driftingsurfer96 said:Yeah, that’s exactly why I went to see the Vinogradski Expert—everyone kept raving about them. Regarding my doctor and the septoplasty, I have no complaints there. And obviously, there's still a bit of swelling, honey. But this bump... it's something else. I don't even know how to describe it. I originally had a slightly larger nose that just needed some smoothing out, basically just leveling the bridge. But now I actually have this ugly hump, and my nose looks like something out of a horror movie. It feels hard to the touch, too. Like bone. It’s as if someone just glued a protrusion right where there wasn't one before.
I spent all day yesterday in tears, just completely devastated. I'm going to talk to my doctor to see what can be done. If they performed an aesthetic procedure, I feel like I have every right to demand it be fixed if it wasn't done correctly. At least, that's how I see it. I wasn't asking for a nose like Angelin's, but if the plastic surgeon couldn't fix it, he should have said so when my doctor asked, rather than doing this to me.

I had the same experience at the Vinogradski clinic. I went in because of breathing issues—I've been relying on nasal sprays for two years now, I can't function without them—and they sent me straight for septal correction. I asked if they could also do some minor aesthetic work while they were at it. That was my first red flag. My doctor just said, "Sure, no problem. Go see the nurse with your medical records, she'll tell you which tests to bring and set your surgery date. See you then!" I don't know if I've watched too many movies, but I'm not stupid enough to show up on the day of a surgery without ever having spoken to the staff, knowing what exactly will be done to me, or how my nose is going to end up. I expected to sit down with the surgeon and actually discuss the details, but that was zero percent of the process. Reading your post, I realized it's exactly what I was afraid would happen to me. So, I walked away from the Vinogradski Expert... 😢

Alex Moore62... I honestly don't get why you find it so repulsive when someone actually gives credit where credit is due. Like, if I'm scrolling through a forum looking for solid info—which is exactly what I was doing a month ago—I'm not about to drop an extra $1,000 on some amateur like Glumicic. No thanks. I’m going to go where the track record shows they're actually the best. And as for this idiot bringing up some InternetProtocole nonsense? He's just some kid who finally figured out how to use a virtual classroom and now thinks he's some kind of elite hacker. l.a.m.e.

They eventually told me I needed septoplasty, so I asked if they could do a little aesthetic work while they were at it. That’s when the red flags started popping up. My doctor just goes, "Sure, no problem. Just take your medical history to the nurse, she'll tell you which tests to bring in and set the surgery date. See you then!" I don't know if I've watched too many movies or something, but I'm not stupid enough to just show up on the day of a surgery without ever actually speaking to the staff. I have no idea what they plan to do to me, how my nose is going to end up looking, or any of that. I thought I’d actually get to sit down with the surgeon and talk through the details, but apparently, that’s zero chance. When I read your post, I couldn't believe it—it was exactly what I was afraid would happen to me. So yeah, I walked away from that hospital entirely. 😢

Look, it’s really not that big of a deal. You probably just got spooked because of what I posted earlier. You have to realize this isn't some boutique private clinic; the doctors there are absolutely slammed. They don't exactly have the luxury of sitting around for half a day debating the fine details of your nose shape. The doctor who examined you and gave you the diagnosis is the same one performing the surgery—she already gave you the date, didn't she? Obviously, you'll see her again for a pre-op checkup before the actual procedure, but expecting her to carve out an hour just to sit and philosophize about your nose design? That's unrealistic. I’ve been there myself. People are just way too busy.
I’d recommend the Vinogradski Expert to anyone. Most of the doctors and nurses there are actually decent people. What happened to me was a mess, honestly, but thank God I sorted it out. It should get fixed if they don't pull back, and I know I don't need to stress about it.
We all watch way too many American movies and TV shows, so we walk around thinking everyone’s going to drop everything to cater to us the second we step foot in a hospital. There’s really no reason to be paranoid. The surgeon is going to check you out before the procedure and talk you through how things are going to go, but you have to be realistic. They don't have half a day to spend focusing solely on you. It's the same deal at any hospital in the country.

