Laura Castillo7 said:I honestly think every plastic surgeon does that. They just got ahead of themselves, so I don't think what you're dealing with is actually a big deal.

That’s exactly what scares me... that it might snap. I'm being too confident, maybe there's too much crunchiness involved, and I'll end up looking like Lil' Kim. That's why I'm hunting for someone who actually has experience dealing with bulbous tips.
And does the mold go over the entire nose, or what? I can't exactly twist just the tip... right?

By the way—I have this idea that they shave that muscle in the mouth so the reconstructed nose doesn't shift later and become even more unstable than the original. Because, you know, it's pretty ugly when it moves while you're talking, yeah right.

And if that's the case, does the mold go over the entire nose or what? It’s not like I can just twist the tip alone... I assume.

By the way—I suspect they shave down that muscle in the mouth so it doesn't destabilize the nose later on, making it even more fragile than the original. And let's be honest—it looks terrible when it shifts while you're talking, yeah right.

It won't happen, just be incredibly clear about exactly what you want. Look up their work online first and pick the surgeon whose style you actually like.

Where's everyone at who went under the knife for a nose job?
How’s it going—how are you all holding up? Now that some time has passed, are you actually happy with the new look?

How is everyone doing? Time flies—are you actually satisfied with your new noses?

I’ve had my nose done myself—what specifically are you looking to find out? So far, things are fine, though we’ll have to see how the long-term results settle.

I know, I've read through everything—honestly, lost count of how many times.
The thing is, I just want to make sure everything is cool. Nobody’s posted in forever, and I’ve got that interview with Ostojic this coming Monday.

It’s been six months since my surgery, so now I'm wondering—how much more is my nose actually going to change over the next six months?

Man, my nose changed so much during those first 6 months, but now that I'm at month 7, I can honestly say this past single month has seen more changes than all the previous 6 months combined—and trust me, it’s definitely for the better.😁

Adam Johnson said:Hey, so why did they break your nose?
Man, my back is just absolutely trashed... honestly, it feels like there’s this weird little bump sticking out now, too. It’s super distracting. It doesn't even feel like bone, it just feels like some random lump of meat or something. Just total chaos down there.🙄
It’s been about a month and a half since my surgery went down... and honestly, I'm just crossing my fingers that this hump finally disappears. At least that's what the doctor told me would happen.
They didn't even bother doing any kind of indentation for me either...

I don't think they were actually breaking it. It sounds more like they just slice off that little part of the nose—you know, the bridge—with a scalpel, and then they just reset the bone afterward. 🙂

Thanks! You totally made my day!🙂 So, which surgeon did you go with?

Why exactly are you looking for more changes? Is there something about the current result you aren't happy with—what's the issue?

wearynomad88 said:thanks so much! you totally made my day!🙂 so, who did you go to for your surgery?

I actually went to the Arcadia clinic in San Diego and saw Dr. Bojan Ignatovski.
Most doctors will tell you that getting back to 100% takes about 6 to 12 months.
That whole timeline includes things like the nose slimming down and all that swelling finally going away, etc. 🙂

It’s not exactly perfectly straight. There's this little bump right on the tip... my doctor told me it just needs more time to settle, but honestly, I'm starting to doubt him since it's been almost six months already!

How long has that been there? Did it show up right away, or did it develop later on? Also, if you feel it—is it hard or soft to the touch?

It honestly seems to me that most of you end up with some kind of bump or irregularity following surgery. I believe someone mentioned earlier that these occur because of bone fractures during the procedure, so now I’m genuinely curious about what happens when it's just simple grinding without any actual bone breakage; do those bumps still show up in that scenario?

hi,
just wanted to check in since I'm new here. I had my nose job about 10 days ago with Dr. Toncic and honestly? I’m thrilled (though after seeing some of you post about bumps appearing later, I was definitely feeling a bit skeptical).

