I’d bet anything they didn't even get an infraction.

I sent you another PM...
Please get back to me. Or just say here if you aren't going to reply... I just need to know how to proceed.

Laura Evans3 said:if she decided to post a photo, then she has to expect people commenting that she’s fat... that her legs look bad, or that she’s ugly...
when Dolly called someone stupid—and I honestly have no idea how you can tell someone is dim-witted just by looking at a picture—she got banned... if you'd been following the situation since Saturday, you would've known that Lindsy also got banned for making the exact same kind of comment that isn't even "deducible" from a photo.

They have a right to their opinions, sure, but that’s exactly why people get banned—and not just for a two-day stint, either. 😉

Where on earth did you see me insulting anyone's photo? Unless, of course, they decide to come for me first.

Point number two: have you ever stopped to wonder why I'm the only one getting picked on? And I don't mean with insults like "stupid" or whatever—I mean when other people post photos, nobody comments at all, or they just say something nice. Look, I don't need everyone singing my praises from the rooftops, but if people don't like me, the culture should be "don't be an asshole," rather than thinking they can insult me without facing a ban. That's the reality.

She got banned because she called me stupid? Fine. But what about all those other threads where I start a perfectly normal discussion only to get blown up at? Isn't that harassment too?
It's not just the random stuff, either—it happens in the trash threads, and even when I'm asking something legitimate:

Since when was it allowed to take photos from other forums and post them here? 🤷

Laura Evans3 said:Oh yeah, tell me why you're defending Melpy so hard and just copying posts that make her look bad... why didn't you copy the ones about "trash" or call mod Azriel since he didn't delete the post linking to that other forum where all her photos are posted?

And an even better question...
what do you mean by saying there's "no hope" for her in this post?
http://www.forum.com/showthread.php?p...1#post23764471

Look, Scott...
Why don't you just write around me? I won't post in your sub-forums, and you can just bypass me as a regular user. Cool?

I'm not digging up links for trash. And I'm not pulling images from comments either.
Because if someone's smart, it's obvious what's going on here.

I don't know which comment you linked, but if it's the one saying neither she nor STARS can be helped, then just so you know, I spent half the afternoon asking STARS not to post stuff like the one I copied to the trash thread and commented on...
And Melpy is hopeless when she starts threads like that one about small penises...

But that's just her defense mechanism, same as what I told STARS—the issue is the need to constantly prove herself and get attention on the forum.

I think you guys have made Melpy's life hell lately because she actually cares what people think, otherwise she wouldn't be posting photos.

I'm getting out of this thread because I don't want this to turn into a personal grudge match between us. I've said my piece.

It's not about you giving me warnings, it's about your ability to judge. I guess you just don't have the capacity to see things clearly. So, the warnings don't really bother me.
But you'll never get that, so why even bother explaining...

Whether these are insults or not, let the admins decide. Sent a PM...
Later.

P. S. It's pretty fascinating how fast you guys responded to this thread. If I hadn't jumped in, I bet this would already be locked and Melpy would be totally triggered.
So, I guess I'm glad I was being a nuisance. Proud of it...

Donna Wood52 said:They have a point, but that doesn't mean a ban should be anything more than a two-day suspension. 😉

Where exactly did you see me insulting someone's photo? Unless they decided to come at me first, I haven't said a single word against anyone.

No, you aren't going to get banned for that. Honestly, if you really don't want to deal with those kinds of comments, maybe just stop posting so many pictures.

Donna Wood52 said:Have you ever wondered why I’m the only one getting torn apart? And I don't just mean people calling my posts "stupid." It feels like whenever anyone else shares a photo, the comments are either silent or filled with nothing but praise. Look, I’m not asking for everyone to sing my praises or treat me like a celebrity, but if someone really doesn't like my style, there are better ways to handle it than being outright insulting. They know they won't get banned for it, either. That's what makes it so frustrating.

They called you out because you're posting photos that lack any real substance or direction. There isn't a rulebook for basic manners, though. Sorry, feraltrucker5.

Donna Wood52 said:Did she really win just because she called me stupid? Seriously? And what about all those other threads where I try to start a normal conversation only to get shut down immediately? That’s not just moderation; that feels like straight-up harassment.
I wanted to switch things up a bit and pivot toward some total trash content, but I also have a quick question for everyone:

You should probably have a chat with the moderators over at those specific sub-forums about this.

Donna Wood52 said:Since when did they start allowing people to post images from other forums here on the forum? 🤷

They’re laughing now... just make sure you watch your privacy next time.
A lot of people make the mistake of linking directly to Facebook photos. By doing that, they’re essentially handing over their identity on a silver platter. They end up risking their privacy and letting people figure out their real names. Honestly, it's just a careless error on their part.

I started this thread about small penises because I was tired of being the punchline—they mocked me, so now I’m giving them exactly what they deserve. It's only fair.

P. S. — You can say whatever you want, really, but I’m not buying it.
I’m just done with the arguing. Honestly—I don't have the energy for it anymore.

People out there are reckless enough to link their Facebook photos directly. They hand over their names on a silver platter. It's their own damn fault...

