Look, seriously, stop locking threads without actually solving anything. I already started a discussion about this on another thread that got shut down, where I pointed out how one specific user keeps trolling me by insisting I’m just a clone:

I sent a private message to Nice, I used the report button—nothing. Absolutely NOTHING happens.

And now, seeing that this kind of trolling actually gets away with it, the same idiot is back at it again, attacking me with those same "clone" accusations:

Is this actually allowed?

Honestly, the "On the Edge of Science" thread has become a total disaster zone because one guy has turned his backyard into a complete nebula of nonsense. At this point, nothing makes sense anymore. It would be way easier to just lock everything down and wipe the last six months of posts entirely. He’s taken the Titanic thread and turned it into some weird playground for his delusions about the ocean and water levels. Then there’s the Pyramids thread, which he’s morphed into this bizarre conspiracy theory about how llamas and pufferfish were used for construction. He even dropped those beautiful Paul McCartney YouTube clips into a thread where nobody knows why he even started it in the first place! And don't even get me started on that thread about cannibalism—that is the absolute rock bottom for this forum and common sense alike.
There isn't a single topic left that hasn't been hijacked by his constant, messy rambling.

This "gentleman" is still out there running rampant with his fabrications and blatant lies.
It’s pretty clear that flagging his posts or sending messages to the moderators isn't doing a damn thing to stop him.
Look, I have zero issues with him putting my statements in his signature; I stand by everything I’ve written.
If he can't grasp what was actually said, that's his own intellectual failing, not mine.
But since he’s so keen on using my words in his signature, he should at least have the decency to quote them accurately instead of twisting them and adding his own little flourishes.
What he posted wasn't a quote—it was pure fiction.
Is it really too much to ask for someone to possess the basic competence required to transcribe a few words without injecting their own nonsense?!
If he’s incapable of that, then frankly, he shouldn't be allowed on the internet without adult supervision.

Roger Cooper91 said:And now, the same idiot all over again. Seeing how much he’s getting away with by trolling like that, I find myself getting worked up all over again about those clones:

I suppose I should probably weigh in on this, though I’m not entirely sure if my perspective carries much weight here. It seems to me that we might be overcomplicating things by looking at the situation through such a narrow lens. If you ask me, there’s a certain nuance being missed—a bit of a gap between what’s actually happening on the ground and how we're choosing to interpret it. Perhaps it’s just my way of seeing things, but I can't help but feel that if we took a step back, the whole mess would look a little less daunting. It’s easy to get caught up in the immediate friction, but maybe there’s a more systemic issue at play that we haven't quite articulated yet. I guess what I'm trying to say is that we shouldn't jump to conclusions quite so hastily. We need to consider the broader context before we decide we have all the answers. Or, at least, that's my somewhat cautious take on it.

Is that actually allowed?

I suppose I should probably look for an answer to this. I'm here. 🙂

If you want to get a handle on the specific rules, I’d suggest taking a look at the individual subforum guidelines. You’ll likely find the answers to just about everything you're wondering about there. Honestly, I’m a little surprised you haven't checked them out yet. 🙂

By the way, I was wondering—is that actually allowed? Calling people names or labeling them as idiots on these forums is just poor form, isn't it? I mean, honestly, there’s really no reason to resort to insults or calling someone a moron. It doesn't actually win you any points in an argument; if anything, it usually just makes the whole discussion fall apart. I guess we could all try to be a bit more civil, even when we strongly disagree with someone's take. It seems like a much more productive way to handle things, don't you think? How about you? What’s your take on all this?
If I recall correctly, that should be worth about 45 points. 😁

-> breaking US laws (practicing medicine without a license)
-> violating generally accepted civilized norms (healthcare is both a civilized and a CONSTITUTIONAL norm and right)
-> harassment based on any grounds whatsoever (race, nationality, religion, age, gender...) - (calling people "scavengers," "poisoners," "idiots," "mercenaries," or things like that)
-> swearing, flaming, or spamming (repeating the same or similar posts) - just as an example: you've already copied this exact same post three times about "talking to a nurse who worked for 35 years and was supposedly 'shocked' for all 35 of them," or constantly reposting those five identical texts about cancer treatment methods... which have been proven unscientific.
-> advertising (anything not approved by the Marketing Forum) - specifically pages that directly promote selling books and magazines on certain topics, or promote all sorts of pseudo-experts who make a living off it
-> chatted outside of the designated chat threads -(do I even need to list out sets of posts by topic?)
-> trolling (writing mocking, offensive messages just to intentionally annoy other participants, provoke arguments, and disrupt the flow of discussion) - let's just start with this very post right here
-> going off-topic - you only have to look at the thread about cancer treatment where, under the guise of healing, they exclusively promote raw veganism, without any actual evidence of its success.
-> harassing other users (commenting on someone else's posts while pretending to use an "ignore" list)
-> SHOUTING (USING CAPS LOCK) - it's just as bad as coloring parts of the text in different colors.
-> playing dumb - which includes everything mentioned above, plus just ignoring posts entirely.

Anyway, that's what happens when people start pointing fingers....

