Sorry Jasmin you, in my opinion, you shouldn't have gone under the knife for a nose job🤷, I've always found men with smaller noses quite amusing; the more pronounced the features, the more masculine the man seems to me🙂🙂. But if you're happy with the result, then fine😉.🙂

There’s just something about them—the more expressive the features, the more "manly" they strike me. It’s a weird thing, I know, but that’s just my take.🙂🙂Well, if you're happy with it, then hey, that's great. Super.😉🙂

😕 In my opinion, he was actually the right candidate for the surgery.

Oh, thanks so much!🙂

Personally, I think the results are great too... the nose looks solid; it isn't too small, and the shape actually fits a man's face quite well.👍

And if you ask me, everyone with those little quirks just needs one solid reality check and to be kicked out for good. 👍

So, I just got back from my consultation with Dr. Smith... and let me tell you, I was floored when he dropped this on me: "Well, you're actually missing half the cartilage in your nose." The guy was genuinely shocked! As for me? Honestly, I'm speechless. I just stared at him and asked, "What does that even mean?" And he explains that he has to take some cartilage from the back of my nasal passage (somewhere deep inside) just to give the nose some structural integrity. He basically said it’s like having a roof but absolutely no foundation—it’s just sitting there, ready to collapse because there's nothing holding it up. I went in all prepared to ask about different shapes and styles, and instead, for the first time ever, someone tells me, "Whoa, hold on—you don't even have half a nose." What am I even supposed to say to that? I was busy planning a surgery for aesthetics, all while nobody had bothered to mention—or even notice—this until now! Long story short... if any random surgeon had opened me up without catching this, I have no idea what would've happened to me or my nose. You really need a top-tier ENT specialist for this. And if you can find a plastic surgeon who works well with an ENT? That’s the absolute gold standard. Anyway, guys, I'm a total wreck right now—"upset" doesn't even cover it. But hey, thanks to everyone here for everything you write; being able to double-check things like this is the only way we actually get somewhere. Cheers to everyone!

I just sat there staring at him, asking what on earth that meant... and then he explains that he has to take cartilage from the back of the nasal passage (somewhere deep inside) just to give the nose some structural support. He basically said it’s like having a roof but absolutely no foundation; it’s just sitting there, or rather, falling because there's nothing to hold it up. I had gone in all prepared to ask about different shapes and styles, and then, for the first time ever, someone just tells me, "Whoa, hold on—you don't even have half a nose." I mean, what am I even supposed to say? I was planning an entire surgery based on aesthetics and shape, and yet nobody had mentioned this to me, nor had anyone even noticed until now! Long story short... if any surgeon had opened me up without knowing this, I don't even want to think about what would have happened to me or my nose. This really needs to be an ENT specialist—and I mean a top-tier specialist. And if you can find a plastic surgeon who works alongside them, then you're looking at the absolute best of the best. Anyway, dear friends, I am completely beside myself—to say the least. But if nothing else, thank you all for everything you write here, because it's only through these discussions that we can double-check things, which is ultimately what leads us to the truth. Sending love to everyone.
Hey, I dealt with the exact same thing. I had my surgery done by Tončić, and he told me during my consultation that while he could lift and shorten the tip, there was absolutely nothing to hold it in place because I was missing half the cartilage, which is why it kept drooping... it was the same initial reaction. 😕 But since I was also getting a hump removed from the bridge, he took that extra tissue he removed and "reconstructed" it into the tip so it would actually stay put.

But hey, thanks to everyone posting here. This is the only way we can double-check things and actually figure out what's going on. Peace to everyone!
Bome, that is wild... 😁 I'm honestly so glad you went to that consultation... it would've been incredibly stupid not to, especially since you're living right there... you had nothing to lose... only everything to gain... and well... looks like you definitely gained something. 😉

Kate Taylor59 said:Man, I am seriously torn here... it's a toss-up between Baker or Smith.🤷😕

