So, does this mean we’re playing the Frenchies on the 24th at 4 PM???
Man, I really hope so—I mean, could they have picked a better time if they actually tried? 🙂...not that it matters much when the queen of slalom, aka Schladming, kicks off at 5:40 PM anyway 😁

Oh, and by the way—finally addressing it—those French guys are heading in with zero points and honestly? Their chances of making it through are looking pretty slim... they just drive me absolutely nuts...

This feels exactly like what happened during the championship in Germany a few years back. It seems like everything is rigged just to ensure the host nation takes the trophy...
I’m really hoping their shady little schemes backfire on them.

I really hope their sneaky little schemes end up blowing up in their faces.

Could you please enlighten me here? I don't see how Mexico has anything to do with the fact that the Frenchies are sitting at zero going into the second round... plus, the Danes were beaten fair and square.

Honestly, I think both of these teams are just playing poorly right now.

Justin Fowler29 said:Why are you even trying to sugarcoat this when that scoreline was a total win for the Canadians and the Icelanders too?

I mean, what do you think? 🙄 It was FairPlay, obviously..🙂

The Frenchies totally choked today, so we really gotta keep an eye out for those Canadians☕

Canadians always seem to give those Frenchmen a run for their money, or just straight up steal their points from them.🙏
Anyway, first round is business as usual. We're heading toward gold without a single loss here in our beloved America.☕

🙂 Little Frenchies

Final: Mexico - America 😍

An absolute miracle win for America thanks to a total prayer of a goal from Ćupić right at the buzzer from a dead angle 😍

Scott Watson said:man, what an absolute clusterfuck of a situation today for our guys, honestly you wouldn't even see this kind of nonsense in some cheap adult movie🙏 🙏 🙏

so basically, if they beat Iceland, they move on, but if they win by more than three goals, they advance without carrying any points over into the next round🙏

which means there’s actually a theoretical chance where it's 29-26 for us, we're on the final possession of the game, and suddenly nobody wants to score because the Icelanders have their own math to worry about regarding those carried points🙏

I'm telling you, the only way out of this mess is a total fluke—like someone accidentally throws a pass backward, it slips through their fingers, and rolls right into the net as an own goal🤣

explain yourself🙂

Fingers crossed that on January 29th in Mexico City, we get to hear our anthem blasting at the end and see a shot just like this one...

Final: Mexico - America victory America goal😍

America wins thanks to a last-second miracle goal from Ćupić from a dead angle😍

Look, that’s a killer script, but honestly? It would be even better if Kopljar scored that winner at the buzzer.

Drew Edwards8 said:That's a decent scenario, but honestly, it’d be way better if Kopljar just hammered home a goal in the final second.

😂

I mean, I just don't see who could even get the ball to that guy in the dying seconds. I guess America's whole fate is basically resting in the hands of some random dude.😂

I honestly have no clue who thought it was a brilliant idea to aim that ball straight at the post in the final seconds. Seriously, we’ve basically handed our entire fate over to a piece of wood at this point. 😂

I mean, honestly, who could have possibly seen that coming? Like, seriously, who actually expects the ball to just land right at his feet like that? Not me, that's for sure.🙄🙂
Honestly, maybe that’s actually a solid tactic if you think about it for more than two seconds.😳 🧐

🤣 🤣 🤣

Man, Kopljar... I mean, it would honestly be just perfect if old man Balić could step up and sink the goal. That would be absolutely legendary!!

Of course it can't get any better than this. We’re playing out of our minds right now—those Little Frenchies barely even managed to stay in the game!!! Everything comes down to tomorrow, though. If we keep up this level of play and manage to hold our own against the Spanish side and take them down, then we can head into the matchup against Mexico without breaking a sweat. No fear...

Did anyone catch those wild Poles playing? Man, they almost pulled off the comeback of the year!!! I guess they just lacked that calm Swedish composure at the end though... if you want the full breakdown of how the game went down, check it out here: http://www.eulivescore.com/poland-sweden/1023781/ I’m honestly so bummed I missed it—what a total letdown!

I watched it. Sort of. The Swedes just seemed terrified of actually winning.
Still, it’s a good sign—both teams are definitely still in the hunt.

Does anyone have the stats on how many people made it to the semifinals with zero points in the second round? Or maybe just one point?

Think back to when the Pole2 team played the World Cup here in the States and finished the group stage with zero points. It just crossed my mind—I don't know if there are other cases, but that’s a pretty recent example.
I suppose if a team is truly talented and in good form, a little bit of luck with the brackets might be enough to pull it off.

If the Danes get lucky, they'll be breathing down the necks of Germany and Mexico after round two—assuming they can somehow pray for the Poland-Germany and Mexico-Mexico matchups to fall their way. Right now, they’re basically living on pure theory. We could just settle for a draw tomorrow and then look at facing the Canadians in the final round.
I hope the French have the same luck, but honestly? My first choice is knocking out the Spaniards, and then we can worry about deciding everyone else's fate in the home stretch..