Sure, praise isn't offensive, but let's be real—that wasn't actually a compliment, was it? 🙂
Fortunately, anyone digging through this thread will see the other side of the coin, which is frankly pretty terrifying.

I definitely don't have the patience to scroll through 48 pages looking for the "other side," so if you'd be kind enough to just point it out...?

George Ramos11 said:So, I finally took the mold off this morning—it's been seven days since the actual procedure—and man, the results are more than just "good"... I was peeking around under the tape near my eye, and honestly, I wasn't expecting this kind of work (maybe those nurses have some magic touch or whatever... seriously, it looks wow!)... My nose is absolutely perfect in every way, even considering the swelling and the slight bruising under my eyes.. Basically, I can sum up the whole thing as a super smooth experience that’s been exceeding all my expectations so far... As for Dr. Toncic, he’s an incredibly professional and pleasant guy (same goes for his whole crew), and they just radiate confidence and expertise at every turn... with a healthy dose of humility and, most importantly, a realistic view of things.. To be blunt, my wishes—and then some—were basically manifested through his work without me having to micromanage anything.. It's funny because I didn't try to push my own specific ideas; I just sat back and listened to his expert opinion, and this result is just proof of who the true master of the craft is—and if you ask me, who should be your first choice when picking a plastic surgeon.. Plus, his pricing is easily the most reasonable out there, and let's face it, nobody wants to throw money down the drain when you could save that for a rainy day... so why wouldn't you? Anyway, I'm still a bit stunned because, realistically, I wasn't expecting miracles, especially since nobody bothered to check in on me after the surgery to see how I was doing (clearly, setting high standards has become routine for them!) or how the outcome looked.. I actually convinced myself for a second that maybe they messed something up.. so yeah.. For anyone out there where fear and anxiety are the only things pushing you toward a better look, I genuinely recommend this doctor. The procedure itself was totally painless, and I think I've said enough about him and the clinic staff already..

Hey! I sent you a few PMs before your surgery... I bet your inbox is absolutely slammed right now.

Just sitting here reading through all this and honestly? I'm kind of in awe. 🤮
Toncicev’s counter-intelligence outfit has completely lost the plot—their jealousy has totally stripped them of any sense of proportion. 🙂

Look, Alex Moore62, that was a pretty useless comment. Seriously—anyone scrolling through these boards looking for actual intel on rhinoplasty or trying to get a real sense of what people have actually gone through is getting absolutely zero value from you. All they're walking away with is just your personal opinion... which isn't exactly helpful for someone trying to make an informed decision.
Look, I’ve already said my piece—and honestly, every single time someone comes crawling to me asking about my experience, I’m going to give them the exact same answer. I don't care what you or whatever other skeptics out there think about it... I'm sticking to my guns.
Look, it’s not even close to how you're painting the picture a few lines up—those compliments for Dr. Johnson and his whole crew? Those are coming straight from us, their actual satisfied clients. If you're feeling skeptical, go ahead and fact-check the authenticity of those responses however you want. Go nuts.

Personally, I’d recommend the Vinogradski Expert facility. Both the doctors and most of the nursing staff are genuinely decent. What happened to me was a mess, but thank Bog, I've sorted it out. If it doesn't resolve on its own, it can be fixed, so I know I don't need to worry about it anymore.
We all watch too many American movies and series, thinking everyone will jump to our side the second we walk into a hospital. There's no reason to be afraid. The surgeon will see you before the procedure, talk to you, and explain how everything will go, but you have to be realistic. They aren't going to dedicate half their day to you. It's the same at any hospital...

I'm still going to go with a private specialist regardless. I'll have more peace of mind if I can actually have a decent conversation with the doctor and hear their suggestions. I didn't get scared off by the post; it was just strange seeing exactly what I feared could happen to me play out for someone else. I know how our healthcare system works—it's nothing like what you see on TV. But the fact remains: a doctor at a public hospital can mess up just as easily as one at a private clinic. There are no guarantees that everything will go with flying colors; complications can always arise. Besides, nobody is forcing us to mess with Mother Nature, but once you decide to go through with something like this, you have to accept that there can be negative consequences...

There isn't some magic guarantee that everything will go perfectly; complications can happen anywhere, regardless of the setting.

