This is just damage control... before the next set of problems inevitably floats to the surface. It's pathetic, really. Even Váteks couldn't save themselves, and they were in three times worse shape than us.

I’m saying this in good faith, because I truly don't understand why people are buying into their act. When all that's left of the Dodgers is a sense of identity in California, that's the only thing worth building on. We should be moving forward from there, not dragging out this misery like some ridiculous stage play run by Kerumov.

In my view, we should have headed for bankruptcy a few years ago when this whole "transformation" was first cooked up, and who knows if things would have turned out as perfect as you're dreaming. Now that we're already deep into this specific organizational structure, especially after adopting the Model Code and establishing the NH, it feels like a waste to throw everything away. Especially since there's actually a little light at the end of the tunnel. We just need a few more years of stabilization to get everything back where it belongs; we just have to survive these loans and the old debts being called in. With rational spending, better marketing, and God willing, a run in the EL, we could pull ourselves out of this mess instantly. Some lucky idiot even managed to get us into the EL through sheer luck, despite us doing nothing to deserve it, so maybe fortune will finally smile on us when we actually need it most.

As for Čepo, he's such a total flake who actually seemed halfway decent compared to all those idiots on the City Council during some appearances, but I guess being a lifelong student means you have to bow down to outsiders, though if he shows up in the North or East stands next game, he really deserves to be properly heckled... and Galic went to those away games about as often as Kerum does, basically whenever there's a good party at some European match where they can hang out, grab a drink, and soak it up... he and those away trips don't make any sense, and I guess that whole "damn populist" label you gave them is pretty much the reality here in the city lately...

Bankruptcy? Yeah, back when we were basically a non-profit civic association, sure—but not today. Even with bankruptcy, the Dodgers wouldn't change their corporate structure; we'd still be stuck as a corporation. There’s no assets left, and there’s a huge chance some random vulture buys the team for pennies.

If losing the code of conduct and the NH means all those years of fighting go down the drain, that would be a total tragedy. Look, it’s not actually the issue if we play in the minor leagues or struggle for a few years. We can grind through the debt and the guarantees for a while to protect what we own.
