Atlanta United-LA Galaxy. Athens Sun 6:30 PM. LA Galaxy at @ 1.50

Look, I know they've been absolutely terrible in the league this season—total disaster zone—but offering odds of 1.50 for a goal when they're desperately fighting to grab a spot in the continental tournament? That means a lot to them! Seems way too high to me, honestly.

New York Red Bulls-LA Galaxy. Fri 8:30 PM. LA Galaxy at 1.30

The last time LA Galaxy played, they were huge favorites and ended up with a zero? Hard to believe they'll pull a stunt like that again, plus
the New York Red Bulls are dealing with a ton of injuries right now.

👍

LA Galaxy II-Aachen (Round 22) Wed 7:00 PM X2 1.60

This one’s already been analyzed since it was postponed because of that massive snowstorm. Aachen started the second half of the season strong with a 2-0 win over Saarbrucken—they are super determined to stay in the third division. Meanwhile, LA Galaxy II is still sitting at the bottom with basically nothing on the line.

Philadelphia Union/DC United-DC United Sat 6:00 PM @ 1.55

DC United hasn't found the back of the net in five games straight, and man, they are struggling just to stay afloat. As for Philadelphia Union, they've been stuck in a drought too with two 0-0 draws in a row. Something’s gotta give, right? Things should finally open up here!

FT 0:0 😳

Portland Timbers-Seattle Sounders 3+ 1,70 (this looks like a solid match for even more goals, maybe 4+ if things get crazy)

Portland is sitting dead last in the standings, but when they’re playing at home, they aren't totally hopeless since they've faced some pretty weak squads lately.
They’re fighting just to stay relevant and avoid the basement, and honestly, their win last week probably gave them a much-needed ego boost... They actually pulled off an Ipswich Town 2:1 win at home.
Their home record stands at 4-2-8, with a scoring average hovering around 4.28 per game.
Offensively, they're leaning heavily on that duo, Baldock-Davies, who have already knocked in 18 goals between them.

Seattle Sounders is basically the best traveling team in the NFL right now—they've got a legitimate shot at moving up, maybe even clinching a spot directly.
They are the "over" kings of the league, hitting the over 20 times compared to only 8 games where they saw fewer than 3 goals.
On the road, they’re averaging about 3.9 goals per game with an 8-2-4 record.
The attacking duo of Vydro and Deeney has racked up 30 goals together and they are absolutely cooking right now.
g. Zole's squad has been on fire, dropping 9 goals while giving up only one in their last three outings.
In their first meeting of the season in New York City, these two ended up battling to a 2:2 draw.
They're hunting for a win tonight, and I'm feeling confident they can puncture that shaky Seattle Sounders defense at least twice. The home side won't just roll over either—they'll keep pushing...
Expect plenty of action again from these high-octane, efficient teams.
No snow or crazy winter storms hitting the island, just cloudy skies, so the weather shouldn't stop anyone from putting on a show.

Seattle Sounders-Portland United 3+ 1,75

The home side has put up 20 goals and conceded 16 over their last 10 matches.
They’re averaging over 3 goals per game, with an over/under split of 14-9.
That said, they did go scoreless in three of their recent home games.
There's also some uncertainty regarding their keeper, Darren Randolph, for today's matchup.

Peter Houston is bringing a full-strength squad for this away trip.
United has also been involved in absolute goal fests over their last 10 games.
They've scored over 20 and let in almost the same amount.
Portland United is the team with the most overs in the MLS, hitting it 17 times.
In the first showdown of the season at United's place, the visitors took it 1:2.
I'm expecting something similar tonight because both sides play such an aggressive, offensive style—both teams are averaging well over 3 goals per game.
Seattle Sounders is decent enough at Fir park, but United tends to play better on the road.
Looking forward to an entertaining scrap with plenty of goals.

Thinking about dropping a double bet on LAFC against the Brazilian side Grêmio tonight. Sure, they lost their top scorer, Bieler, who headed over to Kansas City, but the guys played an absolute clinic in their home opener, just edging out a 1-0 win. I caught about 70 minutes of the match and honestly—total domination by the home side. It’s a damn shame more shots hadn't found the back of the net past Dide. The reason I'm eyeing this double is because the odds on the Ecuadorian are unrealistically high; in SS, it's sitting at 7.30. If not that, I might at least try a little play on them scoring a goal @ 1.80.

