The whole album.
Check out this playlist on YouTube—really solid vibes in here.

I'm not even making a suggestion here—just wondering how this modern classic would hold up.

I’m popping back in after two weeks just to drop this gem—it's almost spring out there, and honestly, the vibe is just right. 🙂

Sam Lee & Friends - The Fade in Time (2015)

What does modern British folk sound like? Well, certainly one way, but this specific sound happens to be among my absolute favorites.

Beauty is subjective, after all:

Juj, Fanfare 😍

Gerald Jackson48, this video isn't doing it for you. You've gotta head over to YouTube. 🙂

I know, the uploader put a limit on it. I bet he's just some kind of YouTube elitist.

Mazzy Star - So Tonight That I Might See (1993)

A dream pop masterpiece—one where, in my estimation, the late David Roback and Hope Sandoval hit their absolute creative stride together. I’ve never been much for over-explaining why certain records resonate, but this one fits perfectly into two distinct moods. In the winter: a dark room, feet propped up near the radiator, watching snowflakes drift under the streetlights while holding a whiskey in one hand and a cigarette in the other. In the summer: feet resting on the balcony railing, a cigarette in hand, a cold beer sitting nearby, just staring up at the stars...

Two examples:

Uh uh........

Skinny Puppy & Mazzy Star—two absolute extremes, yet both pull at me in their own unique ways.

I remember the first time I heard Smothered Hope back in 1987 while hanging out near Apple Inc.... I actually had to bolt outside onto the terrace just to escape the sheer intensity of it.
Back then, in my younger years, that kind of sound just didn't sit right with me at all.

Assimilate is the kind of music that could literally cut through steel, so I’m really hoping this album lives up to those sharp expectations of mine. 😁

On the other hand, Mazzy Star - So Tonight That I Might See is such an absolute gem of an album that it cuts deep too, but purely through pure bliss. 😁

Drums... just wow.

That’s really the heart of the sound for this post-punk masterpiece from Pittsburgh's finest... though history tends to remember them for a completely different musical profile altogether.

It's the way everything was captured—the production—that truly sets this record apart from so many of its contemporaries.

An album without any singles. It’s a miracle, really.

Atmospheric. So incredibly atmospheric. And dark.

Mods, if I could make one quick request—I just noticed I missed the word "that" in the proposed album title. If possible, could we update the poll to show the full title: So Tonight That I Might See? Everything else looks spot on.

Alright, I fixed it. 🙂 I’ll probably drop a new poll soon too.

I really love that album—it definitely speaks to me.
I guess I'm just crossing my fingers that it actually takes off...

......oh man.....even Richard Hawley......and his absolute masterpiece of an album.......🎉🎉🎉

Lisa Davis46 said:There it is—she finally fixed it. 🙂 Another poll is headed our way soon.

I really love this album—it definitely speaks my language.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this actually pulls through...

Thanks.😘
Honestly, I don't really care which album ends up winning. I only just discovered this band today because of The Quarter Proposal, and I have to say—I’m genuinely thrilled to have stumbled upon something new.

It’s finally here! Dig in, everyone—grab whatever you're craving and pick your favorites...

What a gentleman. 🙏

I suggested this one because it was my introduction to him—the very first album I ever heard. Specifically, it was when "The Atlantic Ocean" came on; a tear actually rolled down my cheek—to borrow a phrase from 😁—the moment that chorus hit. From that point on, we've had this deep, intense emotional connection.

I’ll start by giving props to Brooklyn and Mazzy Star 🙂

Aside from those two mentioned above and this one suggestion—I don't actually recognize any other albums on this list—so it should be quite an interesting experience discovering these new sounds.

I just went down a rabbit hole listening to Dracula by Himiko, and honestly? I’m a little lost on what I was actually expecting, so now I'm just sitting here feeling pretty confused. That said, you can never really go wrong with a vampire track, so I figured I'd give her a shoutout. 😁

She actually has that ‘Flying Beagle’ album out too, so you really never know what to expect. 😳
