Slowly rising, little loser He stumbled in, looking for some kind of solid ground to stand on after that brutal fall. John Doe appeared right there in the doorway of the saloon. ruggedfox28 With his double-barrel shotgun. BANG!!! A violent blast of a hundred buckshot pellets sent him flying— A little lost cause. Across the street. He curled up in the dust for a second longer before finally settling down.

Look, if I actually wanted him dead, I would’ve made it happen—simple as that. John Doe
Yeah, there was no need for that—agreed. fortinbras
"What now? I was just sweeping the front of the bar," he said—sounding completely defeated. ruggedfox28
"What are you all staring at? What now..." he muttered, clearly annoyed.
"He's fine—he just took a nasty hit to the head," he said. John Doe Kneeling next to Sheriff Dorian.

John Doe went through absolute hell. darkmarlin16 Body found on the street. People are visibly shaken up. Clark He tossed it. darkmarlin16 Looking out the window.

"What the hell..." — he was just confused. ruggedfox28
So, I did a little cleaning on the inside — he chimed in. Clark Peering through the shattered window.
"Hang him!" someone yelled.
"Yeah, just hang the damn thing up!" she screamed. I don't know what to tell you—just total nonsense.I'm not sure what you're asking. Could you clarify? stormybadger8 He was out there insisting they shouldn't gouge the victim's eyes out.
"Hey, hey... easy now. No one's hanging anyone today," he muttered. John Doe Calm the crowd down.

Most of the staff will be out soon—just a heads up. John Doe A crowd gathered outside the salon, making quite a scene. darkmarlin16 I don't know about you, but I've been thinking about the whole hanging thing—just how much weight someone can actually carry before everything snaps. It’s heavy stuff. Real heavy. John Doe It was like he was slowly losing ground against an angry mob.
Two shots fired into the air from a high-end rifle. mobberzga Things have finally cooled down.

"Enough! We need to get moving on those other damn bastards right now," he barked.
"Exactly—I need people for the chase!" he added. John Doe

While the bravest of them were busy saddling up their horses and gearing up for a chase, about ten miles out in the middle of the prairie, one guy was masterfully handling a stagecoach. There was really only one man capable of driving like that...

"John Doe!!!" he yelled. mazgooonGripping the reins tight.

Through the cloud of dust kicked up by the carriage, the war cries of a few John Does drifted toward us.

It continues...

Alright, listen up, cowboys—both the veterans and the rookies. The hunt for Pil and the gang is officially on. Leading the charge is John Doe. He'll be riding alongside mobberzg, stormybadger8, and fortinbras. We still need four more. Basically, the first four people to step up in the upcoming posts join the squad. This can include anyone not already mentioned in the story—except Max and black pig, since their roles are already set.

First off, let me just say it again: this is absolutely brilliant. 🙏 🙏
That’s one less person for the task force to worry about. 🙂

I’m telling you, you’ve totally missed the mark with how you're handling the main guy here 🙂

So let's just say I decided to jump into the chase myself... even though bartenders usually don't do that kind of thing 😬

And so, having been nearly lynched after taking a beating and being tossed right out the window, darkmarlin16 ends up being the second one to sign up for the manhunt to find his buddy. One has to wonder... is he actually the chosen one? 🙏

I mean, look at the situation. They basically left him completely at the mercy of the local Sheriff Dorian...
It’s pretty obvious what's happening here. He's looking for payback because they ran from justice instead of even attempting to step up and save him. 😬

The posse was formed fast and already mounted up. Sheriff William Bennett53 , who Patagonia had just given a reassuring pat on the head, was barking out final orders.

- They’ve got a thirty-minute head start, and they’re definitely heading toward Eau Rouge . - he said.
- We should catch them by nightfall if we don't dawdle. - said stormybadger8
- And what about darkmarlin16 ? What's the plan for him?! - asked fortinbras
- If we leave him behind, these guys will have him swinging from a tree the second you blink. - John Doe told the
sheriff William Bennett53 .

