Did you just start watching Formula 1 this season? Based on those comments, I’m starting to wonder.

Tyler Bennett5 said:Kudos to Mark and Lewis. Huge congrats to Nico Rosberg on taking the win.
I mean, what exactly did Fernando Alonso do today to make his fans feel so vindicated?
Was it just because the guys ahead of him either blew their tires or had to retire?
Felipe Massa started right behind him, but after that tire failure, he had such a massive struggle just to limp back to the pits
that he ended up finishing only 7 seconds behind Alonso.

I mean, what kind of luck was that—the SC coming out at the perfect moment for him?

Not to mention that other SC right before it too.

From what I can see, that safety car only hurt Alonso; it actually helped everyone else close the gap to the leaders.

Yeah, I did say the German would take it😉. Obviously, I meant Sebastian Vettel😛.

I’ve noticed that the reaction to the race has been incredibly heated, with many of you frequently crossing the line of decent forum etiquette.
I sincerely hope this kind of behavior doesn't become your new normal!!!

I've been following you guys and it's clear you really know your stuff when it comes to Formula 1. Personally, I've just been watching for about 30 years without ever trying to get too deep into analyzing the races, the drivers, or—heaven forbid—the rules. It took me a while to realize this whole circus is a much bigger business than us mere mortals could ever imagine, so I don't bother stressing over it.
But hey, tell me, can anyone actually figure out why they didn't call Kimi into the pits during that last SC?
Are they still paying him based on how many points he scores?
If that's the case, there's your answer right there.
And look at those savings for Lotus.

They messed up Kimi Raikkonen's race, which is such a shame... though I can't say I'm surprised. To be honest, the Lotus pit wall hasn't exactly been the gold standard for reliability lately.

I, honestly, no matter how hard I try, I just can't wrap my head around how Kimi managed to hold off Mark Webber, Fernando Alonso, and Lewis Hamilton in those final laps...
Especially on this year's Pirelli tires.
They were already 20 or more laps old...

They'd probably make more money if they actually chased constructor points and titles...
Personally, I think it was just a boneheaded call—kind of like that situation with Fernando Alonso and his broken wing.

Yeah. It's probably cheaper for them if Kimi just doesn't win 🙄, because let's face it, the prize money for a win or—heaven forbid—a championship title at the end of the season is peanuts. Kimi is just too expensive 🙄

The logic 🙏 🙏 🙏

What a race!
Sebastian Vettel was just as convincing as ever, right up until that mechanical failure hit him.
Nico Rosberg takes his second win of the season; it feels like Formula 1 is turning back into a sport dominated almost exclusively by the Germans.
Mark Webber managed to pull off an incredible drive after such a lackluster start.
As for Fernando Alonso, that climb onto the podium was a mix of brilliant driving and a healthy dose of pure luck.
Lewis Hamilton drove a solid race, especially considering that tire blowout he had to contend with.
Kimi Raikkonen really became a victim of the strategy calls over at Lotus. Had they brought him in for a pit stop, he likely would have walked away with a podium finish, wouldn't he? But even so, it wasn't a bad showing, as he managed to outdo Schumacher's streak by scoring points in his 25th consecutive race.

I'm seriously expecting a massive jump of at least 4 or 5 spots for the legendary 🙏

Congratulations! You actually called this one much better than you did last time.

Look, honestly—everyone knew he wasn't built to handle this kind of pressure. I’ve said it before, back when things were still relatively steady, so don't act like I'm just now making this up out of thin air
But if you ask me? He's going to snap like a cheap twig under all this stress. Mark, seriously, please 😁🙂

It wasn't Vettel who snapped, it was the gearbox. 😉

Neither Kimi nor Lotus have a shot at the title this year, and honestly, the folks over at Lotus know that better than we do—though we're starting to realize it too.
I really hope I'm wrong about that.
If I am, I'll strip down naked on the beach in November, dance around, take some photos, and post them right here on the forum.

Just when I'm actually looking forward to hearing his take, he vanishes... that's about how much I trust the American telecommunications infrastructure.

He’s gone... completely off the grid.☕

It was all easy enough to peddle empty promises back when he was profiting from everyone else's misfortune, but now? Now he deserves to feel the bitter sting of defeat just like the rest of us.

10 overtakes 🙏, 3 world champions 🙏, and some (kimi and button) actually caught a double dose of the maestro's magic 🙏

P.S. I probably messed up the list... 🤣 forgive me, maestro, if I accidentally skipped an overtake, but you gotta realize mistakes happen when there are just this many passes to count...

I actually thought I’d missed someone earlier, so I went back to rewatch the maestro in action and realized he totally outmaneuvered Hulk in the first lap too, though it didn't look super obvious on the broadcast.

So, here is the full list of drivers who got played in a direct duel with the maestro on track:

1. Hulk
2. Button
3. Romain Grosjean
4. Kimi Raikkonen
5. Romain Grosjean
6. Vettel
7. Lewis Hamilton
8. Button
9. Ricciardo
10. Sutil
11. Kimi Raikkonen

Now that he's smashed that record, we can pretty much say Kimi is finally evolving from a wild card into a tactical driver. He's starting to look more like Jenson Button and way less like his hero James Hunt.

Congrats! You actually nailed the prediction for this race, unlike last time.

Man, I nailed the last one too, you just didn't want to admit it. 🙂

Signal is a total train wreck. 🙂
The TV signal is absolute garbage right now. My DirecTV keeps cutting out constantly. At least I can still catch ORF or RTL, even if watching Mexican channels is driving me insane.

What’s there even to say about the race? Honestly, I don't know where to start.😢
Total mess with that breakdown, but honestly, thank God we've got Mark Webber.😁
He just smothered the competition again, which helped minimize the damage.

The maestro absolutely nailed it—he messed up so spectacularly that even he realized it himself.🙏
It feels like Lotus and Ferrari have completely checked out of the title fight. With how much luck everyone else has been having and all those trophies flying around, the gap between them and the leaders isn't even shrinking anymore. It’s basically over.
Exactly what I’ve been dreading since the start of the season is starting to happen.😳
Mercedes is a damn beast of a machine. Both Hamilton and Rosberg are definitely going to be title contenders.
Dammit, if it wasn't for that tire issue and the gearbox failure, I'm not even sure Vettel would have stood a chance. Honestly, Hamilton probably would've had him before he could even blink.
He was fast, sure, but he only made it into the pits twice.

Across the board, Mercedes has become serious competition for both titles.

Come on, now you're starting to act just as foolishly as you used to—eventually, we’re going to end up with nothing but a complete mess and constant, nonstop chaos. 😁😁

Did you forget to account for the crowd's reaction when he went off again? Or maybe you did—but honestly, what does that actually prove? It doesn't point toward any real conclusion.
Just take a good, hard look at how he left Horner and the rest of the crew—just look at his face, honestly. You can see it in his body language alone.

I’m telling you—with the way the crowd treats him, he never stood a chance. He wasn't some saintly figure or a grandfatherly type who cared about the masses; frankly, he couldn't have given less of a damn about those ordinary people out there who absolutely loathe him. 😁

I'd mostly agree with this.
Except for that first part. They haven't exactly been the golden children of luck lately either.

If his performance on track starts to suffer, then I will gladly concede the point to you. However, looking at how he drove yesterday, I didn't see any sign that he had mentally cracked. He was controlling the race from the front once again, and most likely would have secured the win if it weren't for that gearbox failure.
