Ashley Young34 said:That’s really up to your doctor to decide—they’re the experts on which specific technique will actually work for you—but honestly, about 95% of these procedures are done using the closed technique anyway... 🙂

If I pull the trigger on this, I'm heading straight to Branko Glušac—and apparently, he does everything behind closed doors...

It feels a little sketchy to me that his website claims these procedures are painless and that you’ll "go home without any bruising or swelling"... because let's be real—everyone ends up with swelling and bruises afterward... 😁

And then there's this part too...

You really have to insist on an internal incision—we're talking a closed technique here. If you go the open route, you’re looking at a nose tip that might not settle for one to three years... and nobody wants that.

Anyway, he claims to have developed this specific technique he calls "nasal memory surgery." I tried Googling it, and all I get is the exact same sentence—only it's in English and it's actually referring to some other surgeon...
If you're looking at facial plastic surgery, Geoffrey W. Tobias M. d. is the guy to watch—he actually specializes in Rhinoplasty. He’s basically pioneered this whole "un-nose job" concept... you know, the kind where you can't even tell someone had work done. He pulled it off by developing this totally revolutionary technique called "nasal memory surgery." It's pretty wild...

Plastic surgeon Branko Glušac—the specialist you go to for Rhinoplasty—just came up with this whole "nose job" concept where it actually looks like you haven't even had work done. To pull that off, he developed this revolutionary new technique he's calling "nasal memory surgery"...

Who exactly is copying whom here?...😕

He also says this:

...these surgeries really are painless. But saying you won't have bruising? I wouldn't bet on that. At least not for me. Everything is different for everyone, I guess. In my case, they had to deal with broken bones, so obviously there was going to be some reaction.😍
Even after surgery, the pain is gone.🙂
...as for open techniques, I don't want to act like an expert since I haven't tried it. Let someone who actually went through it weigh in. All I know is that surgeons here in the States don't typically use that method.😁

Picture this: you have a vision of the perfect nose for your face, even though reality tells a completely different story. Then, you visit Dr. Glusca, and instead of just meeting your expectations, he delivers something even more stunning—a profile that fits your features perfectly and is fully functional.
The dear man told me when we met: You truly ARE the "king of noses."

This one is for anyone still on the fence.
It’s been 10 days since my surgery, and you can see the results for yourself. I underwent a full reconstruction (including a septoplasty, naturally) along with reduction.
I decided on Dr. Glusca after doing some online research to get a general sense of the rhinoplasty surgeons practicing here in the States.
I didn't bother with consultations elsewhere because once I know what I'm looking for, I recognize it immediately.
I later noticed some people making comments about Dr. Glusca's personality or appearance (complaining about him being unshaven, blah, blah...). In my view, those critiques come from people with misplaced priorities—they seem more concerned with whether the doctor is "cool" enough to grab a beer with than whether they are receiving top-tier (septo)rhinoplasty.
I usually stick to my rule of never posting on forums (and I don't spend much time reading them either), but I felt compelled to break it to share my satisfaction with anyone who thinks there's no hope for their nose.

My partner saw me and said: You really ARE the "nose queen."

They don't know if they're here for elite (septo)rhinoplasty or to judge whether the doctor would be a good roommate. Their focus is totally off.
I usually avoid posting on forums (and I don't read them much either), but I had to break my rule to share this with everyone who thinks their nose is hopeless.

...it would be great if you posted some before and after photos for the indecisive ones😍

Greeneyes, you there? ☕ Send some photos over, or let's just jump on Skype. 🤣

I’m still stuck on why the "media" section on Glušca's site is basically a carbon copy of what this American doctor has posted. Who actually came up with this "nasal memory surgery" thing first—is he copying him, or what? I mean, there's really no reason to lie about stuff like that... 😕 Now I'm feeling unsure again.

I’m still stuck on why the "media" section on Branko Glušac's site looks identical to what some American doctor has posted. Who actually came up with this "nasal memory surgery" nonsense, and who’s just ripping off whom? I mean, is it even necessary to lie about stuff like that? 😕 Now I'm second-guessing everything again.

You're really splitting hairs over nothing here... Branko Glušac was in the States... who knows... maybe he worked alongside that doctor 🙂 and travels all over the world for seminars... Maybe he thinks he was the first to start doing this in America, while this other guy might be based in the US... honestly, people all over the world try to claim credit for everything...
...either way, you're just giving yourself a headache for no reason.

