redbear12 I can't even begin to tell you how much this gets under my skin—honestly, where do I even start? It’s like, do people just not listen anymore? Or maybe they just don't care? Because at this point, I'm starting to think it's the latter. It's frustrating, plain and simple. You try to make a point, you lay it all out there, and then... nothing. Just silence or, worse, complete misunderstanding. Why is that? Is it just me, or is everyone getting more stubborn by the day? It feels like we're all just shouting into a void sometimes, and frankly, it's exhausting. I mean, seriously, how much more of this am I supposed to take before it's just ridiculous? It really makes you wonder what happened to actually having a conversation. Anyway, I'm just venting now—sorry, I know, I know—but someone had to say it.
Wait, I don't get it. Am I supposed to just slide into Amanda Robinson4's DMs right now and ask which album they want to suggest, just so they can write a whole new post here on this thread??? 😕🤔
It looks like you’re gonna need it—even if nobody actually laid out a rule saying so.
Look, we really ought to avoid making the mistake of voting for the person making the suggestion instead of actually voting on the album itself. Seriously, why would we even go there? 🤷
EDIT: Just realized Amanda Robinson4 mentioned last week that we should be sending those over to him.

Yesterday, actually last week 😁 And hey, redbear12, if you drop your name here, you aren't anonymous anymore! That totally ruins the whole point of an anonymous poll or just having people toss out suggestions without being tied to them...

It’s just that the suggestions are getting even more obvious again—kind of less
it's hard to change someone's taste 😁

@quietbison86, but hey, that’s kind of the whole point... sometimes you just mess up! 🙂 Honestly, guessing and speculating about who suggested what is totally fair game here 😉

Even if there were a million people here, Baribb-ov would still be recognized for this suggestion. 😁

Doing better than last week. I’ve got three, maybe even four albums on my mind that could win my vote. Just wait until the voting wraps up before you start telling me who everyone picked, okay?
I remember this Burnside record (didn't pick it myself) from back when I bought the CD—it was one of those digipaks. Miles is a huge plus, though I probably wouldn't pick that specific album over something else, but it's fine. The Kinks are interesting too... As for this other one, I need a few more tracks before I can really decide...
We'll see...
I'm guessing those two forum members might be the ones behind the Burnside entry, but hey, we'll find out once the polls close....

Barib just won't quit!!
It’s not him this time, but I think I have a pretty good idea who it actually is.

Arthur Brown6 said:Dennis Hall41, you still stuck in 1971? If not, give this a listen—might be up your alley: Tia Blake.
Man, how did you nail that I'd dig it? 😁 I gave it a quick spin and it’s solid, but there’s probably a reason she didn't release anything else after. She sings and plays beautifully—total talent—but I've heard dozens of acts like this. Honestly? I wouldn't put this in my top 20 singer-songwriter albums of that legendary era. I mean, I'll listen to whatever God commands, obviously, but this kind of music is so much in my DNA that I can pretty much make a call after just one listen.
Yeah, I'm still living in 1971—probably three more times this year, if not ten times that. Not only was it a massive year for rock in general, but it was easily the peak season for pure songwriting. Beyond the few already mentioned, my mental "hall of fame" would also include Bryter Layter, Tupelo Honey, John Prine, Cat Stevens, American Pia, Hunky Dory, Tapestry, If I Could Only Remember My Name, Songs of Love and Hate, Mud Slide Slim and the Blue Horizon, Nilsson Schmilsson, and RAM...

It isn't him—you can tell his work immediately. But honestly, between their specific taste, fonts, and general style, I've even started noticing what time of day certain guys tend to drop their suggestions. Lisa Davis46, the urologist, Barib, and Jessica Morris6 are all regulars in my book—and I'm pretty sure I nailed who Amanda Robinson4 was, too.

Not that ševa is any better😁—if someone tried to camouflage themselves this skillfully during a war, they'd probably get shot in five minutes because they're just too obvious.
