I was confused when I logged on tonight. Now I get it.

I don't care what that one user is up to on other sites. I don't read her threads, I don't find them funny, and I have zero interest in arguing with people who act like that on a forum.

I only step in when it concerns the moderation of the trash threads. Just like a similar situation a few months back, I have no intention of punishing users for laughing at stuff they found online. If someone posts controversial content anywhere on the web and then complains about how people react to it, that's on them.

My stance remains the same: the internet is a brutal place. If you put your privacy out there, you have to accept that your content can end up anywhere, in any context.

Also, I'm not paying attention to the users trying to start revolutions by claiming the whole world is against them. That doesn't happen to anyone sane.

I hope Melpy finally got all the attention she was fishing for, because this is getting exhausting.

Back to the trash threads. Melpy gets mentioned, a few comments fly by, and that's it. People move on to more interesting things.
When things started spiraling around the same person again today, my colleague Simple Filla locked the thread to let the hotheads cool off. Good for her. 👍

And look, I'm not planning on killing the banter on Reddit. That's what the sub is for.
