Carol Sanchez68 said:I’m still weighing my options, but if I make a call, I’m going to Bastaic. Like I mentioned before, my son had surgery with him, and we were incredibly happy with the whole experience—his dedication to the patient was top-notch, and he’s always available for follow-up advice long after the procedure is done. I just feel safe under his care. Plus, his pricing is very reasonable, and all the post-op stuff—dressings, check-ups, everything—is already baked into the initial cost. He's highly skilled and professional. I think dianazd saw him too, so she might have more personal insight to share.

Read it! 😉 Because of your post, he's officially moved into my shortlist! 😍

Man, I can't wait! 🙂

Hey everyone,
I’m officially adding myself to the list of people considering rhinoplasty. I actually just finished a consultation with Ostojić—he seems like a total pro—but I’m thinking about booking a second opinion, maybe even checking out Bastaic. My main issues are the tip of my nose, which is way too wide and has this awkward, boxy shape, and I also need some bone work done because from the front, my nose definitely drifts off-center.

Has anyone here actually gone through a pyramid reduction? I’ve been hearing horror stories that the bruising is absolutely brutal and that the head pain afterward feels like your skull is literally splitting open!

Please, if anyone has dealt with something similar to what I'm looking at, I would love to hear your honest experiences with your surgeons! Thanks so much for any insight you can give me!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m also considering rhinoplasty. I had my initial consultation with Ostojić—he seems excellent—but I’m planning a second opinion, perhaps even visiting Bastaic. My situation requires tip work (it's wide and somewhat square) along with an osteotomy to straighten the bridge, as my nose deviates slightly toward the center when viewed from the front.

Has anyone here undergone a pyramid rhinoplasty? I’ve heard rumors that the bleeding afterward is intense and that the head pain following such a procedure is absolutely excruciating!

Please share any personal experiences with surgeons if you have dealt with similar structural issues! Thank you all so much for your responses!!!!!!!!!!!!

I underwent that specific surgery—it isn't painful, per se, except for the headache and tooth pressure caused by the nasal packing; however, once those tampons are removed, everything feels fine. As for the bleeding, mine was quite significant for about a month, though that varies wildly from person to person—for some, it clears up in a week.
Good luck; I hope you end up being satisfied with the results!

Hey everyone! 😁 Does anyone have a ballpark idea of what the prices are looking like at Bastaic-Tončić? Could someone please give me a rough estimate of the current range? It’s really important for me to know. 😁

At Bastaic's, if you're paying cash, it’s about $1,500. You can also put it on an American Express—they offer a consumer credit plan for up to 36 months—but just heads up, the price jumps by 10% if you don't use cash.

I’m not sure about Tončić, but I can tell you about Ostojić—for local anesthesia $3167, it's $1,150, and general anesthesia is $11,500 (though keep in mind the price goes up 15% if you're using a credit card).

Hope that helps! :-)

I can't speak to Tončić's situation, but I can tell you this about Ostojić—he’s practically running on local potentiation anesthesia. $3167The standard rate is $11,500, though you should keep in mind that if you're paying with a credit card, there's an additional 15% surcharge applied to the total.

I hope I was able to be of some assistance to you! :-)

I really need to get an American Express card sorted out. Is that actually the one? And wait, they’re offering 36 monthly installments? Look, I'm just a student, but I seriously need to find a way to pull some capital together. 😁
Does anyone actually know how the payment process works besides just dropping cash on the counter? I’m trying to figure out if there’s an option to pay a portion upfront and then spread the rest out over time or something along those lines. Any insight would be appreciated.
I am in desperate need of some assistance here! Please, someone, help me out! 😁

Yeah, AMEX = American Express, and you can spread those payments out over up to 36 months depending on what works for you. As for this specific solution—where you pay a bit now and the rest later—you’re honestly better off asking the doctor directly if you're planning to see them. Good luck! :-)

Hey, I’m looking into getting rhinoplasty, but I haven't hit 16 yet, which is the age limit here in the US. Does anyone know if there are places where you can get it done under 16? Honestly, the deviation in my nose is pretty bad—I've barely been able to look myself in the mirror for the last year. Thanks.😢

Thinking about getting rhinoplasty
I was wondering if anyone here knows an ENT specialist based out of Washington, D.C., who also happens to be a sculptor
If you know his name, please let me know
He performs aesthetic procedures through insurance, so it costs next to nothing
On the plus side, since he actually specializes in this field, there’s less risk of him messing up my breathing... and another perk is the sculpting background. It makes sense that he’d have an eye for aesthetics and could actually draft the nose I'm looking for
Unlike Glumicic, who I hear just gives everyone the exact same nose

If anyone can identify who this is, please reach out

Terry Morales44, I totally disagree with you there—I mean, if you don't explicitly tell the doctor exactly what you want for your nose, of course they’re just going to do whatever they think looks "best" in their own head... and honestly, it's not just with plastic surgeons, it's basically how all doctors operate.
I personally laid out everything I wanted to them—like, I was super specific about wanting minimal changes—and that's exactly what they did. When I went back for my follow-up, there were other girls in the waiting room who had also had nose jobs, and I swear, I didn't see a single one of them looking alike. One girl had this tiny, tiny nose that looked so fake and unnatural to me—though clearly, that's what she asked for—and another one had this pointy thing that was just ugly, in my opinion. But then there was a third girl with a gorgeous, totally natural-looking nose... it really just comes down to the patient and what they actually want. If you don't speak up and just leave it entirely in the surgeon's hands, they usually end up giving you those tiny, upturned noses that look nothing like actual beauty...

