That’s interesting... the description for the "Pregnancy" subforum says it's "for pregnant women and those who feel that way."
Honestly, none of us struggling to conceive "feel" that way. If anything, it feels even worse after a failed attempt when we come here to find support from women who actually get it, only to be greeted by news of someone else's pregnancy or a new baby... maybe it’s not "wrong," but it's only human to feel absolutely miserable after a loss.
And I doubt most pregnant women—especially those who conceived easily or just had a "surprise"—actually care about how stretchy our cervical mucus is or if we've hit our ovulation peak or when to have sex... 🤷
Plus, like Jerry Sanchez53 said, no matter what info you're hunting for, you either can't find it because it's buried in the one thread that hasn't been locked yet, or it's buried on page 567,899!
Every time there's a new baby, a whole new thread gets started. By that logic, shouldn't we be allowed to start a new thread every single time we see a positive test?
Then, if you lock those threads, it just feels like you're being unfair, totally insensitive to those of us dealing with real struggles, or honestly, just plain hateful. 😛

Sure, you could. You’re welcome to start threads about infertility, IVF, hormone levels, or whatever else. Go right ahead. It really comes down to how the moderators choose to run the section; just talk to them and see if you can get them to standardize the rules if you feel they aren't being fair.

You could also head over to ZZ and ask someone when their hormones are being tested or what the process looks like for insemination.

I suspect that argument doesn't quite hold water... because, by that same logic, one could just as easily argue that pregnant women shouldn't be visiting RiD to ask how their labor is progressing, yet they constantly start new threads instead.

Following that logic, we might as well have separate PDFs for wedding seasons or local elections from back in the day. We could just keep making individual files for stocks, funds, banks, insurance companies, loans, agriculture, soap factories, Star Trek, Star Wars, hair, decorative cosmetics, skincare, and natural cosmetics... Honestly, if all those trivial little things get their own dedicated PDF, I don't see why a massive, serious issue like infertility can't have one too!
I mean, you can't seriously tell me that every single type of nail, hair, and skin product can't just be grouped together under one single PDF titled "cosmetics"