And just like that, John Doe, mobberzg, stormybadger8, fortinbras, ruggedfox28, shadowstag10, and shadowhawk24 tore off at a full gallop after the outlaws.
The outlaws were indeed pushing toward the Eau Rouge canyon. Though, Jason Campbell70 had veered off at the junction toward Tamburel , a tiny town about half a day's ride from John Doe .

Meanwhile, mazgooon's expert driving was being put to the test as the John Doe riders closed in, their wild screams chilling everyone to the bone. The most persistent one was rustycobra32 , a young warrior from the same tribe, taken as a prisoner by the John Doe years ago when he was just a boy and raised as one of their own. Pulling up right to the rear of the carriage, he engaged the DRS on his Mustang, pulling up side-by-side with the vehicle. But the master defender, the seasoned mazgooon , reined in his horses just enough to let rustycobra32 slip past, hitting the perfect apex on the next turn and reclaiming what looked like a lost position. Masterful—absolute class.

In the meantime, gfggfg's crew was running into trouble because John Doe's horse was falling further and further behind...

...plus I still really need to get better at braking and mastering how to use the KERS system properly.
It’s all good though, I've still got plenty of years left in me to figure it out...🤣🤣

Hmm, I’m still trying to wrap my head around whether those two gunmen from the saloon are actually tied to the gang that hit the prison, or if we’re just looking at two separate incidents that happened to collide at the exact same moment?

And poor Sheriff Dorian, with the whole posse out on the hunt, yet he’s stuck babysitting some brat who’s clearly begging for a deserved beating. 🤷 It’s a good thing John Doe is there to patch him up, otherwise, he’d be absolutely screwed...

I’m just stating the obvious here—still looking for a bit more 😁

The idea itself is solid, honestly—it's just a shame they didn't put it all together in one go.

That's an easy fix once this is wrapped up.😁
I'll show Dorian (assuming he hasn't figured it out yet...) how to clone threads and posts...
Then we can easily stitch everything together into one cohesive story.😁

While things were heating up out by the Paddock, inside the small town saloon, William Bennett53 was sitting there trying to squeeze some useful intel out of darkmarlin16. He was being kept company by Patagonia, Nathan Jones98 and Clark.

- So, let me get this straight—you don't know a single thing about breaking that lowlife out of jail, huh? the sheriff barked angrily.
- Nope. We just came by for a drink. - darkmarlin16 replied, totally deadpan.
- A drink... please. - Nathan Jones98 spat on the floor with pure disgust.
- Seriously, what part of that isn't clear?! - darkmarlin16 wondered aloud.
- Alright, fine. But what about that train robbery last week over in Tamburel? You're clueless about that too? - William Bennett53 pressed him.
- What train? - darkmarlin16 asked, just shrugging his shoulders.
- The one carrying the railroad payroll and some gold coins belonging to Mr. The End. - the sheriff explained.
- I have no idea what you're talking about! - darkmarlin16 snapped back.
- Then explain this. I found this gold coin right next to your horse outside the saloon! - the sheriff yelled, slamming the darkmarlin16 coin down on the table before standing up in a rage.
- Wait, this is a gold coin? - darkmarlin16 asked, squinting at the coin.
- You know what, Sheriff? Just give me five minutes alone with him. Just five minutes... - Nathan Jones98 pleaded, barely holding back his temper.
- Look, I'm just saying, this doesn't look like gold to me. It's not gold-colored, it's more like an ochre shade... - darkmarlin16 insisted, completely convinced he was right.
- He is playing us all for fools! - Clark commented with a cynical laugh.
- Oh, really? It's not ochre to you? Honestly, does anyone here actually have working eyes or...

BAM!!!

Nathan Jones98 channeled all that pent-up rage into a right hook, catching darkmarlin16 square in the face. The guy just collapsed onto the floor along with his chair, while the coin rolled across the wooden floor toward the bar, slowed down, spun twice, and stopped.
Just then, steelmaker83 burst into the saloon like he was running from the devil himself.

- They're coming... they're coming to hang darkmarlin16! - he managed to gasp out, completely out of breath.

To be continued...
