AND I'M TELLING YOU, THE OINTMENT IS LIKE MAGIC FOR THE SKIN, and I started using the cream on the hairier spots (my head and groin area), and honestly, I'm super stoked because after less than two weeks, I'm already seeing results, especially on my head, since my skin doesn't feel so tight anymore and it's making me way less stressed out!! I apply the cream once a day all over my head and rub the ointment on my elbows and everywhere else a few times a day; yeah, the whole routine eats up maybe an hour or two of my day, but I'd happily give up half a day just to get some peace of mind, because seriously, it's so hard for me to stay calm about this, so there's no room for slacking off! YOU HAVE TO BE SUPER PERSISTENT, that is everything, and right now I am going full throttle like a beast, so we'll see how much more progress I make and I'll write back when things get even better! By the way, both the ointment and the cream cost about 15 bucks each!! BYE

I just got back from a two-week trip to the coast

I was back at the clinic again this morning. Honestly, I can't quite wrap my head around it... especially since my doctor officially confirmed it's psoriatic arthritis. It’s hard to believe this stuff actually caught up with me in my twenties.

Nothing special—not even a basic tan. Just tanning—well, more like baking—plus swimming, and that’s it. It's been a pretty mellow summer, what can I say?😉

I've been catching up on the recent posts as much as I can, and I wanted to ask if anyone could tell me what kind of results they got from using Place cream? I'm thinking about giving it a shot. Thanks in advance for the help.

Personally, it didn't do much for me, but I know someone who had absolutely amazing results using "Place."
I've been on a pretty radical diet for a while now, so I think I'll give the Place cream another go soon...
I just started using "Zorac," since it finally showed up at a local pharmacy near me in Boise...

I can tell you that Place is a total lifesaver. I’ve been using it lately, and with all this sun and swimming, I’m really banking on it helping out. My routine is pretty specific: apply it for three days straight without getting in the water, then wash up on the fourth day. After that, you can either skip a day or go back at it. When I'm in the middle of a three-day application phase, I stay out of the ocean. Once I head to the beach, I take a week off from using it altogether. Now, about Zorax—be careful with that stuff. It’s harsh on healthy skin. You should only apply it directly to the redness, nothing else. Just hit the edges of the irritation and stop there. It might help your dad too, but honestly, it's loaded with chemicals, and I try to avoid that kind of stuff whenever possible. Maybe test it out on your leg first instead of jumping straight to your face. And don't go overboard applying it everywhere; just follow the percentage instructions in the recipe for the affected area.

Personally, I don't know anyone else dealing with this, so I figured I was one of the rare ones. Everyone else just doesn't get what we're going through or how much it sucks...
I'm not sure if any of you have heard about sulfur-rich water. A lady I was shopping with the other day told me she used it to clear up her son's psoriasis. It sounds a bit hard to believe, but hey, you never know. Might be worth a try...

....I totally get why you're surprised, but there are quite a few of us out there! I used to think the exact same thing—that I was one of the only people in the whole country dealing with psoriasis. Turns out, that wasn't true at all... This forum really helped me, though. At least it gave me a place to start talking about everything. Before this, I just didn't have the strength. I was feeling pretty depressed, even if that sounds like a heavy word to use...

As for the sulfur water... I remember reading somewhere that saltwater helps, like the ocean, and water with sulfur is good too. On the flip side, they say chlorine is bad for it. So, stay away from swimming pools!
I haven't tested that theory yet, though... If you find out where to get that water, let me know. I'm clueless!

So, I headed to the doctor today because I needed some test results sorted out for my move to San Francisco!
I've actually been living in Switzerland for a little while now, and whenever I need medical help, I just see this one specific doctor here... honestly, I'm so grateful for him.
He keeps saying he can't believe how our doctors back home don't take much more action regarding diseases like this... for my little fish, he just tells me not to rely on them, and he’s genuinely shocked that we usually have to pay for everything ourselves.
As he puts it... if I could get treated here instead, it would be so much better, and he's totally convinced of that!
Personally, I'm completely disillusioned with doctors... I really avoid going unless I absolutely have to... but I can see there are still good people out there!
This doctor, who isn't even obligated to take me on, basically treats me like his own patient... back home, not a single doctor does anything more than the standard routine of prescribing Elocom or Diprosalic.
The doctor here told me, just like I wouldn't bother going to the specialized dermatology institute back home, you can't exactly explain to people here that it isn't that simple, right?!!!
Believe it or not, he didn't even charge me for the exam—just the lab work for the blood tests, or maybe if he gives me a cream or something. Back home, those private sharks are only looking for ways to stuff their wallets. He even offered to ask a colleague dermatologist to give me a free consultation just to get a second opinion... I couldn't believe it.
Whether you believe it or not, there are still good people left in the world...

Honestly, dealing with doctors is a total waste of time. In the ten years I've been fighting psoriasis, I’ve only had one single doctor who actually bothered to try and help me. He even sent me all the way to Salt Lake City because they supposedly have the most high-tech equipment there—some kind of advanced phototherapy setup. Well, I tried it. It did absolutely nothing for me, and it was incredibly expensive for zero results. As for the mineral water, there's a specific spring out near Boise that's supposed to be great, but I haven't had the chance to get out there and try it yet. I'm going to attempt to make the trip to the water soon. If it actually works, I'll recommend it to everyone else struggling with psoriasis. Peace.