And this is supposed to be a thread where we talk about other stuff altogether....☕

Brenda Gonzalez12, honestly, you’re getting pretty old with this whole obsession with Elizabeth Jackson and Bonecrusher... like, can we move on already? You’re actually the one breaking all the rules here. We all saw how you were talking down to people in that cancer treatment thread—especially toward Elizabeth Jackson. Calling people morons, idiots, weaklings, losers... just straight-up trash. And then there was that disgusting thing you said to fadedgull42 about her being ready for you... seriously, have you no shame? You only show up to these threads to pick fights and argue, making you the definition of off-topic. I’ve never seen anyone act as toxic as you on this forum. It’s no wonder they had to shut down that cancer treatment discussion because of your outbursts. No wonder everyone just ignores you...

If we're talking about breaking rules, you're actually the one leading the pack. We all saw how rudely you treated people in that cancer treatment thread, especially Elizabeth Jackson. Calling people morons, idiots, weaklings, jerks, and losers? And then there was that comment to fadedgull42 about her being ready for you... aren't you embarrassed to even speak? You only show up to these threads to pick fights and bicker, making you the definition of off-topic. I have never seen such blatant insults on this forum before; in fact, that whole cancer treatment thread had to be shut down specifically because of your behavior. It’s no wonder everyone just ignores you.

From what I recall, you were the one preaching about the "ignore" button too, but since you love lying and exaggerating so much, I guess you don't follow your own advice either.

Come on, please, just give me a link showing where I ever said that about fadedgull42? I'm genuinely curious. 🙂
Look, if you're so worked up over her, why not send her a private message or meet her in a chat room? Start a new thread on the US, LJES, or ŽuD boards. Just be a man for once—don't be such a coward and a pathetic little thing... you don't need all this nonsense. Show me where I actually wrote what you're accusing me of, you troll. 🤔

Or should I start filing formal reports? Because just like fadedgull42, you seem to love putting nasty words and weird fantasies into other people's mouths. Maybe I should, huh?

For all the other rules, just check the specific subforum guidelines and you'll find everything you need to know. Honestly, I’m surprised you haven't done that yet. 🙂

By the way, is it actually allowed to insult other users and call them an idiot like you're doing right now?
As far as I know, that's a 45-point penalty. 😁

Elizabeth Jackson, thanks a ton for the link.

Nice, I don't really care about getting a red card. I was pushed to this because this person keeps relentlessly calling me a clone. I've reported it through every possible channel—clicking the report button, starting a thread right here—and absolutely NOBODY has reacted. It's a good thing I only used the word "idiot," and if there's any blame to be assigned, it goes to the (non-existent) moderation team that lets people like this run wild.

And thanks to that link Elizabeth "kindly" provided, it clearly states that the following is prohibited:

11. Trolling (posting sarcastic, insulting messages intended to annoy other participants, provoke arguments, or disrupt the flow of discussion)
12. Off-topic posting

Everything I've been trying to report falls squarely into those categories.

Honestly, you’re the one breaking every rule in the book—we all saw how you were verbally trashing people in the cancer treatment thread, especially Elizabeth Jackson. Calling people morons, idiots, wimps, losers... it was gross. And you actually sent Naja Naja some incredibly inappropriate, disgusting messages. Don't you feel even a little bit embarrassed? You only show up to these threads to pick fights and troll. You're the definition of off-topic, and I've never seen anyone be as toxic as you on this forum. That's literally why they had to shut down the cancer treatment thread—because of your mouth. No wonder everyone just ignores you.

The thing is, whatever he said to me got wiped, so now he’s going to play dumb and act like I’m making stuff up. But I am one hundred percent certain he remembers. If he can remember some random post from two years ago about water sounds in a radiator from some obscure thread, he definitely remembers this. I'm just pissed I didn't grab a screenshot.
Basically, Nice deleted it, along with a massive chunk of other posts—probably like seven pages worth—but she didn't give him a single warning, let alone a permanent ban which he absolutely earned. It’s painfully obvious she’s protecting him. I don't know what their private deal is, but he clearly has her in his corner.

I'm dying to know: if someone talked to her like that, would she actually let them get away with it?

Haha, it’s honestly hilarious watching some people juggle a few different profiles! They’ll pop in to lurk for a bit, then suddenly jump back in to comment from one account, then switch over to another like they're playing a game of musical chairs. It's such a funny little dance! 😵😵

Wait, is this one of those controversial posts? Let me know if I'm stepping into a debate here!
Sporni post 1: Wait, hold on! You’re seriously accusing me of calling four of our fellow forum members murderers? That is such a wild stretch!
Post nisi dala, link nisi dala, tekst nisi pokazala.. 👎

Controversial Post 2: Wait, hold on a second! You're actually accusing me of calling you a murderer? That is definitely not what happened!
Post nisi dala, link nisi dala, tekst nisi pokazala.. 👎

Disputed Post 3: So, you’re actually accusing me of saying that snacking on sardines and washing them down with milk is what raw vegans choose? Oh my gosh, come on! That is such a wild reach! I definitely didn't say that, though I love how much energy you're putting into misinterpreting me. Honestly, if I were going to make a joke like that, I'd probably be a little more subtle about it!
Post nisi dala, link nisi dala, tekst nisi pokazala.. 👎

