And I actually wasn't aware of that medium-hard strategy.

Regarding Seba, this was what came through over the team radio: "so far the options are starting to show degradation in other cars as well".
So, it looks like he was dealing with those issues too.

That clears things up quite a bit. 👍

What’s going on here? Is nobody going to comment on FP? 🤷
I honestly think it’s time we bring out the TBF-ov theory. When Red Bull looks this dominant during the FP sessions, it usually means they’re about to completely blow it during qualifying and the race!

I’m really hoping for another broken alternator on Vettel's car and maybe Hamilton having to pull out because of that issue Button had last race... 😁
Then, of course, an Alonso win.

Who's winning? Red Bull looks good.🤷
To me, it’s still our little slice of blue heaven...😁

FP1 - Vettel was the fastest.
FP2 - Vettel was the fastest.

Alright, alright. 😲
FP sessions feel way more intense this season, especially lately. There’s still a ton of testing going on, and some teams are playing it incredibly close to the chest, being super calculated about what they reveal.
I'm not saying tomorrow's qualifying is just going to be a carbon copy of today's FP sessions. What I am saying is that these practice runs actually mean something now. They’re a much more reliable indicator of true pace than they used to be.
I'm not a fan of how things are looking today (as Jerry Rogers6 put it).

No rain just yet... we're hearing reports of a wet morning and afternoon ahead, but things should stay dry until qualifying and the race get underway.

Don't go making a fool of yourselves—I'm telling you now, the truth is going to hit you like a freight train once everything settles down 🙂

Red Bull was absolutely tragic today, and that’s just the plain, unvarnished truth
Anyone who can't see that clearly is just clueless ☕

Why would we be shocked?🤷
I’ve never seen a single Red Bull fan on this forum act surprised when they see them at the front. To us, it’s just business as usual. We're used to it.😁

It’s actually weird seeing them in second place.🤷

Alright, F1 "experts"—let's hear it. Give me your predictions for tomorrow's pole position?!?!?!?... I've got a long night ahead of me, and honestly, I'm not sure if I'll have the headspace to put together a decent analysis for my bets.
I’m expecting a strong showing from Vettel during the race, but as for pole... I'm undecided. I haven't really had the luxury of sitting down to crunch the numbers today or yesterday.
My gut says Hamilton takes pole, but then something goes sideways during the race... wouldn't surprise me, seeing how many drivers tend to struggle after a solid previous performance. And remember, Vettel wasn't actually retired last time—he was just sitting in 22nd because the team told him to pull the car in.
Part degradation is going to be a massive factor here, and frankly, people aren't paying enough attention to it... just look at the results for Button and Vettel at Spa compared to what happened at Monza ?!??!?
A coincidence?!??!?!?!?
It’s going to be a long night.................... setting my alarm for 1:40 PM. I want predictions, but please—only from the serious enthusiasts.

Hopefully McLaren keeps this winning streak alive. Honestly, seeing Red Bull pull off a double podium feels way better than one guy winning while his teammate just fails to finish.

I have an inside tip that Kovalainen is taking pole.

They gave you the wrong info
It's Karthikeyan on pole, while Kovalainen takes the win

It seems quite likely that this race will serve to separate two or three drivers who genuinely possess title aspirations from the rest of the pack. To put it another way, if someone slips up tomorrow, catching back up to the leaders will be an uphill battle. Given how poorly Lotus performed yesterday, I find myself worrying that Kamui might be at risk, though truth be told, everyone at the top of the standings finds themselves in a precarious spot if they walk away without points tomorrow. Granted, Alonso has more breathing room—even if he fails to score, he remains in contention—but even for him, a result like that wouldn't be ideal. After all, one has to wonder how many races are left where the Ferrari is actually capable of winning... 🤷

It is going to be dramatic. 🙏

It’s just pure chaos—first the heavy hitters take the points, then those bikes come flying in, and now we’ve got Alonso right in the thick of it.
