Best wireless printer/scanner recommendations?

Hello everyone. Please forgive my intrusion into this group of technical experts, but I am genuinely hoping to get some guidance from you all. I’ve been hearing various suggestions and opinions floating around, but I'm still feeling a bit lost...
A few months ago, I picked up a new laptop and set it up with my wireless modem. Since my apartment isn't exactly huge, I really want to avoid having a bulky printer taking up valuable desk space, so I'm looking to invest in a wireless printer/scanner combo instead.
For someone like me who only finds a use for a printer about once every ten days, there is definitely no need for a high-end, expensive model. Any advice, ideas, or thoughts you could share would be greatly appreciated.

Check out some of the newer Microsoft models; I'm pretty sure they all have WiFi.