That’s just not true. If you try to advertise other forums here, you get a permanent ban. I’ve seen it happen with my own eyes—spammers getting kicked out for good.

Good grief. Maybe try actually learning how to communicate online, and then learn the rules of this forum...

So you're saying I can just drop a photo of Marchi in a trash thread without her permission???
doesn't matter where the photo came from...

am I wrong or does it say here:

"On this forum, it is prohibited:
to post private information of other members"

And someone's photo is definitely private info...

Plus, the rules for the sub-forum you moderate say posting other people's photos is banned and carries a heavy penalty...

Nobody gets to post my photos on this site without my okay, whether they're from another forum, Facebook, or wherever...

Even an American court would back me up on that.

And the rest falls under another rule in your own sub-forum:

Commenting isn't insulting. Insults and tasteless comments will be penalized with warnings. You can express your opinion normally, just like any other user.

If those comments seem tasteful to you, then whatever...
can't argue with taste, I guess...

Go ahead and tear me apart then. I have no intention of posting in your subforums anyway, so you might as well just bypass me entirely in your capacity as a forum member. Sound like a plan?

Maybe you should just calm down and leave me out of this. Honestly, you can't even claim that because you've already been weighing in on several topics where neither I nor my specific sub-forums were even mentioned. I haven't even chimed in yet.

My sense of duty here is exactly the same as it is in my real life: when I see two kids picking on a third, I can't just stand by. It seems like you're having a hard time grasping why that matters to me.

You’re constantly dragging STARS in that trash subforum... always linking back to his posts with those little emojis. 🤣 😂 🤦

placidcrane7 said:That isn't true. If you try to advertise other forums around here, you get a permanent ban. I've seen it happen with my own eyes—people who spam ads get kicked out immediately.

There’s a massive difference between actually sharing something useful and just dropping a link to some forum or a flashy landing page and telling everyone to go sign up. That isn't community building; that's just straight-up advertising.
Sharing a link to an internal page within the info section isn't advertising. It's just providing context.
It sounds like everyone thinks clicking that link is a guaranteed way to get a permanent pass, but that’s just not how it works. It isn't that simple.

So, according to you, I’m just supposed to drop a photo of Marchi in a trash thread without her permission???
regardless of where that photo originally came from...

Am I missing something here, or does this rule exist:

"On this forum, it is prohibited to:
publish the private information of other members"

And a person's photo—heaven help us—is absolutely private information..

Furthermore, the rules for the sub-forum you moderate explicitly state that posting someone else's photos is forbidden and carries a massive point penalty..

Nobody has the right to post my photos on this forum without my consent, whether they were taken from another site, Facebook, or anywhere else under the sun...

Even an actual court would uphold that in a ruling.

As for everything else, it falls under another rule in your own damn sub-forum:

Commenting isn't insulting. Insults and tasteless comments will be penalized with warnings. You are free to express your opinions normally, just like any other member.

If those kinds of comments seem "tasteless" to you, then we have nothing left to discuss.
I won't argue about matters of taste...

I'm with you on that! I just don't understand why they haven't been banned yet after posting someone else's picture and exposing their identity. 🤷

Does anyone here have the contact info for the admin?

We're slipping back into that tone again...

dustypuma5 said:So you're telling me I can just post a photo of Marchi in a trash thread without her permission?

Regardless of where that photo was originally posted...

If she posted it on her own blog and wrote "this is me," and you come here and link to that blog saying "this is her," that's perfectly fine...

dustypuma5 said:Am I mistaken, or does it say here:

If she made it public herself, then it isn't "private information" anymore.
That's why I'm saying we need to be careful with what we write.

dustypuma5 said:But the rules for the sub-forum you moderate state that posting others' photos is prohibited and carries a heavy point penalty...

True, but nobody actually *posted* her photo. They just linked to the post where she already uploaded it. There's a huge difference...

dustypuma5 said:No one is allowed to post my photos on this Forum, whether they were originally on another site, Facebook, or anywhere else...

Could you please quote the specific law?

Laura Evans3 said:you're constantly trashing Stars on that garbage subforum... just linking back to his posts with emojis like 🤣 😂 🤦

True. But it's more like trying to make Stars realize he's being ridiculous since his own posts basically invite the mockery. And Stars definitely knows what's being said about him on the trash boards...

But look at these posts....
When someone stalks you like that, it feels like you aren't stupid or weak-willed, it's just psychology messing with you. Maybe try focusing on something productive? With your willpower, you could probably do something great. On this forum, you're just fodder for comments like this 🤦

Just stop wasting your time. If you actually want to work, get into the industry and change your attitude.
Keep learning, stay curious, but don't ever act like you know it all because this field is too massive to ever master.
The community will judge you.
And quit typing with ALL CAPS because that forced emphasis just makes you look bad. From where I'm sitting, it's not a good look.

Anyway here's the whole thread so people can see how I actually feel about Stars...

But I'm not the issue here...
Maybe just deal with your own problems first. You already know my stance on you, and this whole situation just proves it....

hm. Honestly, that’s exactly why I didn't want to put my face out there—but apparently, people from that other forum just couldn't help themselves and started digging anyway.
I thought I made it perfectly clear that I had no intention of revealing who I am.

