: since '91, have you ever had a period where it was completely gone? Like, not even a single spot?

Yeah, you can! You can get as much as you want... the price is 5.3 miles or $10.

Schvrco, I actually developed psoriasis right after my pregnancy too, but you've clearly been dealing with this way longer than I have. It makes me wonder—since you've been managing this since '91, have you ever had a period where it completely cleared up? Like, zero spots, nothing at all?

Unfortunately, never. Though, that stretch when I was using Dermovate... things almost entirely subsided. I just have a little bit left on my elbows. Honestly, the elbows and knees don't even bother me much anymore; I've just gotten used to it. The real issue is my palms. For instance, right now while I'm typing, the skin on my fingertips is just cracking. It creates these tiny cuts that bleed, and they sting constantly. It's quite annoying.
It'll get better:😛

Alexander Rodriguez69, thanks for the info.👍

Best,

I've used the Bioptron lamp before, and honestly, it did absolutely nothing for me. I've heard from others who used it for stuff like arthritis that it didn't help them either. Luckily I didn't have to pay for it since I was just borrowing it; those things are pricey. I think they used to go for about $800.

Greetings, everyone. I’ve been dealing with psoriasis myself for some time now, and recently I started using Dermacel cream. While I have noticed a slight reduction in the itching sensation since I began, the actual condition remains stubbornly unchanged—it's as if the symptoms are just idling rather than improving. It has led me to wonder if there might be a more effective topical treatment out there. I did attempt to use Naturavit, but in my experience, the results were underwhelming at best.

Maybe take a look through the last few pages of this thread...😉

Well, look at that.

I guess I have something in common with the rest of you people on this forum.

Everyone keeps telling me to go back and dig through the old threads.

It’s honestly pretty wild how much this lines up.

I’d suggest listening to those actually living with psoriasis rather than the salespeople... 😍

Is anyone currently heading up to the Bioptron for some salad therapy? How’s the scene looking up there—is it getting crowded? 🥳