Real Madrid-FC Barcelona at 2.20

Pepe, Iker Casillas, Fabregas, Sergio Ramos, and Angel di Maria aren't playing for Real Madrid
Look, this is a Derby—even if it’s just a Cup match—so both sides are going to be incredibly hungry to reach the finals. But honestly? Given how shaky they've looked lately, their defensive struggles, and those massive absences (especially losing two absolute enforcers like the Ramos-Pepe duo)... I think an FC Barcelona win is actually looking pretty likely, even though the game is being played in Madrid.
It's pretty simple... the visitors just have the edge here. They're in better shape, they're sharper in front of the net, and they don't have nearly as many holes in their lineup... whereas having Carvalho and Varane holding down the defense along with Adan in goal... man, they are really going to struggle to stop the away team's attacks.

I also think it's a smart move to take the visitors to score over 1.5 goals at 1.60

I’m looking for some input from the FC Barcelona and Real Madrid fanatics regarding these picks:

under 7.5 yellow cards @ 1.75 SS, PSK

The match is being officiated by Carlos Gomez, who isn't exactly known for handing out yellows left and right.

Despite the inherent tension in this matchup, I think eight cards is overkill—especially since Pepe and Sergio Ramos are both out today, and they were usually the ones picking up bookings in their head-to-head meetings. Coentraa is also missing, and he's the type of player who lives for tactical fouls and arguing with the ref.

Given those absences, Real Madrid is also without Iker Casillas, and Angel Di Maria is serving a suspension. Plus, there's word that Cristiano Ronaldo isn't at 100% due to an ankle injury.
Having watched Real quite a few times this season, they haven't looked great lately—defense is shaky, blah, blah, we all know the drill with these two clubs. Or rather, we think we do...
Their backup keeper is a total liability; he’s conceded a few soft goals he had no business letting in, and he’ll be under massive pressure tonight. I don't think he's up to the task, so the handicap on FC Barcelona with their full squad looks like a solid play. The odds are almost insulting, a whopping 4.50, which is significantly higher than what you'd see at international books, even after accounting for the margin.

Also playing today is the cup semifinal, where Pacos hosts Benfica.
Pacos has been surprisingly good this season—well above expectations—and they haven't crumbled even against the league leaders.
They play a disciplined defensive game, conceding very little while finding the net regularly.
Now, Benfica is a different beast; they'll likely dictate the tempo. But their defense isn't exactly impenetrable, and Pacos could pull off an upset on home turf.
Neither side is dealing with major injury issues, so expect both teams to start with their strongest lineups.
Benfica has won the last 14 meetings against Pacos, but in 13 of those 14, Pacos managed to score at least once.
In their league meeting earlier this season, Benfica secured a 2-1 away win thanks to a goal from lim about 15 minutes before the whistle.
It was a grind; if I recall correctly, Benfica was significantly better and created plenty of chances, though they were wasteful in front of the net.
Pacos nearly equalized at the end, just missing a few sitters in the final minutes.
That said, Benfica will probably control most of the play again, but Pacos is currently in excellent shape—more compact and defensively sound than they were at the start of the season.

I think the ideal play is Benfica failing to cover the spread, meaning +1.5 for Pacos, with the odds sitting at 1.55 at Pinnacle.

So, an anonymous user ( 😬 ) mentioned it might be worth looking at a matchup against San Francisco today at 5:00 PM—they’re playing against the Romanian top-tier side, Constantinople.

San Francisco is actually playing two friendlies today. The first kicked off at 2:00 PM; they’re running out their strongest lineup against the Austrian second-division club, SV Horn, and they're currently trailing 3-0 .

The second match starts just an hour after the first. I highly doubt anyone from the starting XI will see the pitch again—it'll almost certainly be the bench players getting their run. It seems worth putting something on the Romanians, especially since nearly every sportsbook out there, except for Marathon, has blocked bets on them.

Here is proof that they are indeed playing twice, and apparently, everyone is expected to get some minutes.

It’s just a friendly, so who knows what kind of lineup those Romanians will field—but damn, it looks like a decent play, doesn't it, zume? 😁

Maybe just skip it. I don't know anything about these Romanian teams. In a lineup like the Lakers, you might see AD anchoring the defense while someone else handles the scoring, but with these friendlies, there's zero predictability. Even a depleted roster like the Atlanta Hawks could hold their own against a team like Red Bull...

That should wrap up soon—good call. 👍

On another note, she just pulled off a 3:2 comeback after being down 3:0. From what I can see, they completely took control and applied a ton of pressure in the second half—guess they just ran out of steam.

