At first glance, the whole premise just reminded me of "Green card." The Proposal is completely predictable and lacks any real surprises. The movie starts out fine enough, but then everything just goes downhill from there. Even if the actors wanted to give it their all, they were held back by a pretty weak script.

Yes, the movies "Green Card" and this one share almost identical themes. To be honest, there were genuine doubts about how this film would turn out. However, thanks to the sheer determination of the screenwriters, the director, and the entire crew, it has become a massive success! What was it specifically about the beginning of the movie that made you feel like the rest of it didn't hold up?

A pleasant little flick for those sweltering summer days. It’s nothing more than that, really. As for a Green card, this movie isn't even in the same league.

Just watched the movie... honestly, it was just okay. A > American rom-com... full of stereotypes. Does anyone know of any similar comedies?

I just finished watching it and man, I have to say, the comedy was absolutely phenomenal. It’s such a light, hilarious ride without being exhausting at all—huge props to Sandra Bullock, she honestly blew me away! 👍

Watched a movie recently—didn't exactly choose to, but I ended up seeing it 🙂. It’s decent enough; honestly, I couldn't decide if the guy or the girl was more attractive 😍. It features some genuinely hilarious moments and avoids being one of those overly sugary, cliché romantic comedies you usually see playing at the local AMC 🙂

Honestly, I actually loved it when I watched it the other day. Just let your brain turn off, have a good laugh, and soak up those cheesy vibes 😳

Jonathan Collins43 said:Honestly, this movie is lightyears ahead of that absolute garbage, The Hangover. I still can't wrap my head around how people thought that film was actually funny back in 2009—it was just totally devoid of any real humor and honestly pretty terrible.

Look, I gotta say this because I just can't let it slide—this whole take is totally off base. Honestly, Hangover is easily one of the funniest movies we've seen in years, if it isn't straight-up the best comedy out there right now! Don't get me wrong, Forced Marriage is a blast and holds its own, but it doesn't even come close to topping Hangover! 🙂

Quick question for you guys—I watched the movie without subtitles and I think I missed the point of the ending. Didn't the guy say they can't afford to miss a single question? Or am I tripping?
Is it just me, or was Sandra Bullock getting everything wrong?😕

And that whole scene with the old lady doing that weird dance for Mother America...🤣
That bit at the very end of the song, that specific rhythm... does anyone know what track that actually is?🙂

It’s a perfectly decent movie. But I find it quite curious how the opening post labels Hangover as absolute garbage while treating this one like some kind of cinematic masterpiece...😂

It was an okay movie—I just finished watching it. It's true that anyone could probably predict the ending; it’s your typical flick for the hopeless romantics. Regardless, it was a nice way to pass the time during this rainy day.

I should probably add—just realized this now—that a regular hangover simply doesn't compare to this situation!!

This could’ve been way better, honestly, though I guess it works fine if you're just looking to kill an evening. It’s pretty predictable, lacks any real momentum, and some of the scenes felt super forced. That said, Sandra Bullock is gorgeous, and I’ve always liked Ryan Reynolds, so I can live with it. 6/10

The movie is pretty solid—though I don't really agree with the editor saying Hangover is garbage.

It's a decent enough movie... but let's be real, since The Hangover was supposed to be a total BUM, it kind of missed the mark.
And Sandra Bullock is great...

The absolute highlight has to be that scene with the guy doing the lightning dance at the bachelorette party. 🤣
Honestly, a stripper like that is easily the best part of the entire movie.

I also have to say, I’m really digging Sandra Bullock’s whole power-woman aesthetic in this—it definitely works for her. 😍

This movie is incredibly engaging and easy to watch; I actually found myself really liking it. In my opinion, casting Sandra Bullock was a total win. It’s got plenty of strengths and very few flaws. Honestly, it's a perfect pick for a Friday night in with your partner.😛

I’m still working my way through the movie, but honestly, I am loving it so far. Perhaps it’s just because I’m feeling a bit emotionally raw right now, but even though romantic comedies aren't usually my thing, this one is actually fantastic.😍

EDIT: I just finished it. While the ending felt somewhat predictable, it was still incredibly well-executed. It definitely managed to pull at my heartstrings and move me to tears...😬
