Questions about how the site works and site management

So, when a user asks point-blank, "What's going on with the admins?", the admin just snaps back with, "Nothing is happening."

Well, if that's really the case—if absolutely "nothing" is going on with the administration—then I have to wonder: why on earth am I not seeing all the admin handles highlighted in that bright, crimson color? Or... I guess, is it just me? Is it like that for everyone else too?

Well, I mean, she gave an answer, didn't she? So, whatever. Nothing much is actually happening anyway.

I never even questioned whether the answers were truthful—but, seeing as absolutely nothing ever comes of my interactions with the admins, I have to ask: why on earth is one of the administrators' avatars just a black square?😕

It’s because they aren't an admin anymore. Right now, Nica is the only active non-technical admin we've got left.

Wait, where on earth are you getting the idea that some admin has a black username? That just doesn't fly. In this system, admins have purple names, period. If you see someone rocking a black username, then they're just a moderator, not an admin. I guess people just get things mixed up sometimes, but yeah, that's how it works.

Why on earth are posts being counted on the "hangout and coffee" subforum?

That’s just how it’s always been, I guess. But if we're talking about those chat threads, they eventually get wiped out, and when they do, it basically drags down the total post count too.

I'm having some major login issues. I emailed the admin yesterday, but I haven't heard anything back yet.
Basically, as soon as the page refreshes after I log in, I get logged right back out.
I already cleared all my cookies, but it’s still doing the exact same thing.
I somehow managed to get logged in just now—not really sure how—but I'm guessing it's a cookie issue since I specifically cleared them for this forum site.

If anyone has any clue what might be causing this, please let me know.
I've tried using two different browsers, both Chrome and Mozilla, and they're both acting up even after the latest updates.

How do I know? Well, look—I simply connected the dots between the statement "nothing is happening with the admins" and the actual fact that one of the administrator usernames turned black right before my eyes. This happened even after—quite explicitly, mind you—nothing at all had been done regarding them from the highest level.

It’s enough to leave a person feeling a bit disoriented, I suppose.

BTW, I’m sure you’re well aware of this: any regular forum user will happily take a massive amount of heat when they try to address a banned user who can't even reply back.
