Why does the forum lag so much from 9 AM to midnight?

What the hell am I supposed to do to make Safari on my iPad actually fly? It’s driving me nuts... and get this, for some reason it runs like lightning at night, but during the day? Absolute garbage. If it's an issue with ads, how does that even make sense? They're the exact same damn ads whether it's noon or midnight...

It’s a server issue. During the day, this forum is absolutely slammed with people, but once it gets late, it’s basically a ghost town. No crowd, no traffic, so obviously the speed is killer at night.

See, on the last page everyone’s trying to 'fix' things by just using ad blockers, which is why I’m asking... I get that there are fewer users at night and more during the day, sure, but it was the same deal a year ago, even three months back... the forum hasn't actually grown this much 🤷

Honestly, if you want to actually take control of your browsing, NoScript blows AdBlock and AdBlock+ out of the water.

Well, I suppose it’s day two for AdBlock+, and so far, everything seems to be running without any major hitches. 😁
It isn't just limited to this specific forum, either; it's actually managing to handle a vast array of other websites that are absolutely cluttered with intrusive advertisements.

The forum is still dragging today. Come on, folks, pick up the pace. Where are all our IT experts when we actually need them?

I’ve no clue what happened, honestly. I didn't touch any of the ad settings, but the forum is flying right now—it feels just as fast as when I'm scrolling at 2 AM!

Whatever the admins pulled off, it actually works.

I installed those adblockers yesterday and everything seems to be running smoothly now 😁. I'm not sure if that was the fix or not, but it doesn't really matter. Thanks to qrtzu for the tip—it's finally working. That was getting impossible.
