but you can't really tell from this angle

they were practically right on top of him with the camera while Gary was pointing it out—it's very possible that actually killed the tires. Try doing that yourself later and see if you get the same view.

Tire removed from Vettel's car.

It's clearly a cut. Not some mistake or a structural failure within the tire itself, but an actual cut.

It looks like Kimi Raikkonen just smashed a record, scoring points in twenty-five consecutive races!
By the way, does anyone else get the feeling that Kimi is starting to lose his patience with the incompetent pit wall over at Lotus?
It isn't the first time they've thrown a split strategy at him, either. Honestly, I don't think this romance is going to last much longer.

😍

With Bridgestone's, you just give it a quick wipe, let it dry, and you're good to go.

What can I even say... that was a fantastic race. Where do you even begin? PIRELLI=A DISGRACE. Mercedes looks like they can actually hold their own against Red Bull Racing and Ferrari; both drivers put in an incredible performance today. Kudos to Lewis Hamilton for that start, though he managed to claw his way back brilliantly... still, I guess the safety car helped things along a bit. 😁Nico Rosberg definitely deserved that win. To be honest, I expected more from Kimi Raikkonen, but there it is—5th place. He made up three spots, but it looks like that’s as far as it goes. Alonso benefited the most after Paul di Resta, jumping from 9th to 3rd, plus that business with Sebastian Vettel... it's hard to imagine him doing any better. ☕.
Massa finishing 6th was phenomenal. Such an excellent start, too; who knows what might have happened if he hadn't had that tire blowout, but oh well... Mark Webber also drove great; after a rough start and that little clip with Romain Grosjean, it was a massive comeback...
As for Vettel... my entire comment is just 🤣.🤣 😁, damn, you can't have luck every single time. Even with him dropping out, I suppose he's made this Formula 1 season more interesting, at least for now... 😬.
All in all, it was a beautiful Formula 1 weekend. A legendary Silverstone, though Pirelli threw a bit of a stain on the whole thing with those "wonderful" tires, but hey, it is what it is. 🙂.

They finally pinpointed what caused those tire failures:

I can't believe I'm doing this again, but here we go. Just some thoughts floating around my head today. Honestly, sometimes life feels like a total whirlwind, doesn't it? One minute you're cruising along, and the next, everything just hits the fan. But hey, that's just how it goes! We roll with the punches, right? Anyway, I'm just hanging out, keeping things chill. Hope everyone's having a killer day! kaže:
Where did these clones even come from? Did they just roll in from the European Union?

Way too much effort for just one account. 😂

But hey, keep being jealous—it’s a good look on you. 🤣

Why are you guys even acting surprised? It’s like you didn't see the massive wave of bitterness, frustration, and straight-up insults flying around here after Canada and that maestro pulling off a +4 position jump from 6th to 2nd with four overtakes on track.
Man, seeing the maestro charge through at Silverstone was insane. He jumped from 9th all the way up to 3rd in just ten laps. Absolute beast mode. So, yeah, you can bet the haters and the trolls are going to be out in full force now. Expect the jealousy and the trash talk directed at the maestro and his fans to spike by at least 33% after a move like that. 😂

1601:

A quick debrief from Mark Webber following his stellar P2 finish during his swan song at the British Grand Prix.

"Today was a complete whirlwind. We started out with that collision involving Romain Grosjean—it left the wing looking pretty rough. Thankfully, the crew absolutely nailed the repair before we even hit the track. Once we were running, I found myself crossing my fingers for a safety car, but honestly, the timing felt off. It was Russian Roulette. Still, I managed to play the hand we were dealt; the strategy was top-tier, and for a moment, I looked over and thought, 'Well, there’s Nico, sitting in the last available spot.' I would have loved a few extra laps to stretch things out, but that’s just how the luck falls in this sport. We easily could have ended up right here without a single puncture, staring at an empty podium instead of a trophy.

After the race, RTL sat down with Kimi Raikkonen to pick his brain about what's next on the horizon.

"It’s pretty straightforward. I want a winning car, and Red Bull has exactly that. My contract wraps up at the end of the year, so of course I'm looking around."

Do me a favor and upgrade that thing before next season, because you won't be able to keep up once the odometer starts spinning uncontrollably.

If he’s got xx overtakes, then what was Hamilton or Weber sitting at? ☕

The maestro's trackside slapping session:

kimi raikkonen
grosjean
verne
lewis hamilton

ricciardo

kimi

10 overtakes 🙏, 3 world champions 🙏, and some (kimi and button) actually caught a double dose of the maestro's magic 🙏

P.S. I probably messed up the list... 🤣 forgive me, maestro, if I accidentally skipped an overtake, but you gotta realize mistakes happen when there are just this many passes to count...

Fernando Alonso is definitely a top-tier driver, but some of you are being incredibly childish with the worship,
treating every little thing he did as if he completely dominated the field. Even just passing slower cars using DRS on a long straight is being labeled as him "outclassing" them. It’s honestly ridiculous... It just feels like people are venting their frustrations over how Sebastian Vettel is performing.
Sure, Alonso climbed from 9th to 3rd, but let's look at the reality: Lewis Hamilton had a tire failure, Felipe Massa had a tire failure, and Sebastian Vettel dropped out. Right after the first pit stop, he lunged right in front of Ricciardo because his crew took about 7.4 seconds to swap tires. Then, in this final stretch, he "outplayed" Kimi Raikkonen simply because Lotus left him on old tires, plus Sergio Perez moved in a way that caused another tire blowout. (To be fair, Perez probably would have stayed ahead anyway, but he could have held him up just enough to save the rubber. And even then, beating Kimi would have been tough if he had changed tires too.) Given all those lucky breaks, he earned that 3rd place spot. We need to be realistic—praise his brilliant moves when they happen, because he certainly makes them, but don't try to turn him into a hero based on a race like this. To me, the real hero of the race is Lewis Hamilton; if the SC had come out just a few laps earlier, he easily could have overtaken Fernando and fought his way onto the podium despite all that lost time with the tire issue.

but hey, let the crew enjoy the little things... it hasn't been easy for them through all these seasons after so much disappointment and missed titles 😉

Honestly, watching them blow smoke about irrelevant nonsense is more entertaining for me, because I know how much these last few seasons have hurt 🙂

and this one looks like it's on track for some masterclass disappointments too... 😬