As for those open vs. closed techniques... The open method was the original way noses were operated on. The closed technique is the newer approach; nobody used to operate like that before. Now, the closed method has become the standard practice, while the open one is mostly reserved for more complex cases. There’s a good reason the open method was replaced by the closed one... recovery is way easier, there aren't visible scars, and look, I'm just rambling now because I'm clearly not some medical expert capable of dropping hard facts—just like that girl claiming the open technique is better. 😁
But seriously... it's like asking... Why would anyone opt for invasive surgery to remove a kidney stone when there's a chance to just blast it away with ultrasound technology?! Medicine moves forward every single day. People hunt for better ways to do things, and old techniques get left in the rearview mirror... except in extreme circumstances.
At the end of the day, we're all just sitting here crossing our fingers. Once we're laid out on that operating table, we can only hope the surgery goes well, regardless of which specific technique they decide to use on us. 😂

Does anyone happen to know what the typical cost is for a Rhinoplasty with Branko Glušac? I’m looking at something quite straightforward, nothing overly complicated. I checked his website, but there isn't a price list posted, and I haven't had a chance to comb through everything here yet. Since I'm based in Miami, he's the most convenient option for me.

When it comes to picking a surgeon who’s basically going to be restructuring my entire face—since my case is way more intense than most of you—I’m going to be obsessing over every single tiny detail. And honestly? I think I have every right to be that picky...

Who knows... maybe he worked with that doctor...

It’s just an identical sentence—only written in English... 🤣 It’s no small thing to claim you invented something that was actually cooked up by another doctor. I don't know who handled his website design—they could have at least had the decency to rewrite a single sentence... 🤷

He’s constantly flying around the world for these seminars... Maybe he thinks he was the one who pioneered this whole thing back home, or maybe he thinks he's some big shot over in the States... Honestly, everyone everywhere claims they invented the wheel...

I know, I know. I’ve read the whole thing—it literally says right there that he made the whole thing up...

In any case, you're just giving yourself an unnecessary headache...

Should I just suck it up and swallow the lies because I'm too passive... maybe... 🥳 😁 I'm just the type of person who needs to dig through everything and get all the facts straight before I even consider making a move. Cheap little hacks don't work on me... 🤷 Anyway, I already said I'm going to go in for the talk, so we'll just have to see how things play out...😉

Thanks, stormyharbor2. I’ve actually decided to go with Branko Glušac instead of Tonči. All I really need is a straightforward, simple 👍 Rhinoplasty. To me, Branko Glušac seems like the most reliable choice; everyone seems to be raving about him, and I really love his website layout.

We aren't just mindless followers here blindly accepting everything as gospel. We actually use our heads, and more importantly, we leverage the internet to do our homework before committing to something as sensitive as Rhinoplasty. We definitely put a lot of thought into choosing a surgeon. stormyharbor2 did a fantastic job showing how some surgeons might be underestimating us. Honestly, it makes me wonder who was actually copying whom—Amer Glusca or Glusca Amer? 🙂 What really trips me up is how Glusca’s "patients" constantly insist on certain facts that, if you take a quick second to Google them, you'll see are contradicted by almost every other reputable medical site out there.

I’d probably lean toward Glušac between those two as well, just based on one simple fact: his noses are what I like best 😁 Every single one looks different and actually fits the face he's working on. Tončić’s results still look kind of oversized to me after surgery, though maybe that’s just what his patients are asking for... 🤷

Look, I'm not bashing Glušac, so there's no need to defend him. I'm just using some common sense—I want to know if he's actually as perfect as everyone claims, or if it's all just marketing. Go ahead and kill me then, because I want—no, I *need*—to know everything before it's too late and I'm already under the knife. 🙂

🤣

Exactly, this isn't something you can just breeze through without thinking; we're talking about someone's face here, and there's nothing trivial about that. You really need to do your homework before even considering a dentist, let alone an aesthetic surgeon 👍

Apparently, some people here totally took me the wrong way?!
Look, all I care about is how the doctor actually does the job, not what some random person writes about him online. You can find gossip about anyone on the internet. But when you see real, happy people standing right in front of you, breathing perfectly fine and rocking gorgeous noses... the whole debate over who typed what first just becomes irrelevant.
If you’re being so incredibly nitpicky that you're still obsessing over this... good luck to you! Let us know what you "discover" 😉 but honestly... being that petty isn't exactly a trait worth bragging about... especially when we're talking about your face. It’s always the perfectionists who finish their first surgery, find one tiny little thing they didn't expect, and then run off to get a second one... then they start nitpicking again... then they're already dreaming about a third... a fourth... a fifth... 😁

And don't even try telling me I didn't do my homework before picking my surgeon! I learned my lesson the hard way once, so now I over-analyze everything. That was my second surgery—and it wasn't because I was being picky, it was because the first one failed functionally; I was breathing like an elephant with a sinus infection. And hey... I got lucky... or maybe I was just smart... whatever you want to call it... the second one was a total success! I truly don't give a damn if he copied a sentence from another doctor, because that doesn't change the fact that he did a stellar job and gave me the relief I feel every single day! 🙏

Uhhhh, maybe you totally misunderstood what I meant? This info is literally on his official website, not some tabloid rag. I mean, an official site—or sites, in this case—is the first place anyone would look if they have internet access. What's weird about that? Besides, I searched for "nasal memory surgery" and the exact same sentence from his site popped up on another surgeon's page.

rustygardener172 said:Being nitpicky isn't exactly a trait worth bragging about... regardless of whether we're talking about your face. It's always those nitpicky people who finish their first surgery only to find one tiny detail that isn't quite what they expected...

