Nicole James said:On the Religion subreddit, you have all sorts of different people claiming that "other" faiths are offensive. You have some who worship Jesus as God, while others find that very idea to be sacrilegious. There have even been those who worship Satan... The way my moderation could be interpreted isn't any different from how the moderation of any user, regardless of their religious convictions, could be interpreted.

🤣 It seems pretty clear you don't have much grasp on Religion or how spiritual experiences actually work.

It’s hard to imagine anyone being offended if they simply recognized and respected someone else's right to be a Jew or a Muslim. By respecting their faith—or even just their freedom of choice—they are respecting them as human beings. That is an absolute basic tenet of every one of those faiths.

Do you personally respect Christianity or Islam, for instance? Do you respect Christians?

I’ve checked out that PDF several times, and honestly, what that self-proclaimed supermod writes is nothing more than constant insults and trolling. It’s gotten to the point where I haven't even wanted to start a single thread on topics I actually care about because of him. I just bypass that file entirely. Don't you think you all should act like true believers and just let him play with his little toy instead of constantly arguing? I wouldn't give them the time of day—if I saw people like that out on the street, I wouldn't even spit in their direction, seriously... 😉

Well, you can see people are doing it less often now—I personally avoid it too. I didn't want to say anything until I stumbled upon this thread, because it’s pretty obvious to everyone that those types are running the show at the top of Reddit, and frankly, it's nearly impossible to get someone biased out of power like that.

Claiming that "someone like that" doesn't even deserve a spit from a real believer in real life—referring here to Nicole James—is a textbook example of what I’ve already pointed out:
religious exclusivity. That is, the offensive attitude held by members of a specific religion toward those of different faiths or those who aren't religious at all. Once again, I’ll allow for the possibility that some people simply don't see it—perhaps they lack the capacity to judge—this inherent exclusivity and offensiveness that religions direct toward "the others," which inevitably surfaces in its less disguised form when circumstances permit.

What you’re presenting as a "prime example" would honestly just look like a plain old generalization to anyone else.

As for the idea that the admins or the owner of Reddit actually want to drive Catholics and believers off this site—well, I wouldn't go that far.

If that were true, then everything discussed here would be the direct responsibility of a specific moderator, rather than being the fault of the admin or some broad policy from the owner. Besides, who’s to say the owner has even been aware of what's been happening in these threads? It's entirely possible they haven't a clue.

Look, I haven't broken any Reddit rules. I'm not an extremist by any stretch of the imagination. Anyone who's actually read my political posts knows I frequently take aim at the Church. I’m simply fighting back using the very same "weapon" I see used constantly on this site: snide remarks and veiled insults...

By the way, why don't you go ahead and show me a single post of yours on this thread that isn't just pure trolling? Show me one post that actually addresses the topic instead of just feeding your personal vendetta against believers in general. Of course, the admin—who seems to love handing out bans for trolling—hasn't handed you a single one...😉

Morgan Ruiz3 said:To be perfectly honest, I wasn't aware that atheism functioned as a cohesive group with a unified set of norms or a shared moral framework that could be lumped together under one label. That’s where the issue lies here: people tend to single out specific individuals from certain religions—not just Catholics—and then use them as a proxy to condemn every single member of that community as one.

Atheism is definitely a real thing. It isn’t a religion, but if you look online, there’s plenty of debate about what it actually entails. To be fair, it lacks the unified structure you see in organized religions, but there’s still a distinct community of people who call themselves atheists and hold their own set of convictions—just like believers treat their doctrines as sacred.

Roger Hughes14 said:Are you kidding me? 🤦

Every time I bring up atheism, it’s a reaction to atheists insulting believers—in this case, Christians. The thread was titled "Why do Christians feel threatened..." and by its very nature, it's the perfect setup for an anti-theistic attack without much fighting, just pure sentiment.

Instead of admitting that your moderation on Reddit is incredibly unprofessional, you just keep piling on responses that get more absurd with every single one.

And yeah, atheism—that deep alienation from God and His commandments—is to blame "for the greatest crimes of the 20th century and so on..."

Learn how to do your job.

Rest my case.

☕

Man, I remember seeing something pretty similar to this back when Ivkošić wrote his column. Honestly, this feels like nothing more than trolling at this point. If you asked an atheist, they’d tell you that people are the ones primarily responsible for the greatest atrocities throughout history.

jadeseal4 said:According to internationally recognized standards—homosexuals are still considered deviant individuals. That is simply the reality of the matter.

Here we go again. Can someone please explain why I’m getting sanctioned while that old-soul from the first post stays completely untouched...

Another thing... instead of atheists actually developing their own doctrine or belief system regarding the nonexistence of the transcendent—and then looking for proof that nothing exists beyond the physical—they just pick fights with religions. They get incredibly aggressive about it. It’s a massive flaw in atheism...

How...
This is just trolling, plain and simple...

It feels like trolling when I keep bringing up the same theme... especially since I'm the one who started this thread...
Yeah, truth hurts. Christians have slaughtered people like nobody else in history. Hundreds of millions killed and tortured... and they did it because they felt called to. No other group has caused as much evil in this world as Christianity...