Man, that is a tough call. Honestly? My best advice is to go grab consultations with both of them. Just sit down, talk it out, and see which one actually clicks with you—you know, that gut feeling where you just feel like they "get" you. While you're at it, do your homework: dig through their portfolios and look at their previous work. See whose style actually resonates with what you're looking for. I can't give you any smarter advice than that, seriously. 🤣

No offense, but this whole promotional thing is kind of hilarious. First rustygardener172 brings up some German guy, then the very next day, that same German guy shows up on the Forum to comment. 🤦 Honestly, how many people are they paying just to lurk on the Smith thread? 😂

Anyway, I’m with Jasmin regarding Smith and how he carries himself—he really took good care of me back then. 😬 I know everyone on here talks about him being cranky and blah blah blah, but when it comes to working on your nose, he’s actually quite gentle. Just what a "plant" like me needs. I also got creams, ointments, wraps, even some pills (which were actually just for my cold) and so on.

Of course, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows, but that’s more about the final results of the surgery... so I'm staying cautious and waiting to see if anything actually changes. 🤷

I agree, but I'm based in Rijeka, so Makarska is "a bit" of a trek...

Look, if I were you, I'd hit up Baker first... honestly, all I ever hear about him is good stuff. If his vibe just "clicks" with you, then boom, you're set! But if it doesn't feel right, then head over to Smith. Fingers crossed that one works out better for you—either way, it'll probably be 😁 easier on your wallet...

stormyharbor2 said:No offense intended, but I can't help but laugh at this blatant advertising attempt. First, rustygardener172 brings up some guy from Germany, then, like clockwork, that same German shows up on the Forum the very next day to drop comments. It's honestly pretty hilarious how transparent that is. 🤦 Seriously, how many people did they have to hire just to sit around and lurk on this thread about Smith?😂

Was that directed at me or him? Honestly, I can't believe anyone would think it was aimed at me—I’ve never had any interest in playing promoter for anyone. I just write based on my own lived experience. If I stepped on anyone's toes or if someone took my words the wrong way, I really am sorry about that.
Another guy actually chimed in earlier about having great experiences with Smith... and honestly, believe it or not, we actually ran into each other in the waiting room during one of our appointments. 😁 Look, the guy is clearly serious business and probably doesn't have the patience to sit around debating with all of us here on the Forum... he just dropped his story, laid out exactly what happened, and dipped. If he happens to drift back this way, I just want to send a shout-out his way and say I really hope his recovery has been smooth sailing. 👍 I honestly can’t even wrap my head around the idea that Jasmin is some kind of paid advertisement... I mean, why on earth would he be? The guy is genuinely happy with his results. And honestly, I bet you’re just playing nice because you want to be satisfied too, so you’re out here singing his praises to anyone who will listen. You used to be all over this Forum, constantly posting and staying active, but then ever since your surgery, you basically went off the grid. It’s pretty obvious to me that you aren't actually 100% thrilled with how things turned out... but hey, I'll give you credit where it's due—it’s incredibly classy of you not to start trashing him immediately.
I honestly, truly hope that once all that swelling finally dies down, your nose ends up looking much closer to what you actually went in for. I'm crossing my fingers for you!

Because he jumped right into the thread just as you mentioned him... 😬 Honestly, I don't care if someone's coming from Germany, the US, North Mexico, or Romania—it makes no difference to me. People come here because it's more affordable, and they can find surgeons who do a job just as well as anyone in a highly developed country like the States. No offense intended, but I've mentioned before that I have a real aversion to certain things—you know, the constant advertising, people acting clueless, trying to force an opinion on you... all that stuff. It just really gets under my skin... 🤣

You used to be all over this Forum—pretty active, too... but then everything went quiet after your surgery. It’s pretty obvious you aren't exactly thrilled with how things turned out... but honestly, it’s really classy of you not to start trashing him immediately.
I honestly hope that once all the swelling finally goes down, your nose ends up looking much closer to what you were actually aiming for. Fingers crossed...

True. Thanks. 😘

I'm with you on that, especially since they actually have photos to back it up.
Maybe once I finally feel like myself again—you know, after I get my nose sorted and finish getting all dolled up for the first time following my surgery—I might just write my own little "ode to success" too. 🤣