Yeah—I am nitpicky, I'm a perfectionist, and *especially* so when it comes to my own face. I don't want some fake plastic nose; I want the shape I had before I broke it, just symmetrical. If wanting that is being difficult or demanding the impossible, then I don't know what to tell some people.
Most people here are just fixing minor things, tips, etc. I guess that makes them nitpickers, but if they've already decided to go through with it and shell out huge amounts of money, they have every right to demand what they want... assuming it's even doable. 🤷 🙂

so they just go to someone else... and keep nitpicking... and then start thinking about a third... then a fourth... a fifth... 😁

No way. 😁 Branko Glušac only gets one shot at this with me. If he messes up, I'm stuck like this forever because I don't have the cash for a second doctor.

But nobody is going to tell me I haven't done enough research before deciding which doctor to go with! I've been burned once before, so now I'm being extra cautious.

Good for you. I honestly don't know what I'd think if that happened to me. I already trust Glušac when it comes to the functional side of the surgery—that's actually one of the main reasons I want him despite everything. I need someone who handles both aesthetics and functionality at the same time.

You people are something else! Talk about a complete shift in focus—instead of obsessing over achieving the perfect Rhinoplasty, we're suddenly dissecting copyright issues. I suppose analyzing intellectual property provides more satisfaction than a beautiful nose? I only got worked up because I wanted to share my joy and hopefully pass some of that happiness on to you, but clearly... it missed the mark.

Just so you know, consultations with Branko Glušac last as long as you need them to. You have plenty of time to question everything and receive expert, thorough, and direct answers.
I had made up my mind about him well in advance and didn't intend to overthink things, but in the end, we ended up talking for nearly two hours—time simply flew by!

stormyharbor2;29906858 said: Yeah, it’s probably best if I just let it go and accept whatever lies are told because I'm too laid back. Lies? Are these really lies? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCrNXzU1frQ

If even this doesn't convince you, then don't waste the man's time. A massive number of patients eventually end up in his chair specifically to fix what another doctor botched.
Even if I had to give back the time I spent, I would go back to him and do it all over again.
I should have just used the username "Reborn" here.
Life is beautiful!!!!!:👍😁

Hey Matthew Turner4!
Seriously, why the sudden outburst?? You seem so happy! Usually, people who are actually content don't get this worked up over nothing.
Why are you trying to shut down other people here just because they have a critical eye or their own take on things?
Since when did it become okay to insult us for having an opinion?
Are we all suddenly "bitter competitors" just because we're skeptical of these over-the-top, glowing reviews?
Should we just stay quiet and pretend everything is fine when we realize a surgeon is taking credit for someone else's work?
Are you aware that intellectual property is a massive deal? In the USA, claiming someone else's work is a serious offense that carries real consequences.
In your book, is stealing credit for another surgeon's procedures considered professional or ethical behavior?

..everyone’s entitled to their own choice. You should do your homework and vet whatever surgeon you're thinking about. To me, this stuff about Greeneyes feels like a straight-up ad. Sorry, but we all get a say in this. My choice was Dr. Ostojić, and that doesn't mean everyone else has to follow suit. Just because he did a good job for me doesn't mean he's the right fit for everyone else. So, quit trying to shove these ads down our throats.☕

What’s the deal with John Newman2? I’m dying to know how her nose is coming along...

Anyway, is anyone else watching Dr.90210? It's that American reality show about plastic surgery—I catch it whenever it's on since they air it constantly. One thing I noticed right away is that they seem to use the open technique for every single nose job on there. I haven't seen a single case where the surgeon—and there's a rotating cast of them—didn't lift the skin, regardless of whether the surgery was easy or hard. It's kind of throwing me off...

Here is what Dr. Ostojić says (taken from his site)
Cosmetic rhinoplasty can be performed using either "closed" or "open" techniques—also known as decortication. At the Ostojić clinic, we perform the vast majority of nasal corrections—about 95%—using the "closed" technique, because we believe most aesthetic issues can be resolved this way. With the closed technique, all surgical incisions are placed inside the nostrils and the upper vestibule, leaving no external scarring. Achieving an excellent aesthetic result requires significant surgical manual skill to navigate a cramped, low-visibility operative field, combined with extensive experience (at the Ostojić clinic, we have performed approximately 1,400 different nasal procedures), to ensure perfection.

The "open" technique is indicated for particularly severe tip deformities or noses that have undergone multiple previous surgeries or trauma, making a successful outcome impossible via the "closed" approach. The open technique leaves a tiny V-shaped scar at the junction where the columella meets the upper lip. Also, swelling at the tip lasts longer with the open technique than the closed one, depending mostly on the specific skin type of the tip.

So, you only use the open technique for traumatized or previously operated noses just to get a better view? 🤷 Then everyone on Dr.90210 must have been totally traumatized then! 😁 I mean, it's possible, but it still feels weird to me—I haven't seen that famous "closed" technique used even once on the show.
