Questions about how the site works and site management

Sponsored topics clearly get a totally different level of treatment than everything else here on the forum.
I was wondering, how is it that there isn't a character limit on usernames within those specific threads?
Does that also count as part of the sponsorship deal?

I’m curious about the technical side of this forum. Are there plans to upgrade vBulletin or make any moves regarding mobile responsiveness?
Is there an actual team handling maintenance, or what?
Personally, I’d much rather open a responsive version of this site than rely on Tapatalk—not that Tapatalk has been working particularly well lately anyway.

I’ve tried tweaking the look locally to make it responsive, but trying to overhaul the whole thing would take forever... most of this is still built on old-school tables.

Is this just how it stays forever, or are some changes actually on the horizon?

I seriously can't even believe this! The exact same thing happened to me today—on my phone and my laptop—and while I was just scrolling through some threads, these black images suddenly hijacked my entire screen. On my phone, I was scrambling to shut everything down ASAP, but my laptop? It literally froze solid... couldn't even budge the mouse. I have no clue what kind of nonsense this is, but honestly, it's beyond unprofessional to let this go unaddressed for months! Can someone please explain why this crap needs to be taking up my whole screen??