Personally, I think he’s the absolute #1 guy for this. He’s got those procedures down to a science—I guarantee he’s done at least ten of them by now... they're basically muscle memory for him at this point.
I actually pulled the trigger on him myself once I saw what he did for Sanji Grohar (that former Miss USA winner). After she had three failed surgeries, he managed to take that total mess and turn it into such a beautiful, natural-looking nose. Most importantly, there were zero complications (though, if I'm being totally honest, that specific nose ended up looking a little too small for my personal taste)... but seriously, ALL PRAISE TO HIM.

Alex Martinez6 said:just a few quick questions...

1. I’m having these weird breathing issues through my nose... basically, it feels like there are these little bubbles inside my nasal passages blocking everything up, especially when I'm sleeping, so I end up mouth-breathing all night. What could be going on?
(keep in mind I'm getting my tonsils out soon, maybe that's related? )

2. Also, I'm not exactly loving how my nose looks—it kind of throws off my whole face... even if I decide to go through with a rhinoplasty, I'm wondering if there are any decent cosmetic surgeons in the Midwest or if I should head to Washington, D.C. or something...
won't bother asking about costs since it seems to hover around $2,200 🙂

p.s. regarding the first thing, I already asked my GP and my ENT and they both mumbled something about polyps, but nothing super concrete

cheers!

A friend of mine from Indianapolis wanted nose surgery and obviously went for it, but honestly, if you want this done right and in a place that actually has decent facilities, just bite the bullet and head to Washington, D.C.... she went to see dr. Tončić and trust me, he's easily the best guy in D.C., plus I actually had ear surgery with him myself once... my friend is totally stoked with the procedure and the recovery, especially the final look... says there were zero complications and neither did I... highly recommend him to anyone...👍

Look, don't fall for all the hype surrounding Glumicic... I'm no medical pro, but I've seen girls come away from Glumicic totally unhappy only to end up back in dr. Tončić's chair for touch-ups... Trust me, dr. Tončić isn't going to do anything that you won't absolutely love, and while a nose job is definitely one of those tricky procedures where you really have to keep your expectations grounded, whatever he promises, he actually delivers...

I’ve gotta say, I highly recommend dr. Tončić. I just had my surgery last week, and I’m finally getting my cast off this Thursday... fingers crossed I actually end up with the nose I wanted! So far, though, everything’s been smooth sailing—no pain or anything weird.

Hey ladies, quick question about post-op nose care...
I finally took the mold off yesterday, and I’m wondering if it’s okay to start using creams, exfoliants, or face masks on my nose again? Everything feels super numb—zero sensation right now—and things are getting pretty oily... also, I know I should probably avoid wearing glasses for a bit...
Cheers 🙂

sasha, you can't say that with such absolute certainty. Honestly, I’ve seen firsthand that a handful of girls ended up at Glumičić’s place for "touch-ups" because they just weren't happy with what they got from doctors like Tončić and several others... I didn't want to harp on it or give anyone bad press, but since you're being so bold about it, why shouldn't the rest of us speak up? Even though I don't think it's classy to drag people...
My aunt went to Glumičić about five years ago, and her nose looks exactly the same—just without that little bump she wanted gone. It all comes down to the consultation. If you're crystal clear about what you want, that's what you get...

I took the splint off yesterday, so I'm wondering if it's okay to start applying creams, exfoliants, or masks to my nose? Everything still feels totally numb—zero sensation—and it’s also feeling quite oily... I know I should probably avoid wearing glasses for now too...
Best, 🙂

Hmm, you'll find plenty of advice here, but I can offer some insight based on how I handled things with my own nose. I'm at the one-month mark today.😉
Once my splint came off, I just stuck to washing with a gentle cleanser and using my usual moisturizer. I didn't touch any exfoliants until about day 20. I've heard stories of people walking around with their splints still on or wearing heavy earrings and whatever else, but honestly, I wouldn't dare "test" the limits of my nose like that. Just remember: even if there isn't a visible wound, this was major surgery. It's a lot for your face and skin to handle, so be gentle and cautious for as long as possible. My doctor told me today that I can finally wear glasses to the beach or out in the sun, though I should still avoid heavy diving. 🙂
That's all from me; hopefully, this helps a little.

P.S. I should also mention that after 25 days, my nose has finally settled down to a "normal" size, but my surgeon told me today that it will take quite a while to truly define itself, slim down, and for the tip to get that elegant line because the swelling is still HEAVY. (So yeah, this is definitely not some minor procedure.)
I'm happy enough 👏

Best regards to everyone 👋

Hey everyone, I had my rhinoplasty about two weeks ago now. Could someone give me some insight regarding these stitches in my nose? How long does it typically take for them to just fall out on their own? On one side, they’re already becoming pretty noticeable, and I'm wondering if I should try to pull them out myself or just wait until they decide to make an exit. Aside from that, the swelling has mostly gone down, though it still feels a bit tight whenever I try to laugh. 🙂
I’d really appreciate any advice you can offer—I'm feeling a little bit lost here. Am I doing everything right post-op? My surgeon was actually so strict they almost forbade me from even sneezing! 😁