What kind of nonsense is this? If someone chooses not to post their photo or doesn't want to be identified on an American message board, then what? Is the plan to just force it?
To go hunting through other sites just to drag someone's identity onto this forum... good grief... 🤷

If anyone has an attitude, it's you.

Like, seriously: nobody has the right to post my picture on this forum, whether it's from Facebook or some other site, unless I specifically gave the okay.
I could send you a link to my own photo, have you post it, tag it as dustypuma5, and then I'll hit you with the exact legal statute to clear things up over in the section where the mods and admins actually act differently.

dustypuma5 said:I’ll say this one more time: nobody has my permission to post my photo on this forum, whether it's from Facebook or any other site, unless I have explicitly given them the green light.
If you send me the link to your photo, I’ll get it posted. I can add a caption like, "Here is dustypuma5," and then follow up by quoting the specific legal statute that clarifies things—especially regarding those sections where the moderators and the community guidelines operate a bit differently.

Look, if you send me a direct link to one of your photos, that’s strictly between us. I shouldn't be posting that anywhere. You shared that link with me privately, and using it publicly would basically be a breach of privacy. That’s the core issue here—there is a massive difference between private sharing and public disclosure.

melpy said:I sent you that photo...

First, you say: Send me a photo of that desk and bed. Also, write "melpy" in the shot so I can show everyone it’s actually you.

Where did my PM go? Seriously, if you're going to copy that one below, could you please just grab this one too?

Does it really matter that much to you if I tell them it was you?

melpy said:And then:

Excuse me? I’ve sent that over to the help desk several times now, and I haven't heard a single word back. Not even a ping.

I can tell you're bored, and honestly, it feels like you're just trying to stir the pot a little bit.

I’m definitely not bored here, and I have plenty of other things on my plate to keep me busy. Honestly, if you had just tightened up that little detail, I probably would've received the notification and reached out to you way before Saturday. This isn't exactly our first time going back and forth over comments and photos, either. We know how this works.

So, I’m posting this PMA... and we all know that’s technically against the rules. If someone ends up getting flagged for it, don't come looking at me like I'm the one to blame.

Donna Wood52 said:The main thing is that they didn't get banned. ☕

Because of that photo, this thread is being cut short by a page, and those involved have already been handed disciplinary write-ups.

Laura Evans3 said:basically posting private messages here... and you know that's against the rules.. so when I get banned, I guess it's my fault?

I knew it once I saw her mention in a DM that they were gonna ban her.

melpy, you gotta watch what you say because according to the rules they'll ban you and then you won't even be able to participate in this thread. I already told you that. Basically, she's trying to bait you into getting banned just so she can play the victim and Nex will shut the whole thing down.
Don't give them the satisfaction, man. You have a few ways to handle this since your complaint actually makes sense.
Just use those methods, message all the admins, every supermod, and every mod via DM to appeal:
- because people are shamelessly mocking you in the comments on the general and trash subforums
- because photos of your face from other sites are being posted here when you didn't want them on this site
- because a moderator is literally DMing you asking for photos of your kitchen setup as "proof" that the pictures are yours
- because you've become a target for ridicule on the forum, nobody responds to your reports, and then when you finally snap back at the insults, you're the one who gets banned
- ask the admins to look into the situation and try to protect you from this kind of behavior

Send it to everyone, there's a list of forum staff at the bottom of the page.
DM them all...

Stand up for yourself, but don't let them ban you. Watch the rules...

Don't post private messages because it's not allowed.

The main thing is how they're ripping photos of you from other forums and dropping them here.
It's so hypocritical, it's gross...

Once photos hit the internet, they belong to everyone. For instance, you can find Mel's pictures on Google in about two minutes flat 😉

So, I guess there really isn't any privacy violation happening here; they were posted on a public forum. Even if they’re just on Facebook, they're still out there on the web—what happens when a friend just grabs them and reshared? Look at how photos of various American celebrities end up online all the time. There's no crime being committed, nor is anyone breaking any laws or rights ☕

People need to realize that once you put something online, it's done. There's no going back. Those images can end up on a hundred different sites and you can't really complain about it. Nobody hacked Mel's email or used some illegal method to get her photos. Just because she posted something on Forum A doesn't mean it can't be shown on Forum B. Whether she wants that or not is a separate issue entirely.

How do famous people like Taylor Swift or various Hollywood stars end up with their photos all over the place? It’s not a crime or a legal issue. ☕

I guess if I found your photo and posted it saying "this is Chloe Palmer2," you'd have the right to ask the admins to take it down, and they'd have to listen.
If that's not how it works, some admin better explain it.

Honestly, the photos aren't even the main issue. The real problem is how mods on different subforums let people trash Melvin using the absolute lowest, gutter-tier language possible.
Maybe there isn't a rule against it, but it's just gross to me.
It feels like when kids corner the weakest kid in class and just shove him around while mocking him...
But whatever, maybe I'm just crazy for caring... Maybe I'm just old-fashioned and you guys are all so advanced...