And honestly, this one too—where you're pointing fingers at someone for something that wasn't even written in the first place!👎 Seriously, fadedgull42, how much longer are you going to keep this up? 🙂

Honestly, it feels like you’re just spinning tales and playing games at this point. You start picking fights because you don't have any actual facts or logic to back you up once someone points out the obvious: raw food and veganism aren't some magic cure-all for cancer—especially when there isn't a shred of clinical evidence to prove it! Plus, we actually have a specific thread dedicated to discussing raw diets, yet here you are, turning it into a personal attack. It's pure ad hominem. And don't even get me started on stormyrider28. Looking at their history, they've posted 150 times, and somehow 80 of those are nothing but off-topic nonsense and personal insults. It really makes me wonder who's pulling the strings behind that account and what their actual goal is. I can tell you one thing, though: it definitely isn't to promote helpful discussions about alternative medicine!

That’s exactly why we need a neutral moderator stepping in here—someone who can jump in and address these kinds of outbursts regardless of what the topic actually is. It shouldn't be about the subject matter at all; it should just be about making sure everyone is playing by the rules of the forum and sticking to the guidelines. If we keep the behavior in check, I truly believe the discussions will naturally settle into their own lanes based on whatever people are actually interested in!

@bluemason3/">@@bluemason3 Hahaha! You’re going to cook up such a massive mess that we’ll end up with 3,500 posts a day just to keep up with all the moderation! 😁 😁

Look, I'm not suggesting her moderation is biased because of that. That's a stretch.

Besides, half the admin team is practically family anyway—not that there's blatant favoritism going on with the ŽuD crew or that whole Anderlonov clan, but I think people are overthinking it.

And so what? No one picks their relatives, and the forum is open to everyone. 👍

bluemason3 said:Well, he's her father-in-law, old news. How did you not know? 🤔

Even Siamese twins would be too much.

Check out the cancer treatment thread over in the Alternative Medicine section—it was locked recently. You'll see he was actually the one who started pointing fingers at us, claiming we were responsible for his neighbor's death just because she read this forum and was naive enough to trust us instead of getting life-saving chemo. His post was the FIRST one, so yeah, he's the one who kicked this off. Of course, he’ll try to play dumb and say he didn't explicitly name anyone, but if that were true, why didn't he reach out to those of us replying to him to clarify he wasn't talking about us?

When I called out a few specific forum members by name, I was just responding to his claim that there aren't really any "alternative" people, but that it's some sort of broad, vague concept. Sure it is, which is exactly why I pointed out he wasn't addressing "all possible alternative enthusiasts," but specifically us right here on this forum, so I just listed the first few names that popped into my head. But typical—he latches onto some tiny, irrelevant detail and keeps harping on it, even though the context makes it crystal clear. He's just playing the victim.

He's accusing us of suggesting she eat certain ways, which is a total lie. He actually admitted later that she was eating milk, fish, and grains. He looked genuinely shocked when I told him that isn't even part of what we recommend. It's straight-up slander; the guy clearly didn't do any homework before he started typing.

The funniest part? That user milivanily—or is it milyvanili? Whatever—the one pretending to have metastatic breast cancer, ended up recommending that exact same diet later on! The very thing he was blaming us for in the beginning! Can you believe that?

Now he's shamelessly lying about not insulting me, but whatever, let him live with his conscience. 😉

That topic has been circling for years. There wasn't a single starting point; it just goes in loops.

I highly doubt he meant that literally. It was probably just a figure of speech or a comparison, but people in the alternative medicine crowd tend to drift into fantasy quite often. 👍
Anyway, I'm not about to go digging through those pseudo-scientific ramblings just to fact-check him right now. 🤷

Roger Cooper91 said:Elizabeth Jackson, thanks so much for the link.

Don't mention it. 🙂
As you can probably see for yourself, it seems the forum rules don't actually specify any particular penalty for merely suspecting someone might be a clone. 🤷
If you aren't a clone, then there shouldn't really be an issue at all.

And regarding what I mentioned about those 45 points—I wasn't trying to be malicious; I just wanted to point out that the real crisis on this subforum is the blatant insults, rather than the mere suspicion of someone being a bot. Usually, even with the most lenient moderators, a simple insult would earn you a strike if nothing else, but in the specific case gnu and Naja Naja are discussing, there wasn't even a warning. Nothing.
And yet, we had the most egregious, constant verbal abuse day in and day out from that particular user.
Everything was wiped away as if it never happened. Practically everyone posting in the alternative section reacted and sharply condemned such uncivilized behavior, only to find themselves targeted by insults too. Personally, I reported several of the worst posts to Dymi (the supermoderator) and Nica, promptly and with links included—but there was virtually no response whatsoever!
Why is that?
How is that even possible?

By the way, for those who don't know or are pretending not to, here is just a small sample of those insults, yet not once did monty-zg receive even a yellow card...🤦
Even though they've all been deleted, they are clearly visible here.