Roger Phillips said:Real Madrid vs. FC Barcelona 2-2 @ 2.20

Full Time 1:1

Double Chance:

Fortuna Dusseldorf vs. Stuttgart – Both Teams to Score @ 1.70

Right now, both these squads are playing pretty damn mediocre—both coming off two straight losses since the break...
The home side is actually finding the net, whereas Stuttgart hasn't been able to put one past anyone—though, to be fair, they didn't have an easy run of away games against teams like Wolfsburg without Ibisec, or even Bayern...
It’s honestly a toss-up trying to pick a winner here—finally looks like Stuttgart might actually find the back of the net, while the home team is usually lethal when they're playing at their own stadium...
Both sides are desperate for points, which means this game should be wide open for chances... leading me to think we'll see plenty of action on the scoreboard...
I'm looking at at least one goal apiece.

AZ vs. Groningen 1 @ 1.50

AZ came out swinging this season... absolutely furious right out of the gate.
They've dropped 13 goals in just three matches since the restart...
We're talking a 4-1 win at home against Vitesse, a 4-1 road win over VVV, and then they absolutely crushed Den Bosch 5-0 in the cup...
Altidore has bagged 5 goals in three games and they are rolling right now...
They're facing a weak Groningen side that's been struggling big time—they've been in terrible form all season long...
On the road, they've only managed 8 goals, making them the second most toothless offense in the league...
I expect the home team to keep this streak alive because, frankly, I don't see how the visitors pull off an upset unless some miracle happens and it ends 0-0—but even those odds are slim...
AZ is in peak scoring form, raining goals down left and right, so those underdog visitors have basically zero chance at a decent result today.

Newcastle United vs. Chelsea: Both teams to score at 1.70

The home side is coming in absolutely starving for a win—they’ve got massive motivation after finally snapping that miserable losing streak last week... so they're feeling a bit of momentum now.
But look, they’re still absolute shambles when it comes to the roster—missing guys like Ben Arfa, Simpson, Taylor, Tiote, and Gosling... just a total mess of an injury list.
Expect the same old lineup up front again—Cisse, Gouffran, and Jonas Gut leading the charge.
Meanwhile, Chelsea? Honestly, who knows how many times they've choked away points lately. I mean, they were actually leading against a bottom-tier team like Reading until the 87th minute... unbelievable.
They’re dealing with more absences today too, and nobody even knows if Terry is going to start...
Which means we might see them shuffling the defense again with Cahill and Ivanovic—who, let's be real, are basically just playing backup to Luiz and Terry.
Both these squads—especially the home team—are bleeding goals like crazy. And the visitors? They are all over the place... totally inconsistent under Benitez, it's been one long roller coaster ride.
Given how the home team plays, there's no way they walk away without conceding at least one goal... plus, the visitors' defense is so shaky it provides zero confidence or stability to anyone watching.
I'm expecting a high-tempo, frantic match where both sides are fighting tooth and nail. Motivation is definitely there—Demba will be looking to bury one, and the home side will be desperate to snatch points from these unconvincing visitors.

Wigan vs. Southampton: Over 2.5 goals at 1.80

Wigan is averaging about 3.3 goals per game at home, while Southampton is cranking out 3.7 when they travel.
Both defenses are pretty much a joke right now—they’re both giving up well over 1.5 goals every single match.
The attacking units, though? They're actually decent. Wigan put up 15 goals at home in their 12th match, while the visitors bagged 16 on the road.
When you've got weak backlines paired with solid offenses, things get wild. The visitors actually lost in overtime last week in a fantastic game that proved they can—and do—play a really aggressive attacking style.
Wigan is missing Ramis and Alcaraz in the back, and Boyce is a total question mark.
And their striker, Aruna Kone, is currently away in Africa.
As for the visitors, they're missing defender Jose Fonte and Guly in the midfield. Even their striker, Mayuka, is stuck in Africa.
Expect an efficient, high-scoring affair between two teams that just don't know how to stop the goals from flowing.

Club Brugge vs. Zulte Waregem... 2 @ 2.40

Man, I’ve been going down a total rabbit hole here—scouring club websites, flipping through the local American sports papers, even lurking on a few different fan forums—just trying to find *one* good reason to pass on this high-value bet on the away win. Seriously, I wanted to be talked out of it, but honestly? I couldn't find a single red flag.
It’s a classic David vs. Goliath setup: the bottom-dwellers taking on the second-place powerhouse...
And look, Zulte has been absolutely killing it on the road lately—seven wins, two draws, and only one measly loss. They're playing some seriously high-level ball right now.
The whole squad looks dialed in, especially since they brought in three solid new players to bolster the roster, whereas Club Brugge is still feeling the sting of losing their star striker. That kind of turnover really messes with a team's rhythm!
Now, I know what you're thinking—"But wait, Club Brugge hasn't lost at home in five games!" Yeah, okay, sure... but let's be real: those were all teams sitting way down in the basement, somewhere between 10th and 14th place. Not exactly the toughest litmus test, right?
In my book, the surging Zulte side is coming in here to sweep up all three points, while Club Brugge is probably going to have to look for a win somewhere else.

