France looks ridiculous.

Karabatić struggled (2/12) 🙏🙏

Finally, some good news: they're OUT of the tournament!!!
There is absolutely no chance they make it to the semifinals now.
Americans 4
Spaniards and Canadians 3
Canadians 2
Frenchmen 0
Icelanders 0

No way!

Narcisse, Karabatić, and Abalo combined for a measly 7/30 🤦
Basically, Fazekas absolutely wrecked them with 21 saves 🙏

Yes way, I don't know why everyone is jumping to conclusions so fast. We've still got a maximum of 4 points left on the table, so we could grab second place if everything goes our way. They're facing Iceland and Canada, both of whom are tough matchups, and we all know how much we've struggled against them lately. Take it easy. 😉

We’re sitting at a maximum of four points right now, which means if everything goes our way, we could still snag second place. They have matchups against the US and maybe even some tough games against teams like Canada, both of which are winnable for them—and we all know how we've been performing against those types of opponents lately. Let's just slow down a bit. 😉

Oh... please. As if I didn't already know all that.

But...

The Spaniards could probably pull off four points from their matches against Canada and Iceland, if they actually decide to show up.
Canadians too, I suppose.
That makes seven.
And that’s all assuming we haven't even played our own games yet. I suppose we might eventually develop a kid of our own who can actually compete.
I find that hard to believe. 😉

Looking for the replay of the USA vs. Canada game. It’s on at 10:15 PM over on ESPN 2, if you're checking the stream.

This isn't even happening at the Madison Square Garden yet—it's still playing out in Chicago.

Man, I’d love to catch the whole thing too... but how do I actually find a recording? And what on earth is Sopcast anyway??

Grab the SopCast app here: http://www.sopcast.org/download/

Just hunt down the Dolce 2 channel and you're good to go.

edit - turns out that channel is offline, so scratch that idea.

Try finding the Dolce 2 channel and you should be good to go.

Edit - turns out that channel is actually offline, so never mind that.

Yeah, figured that out myself, bummer... 🙄

Thanks anyway, no biggie...

It’s fine—we face the Frenchmen in the second round, where we can grab our ticket through while sending them packing. We’re looking solid here; this could actually turn into gold.

France and Denmark basically knocked themselves out of the running, which pretty much clears the path for us to grab the gold.

Slavko knows what's up. ☕

The Frenchies might be reeling right now, but don't you dare count them out just yet. Huge props to the Canadians for pulling this one off!

Nandor FAZEKAS 21/44 48% 😲😲😲

Nikola KARABATIĆ 3 /15 20% 😲😲😲

Daniel NARCISSE 3/10 30% 😲😲😲

Man, this Nandor guy just absolutely wrecked them...

Then you look at Omeyer, who pulled off 15 saves—basically, that Canadian keeper just shut down the French team...

I honestly can't remember the last time I saw shooting efficiency this bad; Karabatić was struggling more than anyone else out there...