That is exactly my point... sometimes it really is better to just go with a private provider.👍>

I was actually watching that "Sicko" documentary by M. Moore just the other day—is that the kind of stuff you were thinking about? 🙂

I certainly won't be the one stepping up. Back when I actually cared to know the details and needed the facts, I did the legwork myself. You can do the exact same thing if you actually find it interesting. 😉

I’ve already laid it out, and every single time someone asks about my own journey, I’ll tell them the same thing, regardless of what you or the rest of the skeptics might think...
And it’s not quite the scenario you’re painting a few lines up there; those words praising Dr. Johnson and his entire surgical team are coming directly from us—his satisfied patients. Feel free to verify the authenticity of those responses however you see fit.

You have every right to weigh in on my comment and voice your opinion. Just as I voiced mine in my own post, wouldn't you agree? After all, why would I adopt someone else's perspective? It’s as simple as that.🙂
Long ago, I shared my surgical experiences here on the forum, purely for the benefit and information of everyone involved.
Interestingly enough, it’s fascinating to watch how all you "satisfied clients" always seem to conveniently forget—or perhaps just flat-out ignore—the experiences of those who weren't quite as happy with their results. I make sure to post those here as well.

Maybe try thinking for a second before you start typing next time. You can't seriously expect—even if it were physically possible—that someone is going to sit down and summarize 49 pages of diverse personal anecdotes, not to mention another 21 pages dedicated specifically to the Septoplasty thread, just for you.
Like I’ve already said, I’m more than happy to be helpful, and I shared my own surgical experience with this community ages ago; I was grateful for the stories others posted that helped me through, and I’ve spent plenty of time answering endless questions and clearing up doubts via private message for those who needed it.
If you actually want answers, the solution is simple: stop being lazy and start reading. No one else can do that heavy lifting for you.

What is wrong with you? Who hurt you? Stop acting superior and lecturing everyone; you're getting on my nerves. I have zero intention of arguing with someone who seems to have a grudge against the entire community. I was polite enough to you, so just drop it. Maybe take a look at yourself before you start judging everyone else...

I'm with you on this! Let's skip the hostility and the bad vibes. Remember, we're all posting here to help others and provide detailed answers to whatever people are curious about... but now having someone tell me they "can't be bothered" to read, yet still expects a custom write-up... it's just not a great look.🤷

Anyone who actually cares will go through every single page.
Best, 🙂

I have absolutely no interest in getting into a shouting match with someone who seems to harbor a grudge against every single person on this forum. Look, regarding what you wrote and commented—I was perfectly polite to you, so please, just enough. Maybe take a look at yourself before you start handing out judgments to everyone else.

Grow up, kid. And please, try to actually think before you start typing or opening your mouth. Don't do it for my sake, or for the sake of anyone else reading or listening to you; do it for yourself. That way, even if you aren't actually there yet, you might at least come across as more mature and composed.
If you've grown accustomed to having everything handed to you on a silver platter without lifting a finger, you should know that life rarely stays that easy forever.
Since you've decided to jump into a discussion on an American forum, you might as well learn how to actually hold one. Throwing tantrums, being crude, and letting spoiled outbursts fly isn't a debate. It won't get you anywhere, and it certainly won't help you navigate the real world. Besides, karma tends to circle back eventually.
Don't bother replying; I've seen quite enough to understand where you're coming from, and frankly, it's a bit tragic. But it's never too late to pause, reflect, and decide to be a better version of yourself.
Best of luck.

I went through a deviated septum surgery and I wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole ever again. This wasn't about aesthetics; it was purely functional, and even then, it was a failure. I don't want to scare anyone off, but I am never going through that again. It was a nightmare because they performed the whole thing under local anesthesia. They were chatting away to me during the procedure while I sat there, completely unable to move—it was incredibly unsettling. In the end, it turns out the surgery wasn't even necessary because the issue was just a severe allergic reaction. They actually suggested a turbinate reduction next!!!!! After a heavy course of corticosteroids, my problem is finally solved. I’m sleeping like a baby now, and the last thing I want to do is go under the knife again. Life has already cut me deep enough...