$20.00 Universidad Catolica - Palestino 1 1.60 SS

Catolica is looking solid right now, a pretty formidable squad... honestly, last season was a total wash for them. They cruised through the first round of the playoffs but then completely fell off the face of reality during the second half and didn't even make the cut. Well, they kicked off this new stretch with a shock loss to today's visitors, so this is basically their chance to settle the score. 😁 They’re the better side, hands down. If they actually show up and play with some grit, anything less than three points would be... well, I'm not even gonna go there. 🙂 They took care of O'Higgins in the first round, so grabbing another three points feels pretty mandatory at this point.

22:30 O'Higgins - Santiago Wanderers Over 2.5 goals 1.70 SS

Decent odds here. Might be a shame to pass this one up. I’m not totally sold on the home team walking away with any points, though they definitely don't want to start the season sitting on two straight losses. Expecting a scrappy fight. The visitors can score against anyone, and they thrive when the opponent plays an open game. Realistically, you could see just the Away Team Win, or maybe both the Away Team Win and Over 2.5 goals.

Good luck 🙂

Olhanense vs. Academica — 2 @ 2.86 via Pinnacle. 4/10.

Olhanense is still thin on depth—too many teenagers in the lineup right now—so their results are predictably shaky. They’ve dropped two of their last three, including a messy 3-3 draw against Estoril after they picked up a red card while leading 3-1. Academica is the superior side here; they’re in solid form with three wins in their last four league matches, and their only recent slip-up was a narrow 1-0 away loss to a very strong Pumas squad. With no major injury concerns on their end, I’m expecting an Academica win today—the odds are too good to pass up.

Here are my notes from their first look of the season:

Matchday 2 — a 1-1 draw at home against Olhanense.
Academica had more upside—they had plenty of opportunities—but they just couldn't capitalize on any of them. On the other hand, Olhanense was practically non-existent; their defense was a total mess.

Nacional vs. Moreirense — Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals @ 2.40. 6/10.

Nacional is finally finding their rhythm—two wins in their last three league outings, including a massive home victory against Braga. They tend to play much more aggressively at home than they do on the road. Today, they face Moreirense, who is struggling significantly; they’ve managed just one win in sixteen matches. Interestingly, that lone victory came against Nacional right here at home earlier this season—a 3-1 result for the underdogs. Here is my take on how this match plays out:

Week 2 — A solid 3-1 home win against LAFC.
Moreirense looked much sharper—they struck early, survived a massive scare, and controlled the tempo. Things got even easier after Nacional picked up a deserved red card for a reckless two-footed challenge; that opened the floodgates for two more goals from Moreirense. They were arguably unlucky not to have more, too—hitting the woodwork and squandering two clear sitters that the keeper managed to bail them out on. Nacional finally clawed one back around the 70th minute, though the defensive lapse there was baffling.

Moreirense played exceptionally well today—they honestly could have walked away with a much larger margin of victory.
Nacional’s defense is looking pretty porous—they’ve already surrendered 28 goals through the first 16 rounds.
On the other hand, the visitors have been struggling significantly in front of the net—especially lately. They’ve managed only 14 goals through 16 matches, and their recent form is frankly dismal: one draw and four losses in their last five outings, with a goal differential of 0-14. Naturally, the coach paid the price for that slump. The new manager is already preaching about a hunt for points—essentially saying it's time to stop playing catch-up with the rest of the league. I think they can find the back of the net today. That high coefficient on Over 2.5 goals is largely driven by the visitors' poor run. For context, betting on more than 2.5 goals at our local sportsbooks sits around 1.80, which is pretty much what you see overseas; that extra 0.60 spread is strictly due to this team's recent struggles. Still, I'll reiterate—the home side's defense isn't exactly elite and they concede plenty. This could very well go our way.
Regarding injuries—Nacional has their full squad available, whereas Moreirense is missing two key pieces—a defender and a midfielder.