Whether it's a downside or not, accusing atheists of all the bloodshed in the 20th century is just trolling. Please don't do that anymore.

I there's this absurd argument popping up in these threads that atheists love to push. Some guy is actually trying to convince me that Adolf Hitler was a devout Catholic... then they flip the script and claim Joseph Ratzinger was a Nazi, while others insist he was a Catholic.

What don't you get? Stop defaming yourself and just do your job properly. I don't care about your private thoughts. Just be a regular user on Reddit and write at your own risk of getting banned, instead of flexing your muscles over us and abusing your super-mod status. Pathetic.

You're far from being a regular user, even further from being a mod, let alone a super-mod. 🤮

Your faith is deeply offensive according to my convictions. What are we supposed to do now?

What what are we supposed to do now? Do you even realize what world you live in? Let me help you out. You live in a world where 90% are religious, and 10% pretend they aren't, despite it being evolutionarily impossible. Atheism is a modern invention. And now what? You going to ban everyone religious on this forum? 🤷

You have the right to think whatever you want, just like everyone else, but if you keep calling people sick, disturbed, or anything similar on the forum, you'll get banned.

Go ahead then, prove to me that:

- infertility,
- asexualism,
- homosexuality,
- pedophilia,
- and all other heresies and deviations

And one more thing:

- the choice to not have children, despite having all the normal conditions for reproduction.

(but that's a topic for another time)

... don't deviate from the norm and the fact that sexual organs exist exclusively for reproduction (if we exclude urination)? 🤷

Everything listed there is an anomaly, unfortunately for them.

And who am I insulting here? 😕

Look, the reason I don't want children is that they might end up looking like someone like you.
I refuse to take that risk.
I refuse to raise a child only to find myself repulsed by them.
That is why I will never have one.

Well, here is a discussion regarding the labeling of Islam as fascism, and the classification of Islamic ideology by myself and several other users here as fascist—a matter for which I even created a specific thread on PZK (which, by the way, no admin has seen fit to address or even acknowledge with a single post), and everything else remains unpunished... why do I ask this? Unless, of course, the intention is to drive away, humiliate, or discriminate against certain users because of their ideological stances...😲

I don't know about all this... just seems like people want to make everything more complicated than it needs to be. There isn't much to say really... turns out some things just are what they are.

It's just historical fact from various sources. If there were trillions of Christians out there, they'd have killed trillions too...

I don't know what to say... just saw the news about the Criminal Code Amendments. It feels like everything is shifting under our feet lately. People are talking on Reddit, but nobody seems to have a clear answer. Just more uncertainty...

No, don't you dare try to give me a ban for this post (Reason: Harassing forum members)...

Clearly, the term "Christianophobia" is the trigger word here, and it's eating at you, but that’s not my concern. If you have an issue with Christianophobia, take it up with Wikipedia. While we're being labeled homophobic left and right, the truth is I don't hate anyone—not even people who are gay. But you don't seem to care about that; instead, certain users just get to feast on us like vultures on a carcass.

Moderator Nicole James, please justify why you hold an admin position if you aren't going to objectively moderate this mess. So far, that isn't happening.

Until next time.
I think Nicole James is doing a perfectly fine job, both as a moderator and an administrator.

I think you’re starting from the wrong premise here, and honestly, what you're asking for seems impossible. You're essentially demanding that a user be punished simply for voicing an opinion, while expecting the moderators to shield a group—one that has a documented history of criminal activity—from any kind of criticism. If that's the case, then I suppose what you're actually looking for is an echo chamber. That kind of forced consensus only really happens on sites like Reddit. www.catholics.org I guess there isn't much more to say on that. I don't have much to say about that specific site, I suppose. It seems like just another corner of the internet dedicated to certain regional perspectives. Maybe it holds some interest for people looking for that particular viewpoint, but I can't say I find myself drawn to it. But that isn't the case here on Reddit, because this is an open forum where no specific religion is favored—nor is any group discriminated against, for that matter. All the best.

I beg your pardon.
Homosexuality still remains on the World Health Organization's list of pathologies, though strictly in instances where an individual seeks to change, yet it certainly persists on the list of deviations subject to clinical treatment.

By claiming Nicole James is an excellent moderator, you’ve shown your true colors. It's just sensationalist anti-theistic rhetoric designed to disrespect the majority of your fellow citizens and their faith.
To me, it's a blatant lack of culture and basic manners.
Trying to drive us believers back to our own niche forums is just another sign of a dictatorial personality. In your view, we shouldn't stick our heads out of our churches or specific religious boards to step into "liberated" spaces—real and virtual—like this one. On a site like this, the rules should basically shuffle on and fire at will regardless of religion, letting whoever survives.

But when those same believers react appropriately, they get carded. Your super-moderator Nicole James hands out warnings and bans the second someone mentions suffering from Christianophobia. (Christianophobia is just as prevalent as homophobia, yet the term homophobia is used freely against anyone who doesn't fit the anti-clerical crowd). Through your posts, you show a certain amount of that very phobia yourself, and from what I see, you're coughing too. You aren't making any effort toward tolerance; you're just sticking to your angry little maxims.
