In that split second, a massive volley of gunfire ripped through the saloon—wood splinters flew off the walls, and glass bottles and glasses behind the bar shattered instantly. The deafening roar of the shooting lasted about thirty seconds before a thick cloud of white smoke completely swallowed the street.
