Nero Burning ROM

So, a new version of the popular Nero Burning ROM dropped a few days ago. It’s surprisingly fast, efficient, and incredibly easy to navigate.
The Engine is significantly faster than previous iterations. I'd love to hear what everyone here thinks—is it worth making the jump to ABS 7, or should I just stick with Nero?

Honestly, what can I say? I've been using Nero Burning ROM for what feels like forever, and it still runs perfectly—totally reliable, just how I like it. As for Nero, back when it was actually a solid program that did what it promised, it was great. But nowadays? good grief...I ended up uninstalling it ages ago and haven't let it anywhere near my computer since.

I’m still sticking with Nero... honestly, I don't really care if it takes a bit longer to cook. I just toss a CD or DVD in there, let it do its thing, and leave it running in the background.
As long as it gets the job done right—meaning no errors or ruining my discs—I’m staying put. I've got zero complaints. 🙂

None of those optional programs actually burn subtitles correctly for me. Every single time I don't use Nero, my subtitles just show up as question marks ?? on my home DVD player, and then they won't even load.

It seems like Nero is the only one that burns them right, you know? Like, at least with Nero, an SRT file actually works.

Does Nero Burning ROM offer an option to switch the interface over to American English?

Could you drop the URL where you actually managed to find the 2010 version? As far as I’m aware, the final release was Nero Burning ROM 9.12. Unless, of course, you're playing around with some sort of trial version...???

Actually, that is the 2010 version (v9.12).

The program simply doesn't exist... 9.12 is actually the more advanced and much more powerful version, so the 2010 edition essentially upgrades into 9.12.

What other burning software would you recommend besides Nero or Nero Burning ROM? I am running into constant issues with both of them, and frankly, I am tired of fighting with them. 😢 🙄

I am running Vista Home Premium (32-bit), and I cannot get Nero Burning ROM to launch at all. It keeps throwing a side-by-side configuration error (error code nine); I actually attempted to install version seven previously, but that just triggered an entirely different error message. 😬)
I used to rely on Nero Burning ROM, and for a while, everything seemed perfectly fine. But then, out of nowhere, the software started completely wrecking my DVDs. I decided to install a brand-new version today, hoping for a fix, only to be met with that same infuriating "a 'medium error' occurred" message. Is anyone else dealing with this absolute nonsense? 😕

Did you actually scrub everything out of the registry after deleting Sara's installation?

Are you talking about Nero? Hmm, I didn't... though it gave me just as much grief when I first installed it on my PC.🤷

Hm, that’s strange. Usually, ASB runs on just about anything.

I just downloaded ASB, only to discover that I am certainly not the first person to encounter this exact issue... though I remain utterly baffled as to why this keeps happening. Is it a software glitch, or perhaps some underlying hardware instability? I have attempted to burn multiple different CDs and DVDs, yet the result remains consistently the same: total failure. 😢

I think Nero Burning ROM 2010 is decent enough, but I’m sticking with my trusty old Nero. At this point, it’s just pure muscle memory. 😁
btw, how much disk space does the full version of ABS actually eat up?