Beira Mar vs. Braga — 2 @ 1.71 via DraftKings — 4/10

Beira Mar is a subpar squad—I’ve been saying that week after week—but it clearly doesn't matter.
They’re sitting at 14th right now—and honestly, I expect them to stay somewhere around that mark through the end of the season.
They’re in a complete freefall right now—seven games without a win, including a four-game skid where three were league matchups. The defense is a sieve, giving up 29 goals in just 16 rounds. It’s mostly just unforced errors at this point.
Braga lost their starting keeper to Sevilla this transfer window—and now they're missing another key defender today. It’s not exactly a disaster, though; they haven't been at full strength all season anyway. They’re currently in a bit of a slump, having dropped two of their last three league matches. If they want to stay in the hunt for the title, they really have no choice but to win today.
Braga plays an aggressive style of football—I’m a fan of how they approach the game. They have some serious firepower in Lima and Eder.
These two teams have already faced off twice this season—once in league play and once in the cup. I watched both matches. Both times, Atlanta United completely dictated the tempo and cruised to convincing victories, winning 3-1 and 3-0 respectively.

Here are my notes on Braga’s league victory:

Week 2 — A solid 3-1 home victory against the Porto FC squad.
The Beira Mar performance was honestly desperate—they completely lacked any offensive presence. Then, out of absolutely nowhere, they conceded in the 93rd minute to make it 1-3.
Even without five starters in the lineup, Braga completely controlled the tempo—they should have walked away with a few more goals given the sheer number of chances they carved out.
The Real Madrid defense was an absolute mess—constant errors all night, and their keeper looked shaky at best.

I expect Braga to dominate once again tonight. They’re simply the better side—they'll capitalize on the opposition's mistakes, and history is firmly on their side, having won the last five matchups between them.

James Taylor3 is already hyping up everything for the Olhanenses, so I'm not even going to bother typing 👍

Besides, I'm just not in the mood to write much today..

Manchester City vs Liverpool, 1 @2 SS

United is already sitting at +10, so City can't afford any slip-ups. They've been playing solid lately, especially on the defensive end, and they should pull this one off. Liverpool is playing decent enough, given what we've grown used to seeing, but they aren't quite as formidable on the road as they are at Anfield...

Valencia vs Barcelona, Over 3.5 goals @2 SS

Barca basically has the title locked up, so they're playing way more relaxed now—you can see it in the high scoring numbers from their last few league games. Valencia has nothing to lose other than the chance to play spoiler against Barca, and they need the points, so I’m expecting an open game with plenty of goals.

Leverkusen vs Dortmund, 2 @2.20

Leverkusen is one point ahead of Dortmund, but Dortmund started the spring strong with two convincing wins and an 8-0 aggregate score. It's obvious they're stepping on the gas to secure
the Champions League while the schedule is still relatively easy..

It’s basically a showdown between two heavyweights chasing down the leaders... pure chaos waiting to happen.
Leverkusen is absolutely killing it at home right now—they’re undefeated there and play like they own the pitch—while Dortmund actually seems to find their rhythm more when they're traveling.
Both squads are looking pretty much full strength for this one, and let's be real, both sides play such an aggressive, high-octane style... especially Dortmund, who just live for the attack.
You’ve got stars like Götze, Blaszczykowski, Reus, and Lewandowski going head-to-head against the likes of Castro, Schürrle, and Kiesling on the home side.
Honestly, no matter how this match unfolds, I'm expecting a massive amount of goals by the final whistle... it's almost inevitable.
As long as someone breaks the deadlock early, the floodgates are gonna open and we'll see even more chances and more scoring... just wait for it...

Dortmund II vs. Aachen (Week 22) | Wed 7:00 PM | X2 @ 1.60

So, this one’s a rescheduled game because of that massive snowstorm we had—already did some digging on it! Aachen started the second half of the season strong with a 2-0 win over Saarbrücken, and they are super determined to stay up in League One. Meanwhile, Dortmund II is sitting right near the bottom with basically nothing to play for at this point.

Gent vs. Beerschot | Sat 6:00 PM | Home Win @ 1.55

Man, Beerschot hasn't found the back of the net in five games now—they're fighting tooth and nail just to avoid relegation. Gent has been in a bit of a drought too, with two straight 0-0 draws... surely things finally open up here, right?

👍
Dortmund II - Aachen 0:0
Gent - Beerschot 2:1

Looking ahead, I've got

Tuesday 8:45 PM

Scunthorpe vs. Portsmouth | Home Win @ 1.60

What can you even say about Portsmouth? Nine starters have walked out on the club in just the last two weeks! Plus, they've dropped three straight home games against teams at the bottom of the table. Scunthorpe really needs these 3 points to keep their survival hopes alive.

Saturday 4:00 PM

Bournemouth vs. Portsmouth | Home Win @ 1.40

Seriously, what is going on with Portsmouth? They lost nine first-team players in a fortnight, and they've been getting hammered at home by bottom-feeders lately. On the flip side, Bournemouth desperately needs this win if they want to clinch that promotion to the Championship!