I used to have that classic "Greek profile" but with a nose that was just too big, so after overthinking it for what felt like a century, I finally pulled the trigger on surgery. Looking back, I don't regret it one bit.

There's still some swelling and a little yellowish bruising under my eyes, but my face looks softer now—it actually makes me look younger,😉(which is a huge deal when you're a woman in her thirties!)

I picked Dr. Toncic after doing a massive deep dive online. I wanted someone experienced, an ENT specialist working in a top-tier local clinic who doesn't just give everyone the exact same nose. Their website looked great, the consultation went perfectly, and I loved the vibe of the office, so I booked my slot for the following month right then and there.

The procedure was over before I knew it. There was a little sting while they applied the local anesthetic in my nose, and even though I was mostly awake during the surgery, I didn't feel a single thing. Seriously, nothing.

I headed home that same afternoon and was totally caught off guard by how much of a massive cast they put on my face! I was expecting maybe some bandages over the bridge, but they went full coverage from my forehead down to my chin.😕

But listen, what happened that first night actually made me realize why those heavy-duty bandages are necessary. I managed to smack my newly operated nose incredibly hard against the wooden edge of my bed frame.😲 😲

Oh my god, the pure panic! For a second there, I swear I saw my nose sitting on top of my forehead.😢

Anyway, I called the doctor first thing in the morning. He was super calming and told me these things happen—that's exactly why they immobilize the nose so heavily in the first place. He told me not to worry, but obviously, I was freaking out until they finally took the cast off and I could see my beautiful new nose.

So yeah, I spent so much time reading people's stories on sites like this before my surgery, so I figured I’d post this to pay it forward. Hopefully, my experience helps someone else out.
cheers, let me know if you have any questions!👋

I’ve got this prominent hump on my nose that honestly drives me crazy, and I’m desperate to finally get rid of it. The catch is that I won't even turn 17 until July. I’ve already dropped the hint to my parents that I want to go under the knife once I hit that milestone, but they all just dismiss me, calling me foolish and insisting there’s nothing wrong with my appearance. Since my brother works over at a local clinic near Chicago, he mentioned that if I’m truly serious about this, he might be able to pull some strings and get it handled through his connections—basically, the medical paperwork would just list a deviated septum, but in reality, we’d be looking at a full rhinoplasty 🙂. However, we haven't actually sat down to discuss it in quite some time, so he probably only brought it up to pacify my obsession with straightening my profile.

From what I’ve gathered, the recovery process is a bit of a marathon; specifically, the period it takes for the facial swelling to actually subside, which means you can't really expect the puffiness to vanish before summer hits.

I am definitely going through with this, just not right this second 😢 because school is currently my priority. Even though if someone walked in today and offered to fix it, I’d jump at the chance without a second thought, I still have to play the waiting game 👎

slyjackal14, honestly, I’d say give it about 10 to 15 days before your face is totally back to normal—no swelling or bruising left. Your nose might still look a tiny bit puffy, but not enough for anyone else to even notice, just you.

Does anyone who knows the area better than I do happen to be closer to Corfu than Washington, D.C.? 🙂

Hey everyone,
It’s been over two months since my surgery, and honestly, the tip of my nose still feels weirdly numb—like it’s totally out of it. After a workout, say after running for maybe half an hour, I’ll be all worked up and sweating, but the tip just stays this dull, throbbing sensation... almost like there's zero circulation going through that specific spot. I'm wondering if it's because they focused so much work right on the tip itself? Does anyone know how many months it actually takes for that weird feeling to finally go away???

Laura Castillo7 said:How long have you had it? Since the beginning or did it just show up? And what does it feel like—is it hard or soft?

I'm not exactly sure when it started, but as my nose began to flatten, it just became noticeable... It isn't exactly soft; feels more like some misplaced cartilage to me, though my doctor claims it's just swelling! It's not a huge bump, but I see it and it drives me absolutely crazy!!!
