Incubus recommendations?

Science is the big leagues—you’ve gotta make it count when you get those rare, decent moments. That morning view was honestly such a ridiculous joke, though. A crow flew by... whatever, it was fine. The last part? Nothing special at all... just there.

I don't know what it is, but I honestly think flashbangs is a masterpiece....tracks like Annie Hall and Google just hit different for me; I’d go as far as saying they’re some of the best rock songs out there from the last five years or so.

I've been stuck on loop with "Annie Hall" lately🙂. They’ve got this specific vibe that just hits right👍. Looking back at the older stuff, I'm still obsessed with "Glass" and "Sick Sad Little World"... give them a listen, or if you've already heard them, then👍

I partially agree (for me, it's just Google), but I find Rogues, Pendulous Threads, and A Kiss to Send Us Off to be absolute genius.🙂
As for their older stuff, my favorite is obviously their biggest hit, which is 🙂 😉

So, I’ve only actually listened to their latest album, and honestly? Annie Hall is easily my favorite track—it just hits different. But seeing how much you guys are raving about their entire discography... man, you've convinced me. I think I'm gonna go ahead and grab the rest of them too!

S.C.I.E.N.C.E. stands as a solid effort. Looking across their broader discography, I find myself gravitating toward specific tracks like "Drive," "Wish You Were Here," "Megalomaniac," and "Love Hurts." They aren't necessarily groundbreaking masterpieces, but they remain consistently listenable.

They spent four times longer crafting this new album than they did on any of their previous work. Honestly, I wouldn't go so far as to say it’s a massive leap forward compared to the last two releases, but let's be real—it's still an absolute masterpiece.👍

Man, it feels like everyone in America is listening to Incubus lately... everywhere I turn, they're playing. Just a quick heads-up for those of you asking—since there seem to be a ton of fans out there—the word is that the new Incubus album is dropping late this year, maybe even right at the end of the season. 🙂
Meanwhile, the frontman Brandon Boyd took a little detour into his solo stuff and released his first single album, >, back in June. Personally, I’m digging it; there’s something about it that’s just cool in a really strange, unexpected way. Just thought I'd share my two cents... peace.

So, here I am... probably the biggest Alcoholic in America out there...
Basically, the new "If not now, when" album leaked early—it wasn't supposed to drop until July—but hey, miracles happen, right? 🙂

And obviously, I couldn't help myself; I had to download it immediately. It’s got this slow, lingering vibe to it... it’s one of those records that actually grows on you the more you listen. Just like everything else they do, most people might hear it once and think it’s nothing special, but my initial reaction was basically, "What kind of nonsense is this? Why did I wait five years for this?" I actually deleted it from my computer at first, only to realize I needed to give it a second chance—and I’m glad I did. At first glance, the album feels like that quiet, unassuming girl who doesn't say much, but once you really get to know her, you realize how much she's worth. That's the best way I can describe it... Once it officially hits the shelves, I'm buying it just to set things right with my favorite band..

Tracklist and my thoughts:
1. If not now, when (I can't quite get my footing with this one; it feels a bit dragged out, maybe the weakest track, almost like some cheesy 80s theme song)

2. Promises, promises (A little repetitive, but solid. I can easily see this being the next big video on MTV or getting heavy rotation on the radio)

3. Friends and lovers (Not the absolute standout on the record, but it comes pretty close)

4. Thieves (Got that nautical theme going; I dig it, really good stuff)

5. Isadora (I skipped this one at first, but I don't anymore 😁, it's a great track)

6. The original (A special one. It starts slow, picks up speed later, and it's a deeply meaningful song that hits home for me personally)

7. Defiance (A bit short, but it feels like the frontman wrote the whole thing himself—both the music and the lyrics)

8. 🙏 In the Company of Wolves (My deepest respect to this one. It runs over seven minutes and stays slow, but man, it is incredibly powerful. That bass line is killer)

9. Switchblade (An interesting track, probably the only one with a bit of that adolescent edge)

10. Adolescents (The perfect single choice. It’s a classic, high-energy Incubus track. Lyrically, it might not be strictly up to Boyd's usual standards, but it fits the flow perfectly)

11. Tomorrow's food (It has a unique energy to it. I’ve heard them play this live during a set at a university before, so I'm thrilled they included it on the album)

*It feels a little strange to me that they didn't include "Surface to Air" on the tracklist, but I guess it is what it is...

Overall, you won't find those massive, flashy solo moments like you did with "Priceless," "Sick Little World," or "Rouges," but because of that, the album is incredibly melodic. It’s full of songs that just stick in your head, the kind you find yourself humming all day. This is definitely an album you shouldn't overlook...

Honestly, this latest album is hands down one of the most boring things I've listened to in years. It’s just plain bad 👎
