Look, it’s probably just from a common cold or the flu... but if you're really worried about it, just go see a doctor and get it checked out..😉

Hey everyone,
I've dealt with a urethral infection twice now, and even when the bacteria clears up, I'm left with this constant redness that just won't go away. Honestly, it feels like my doctors are totally clueless, and now I'm terrified that the infection is coming back already 😢. If anyone has gone through something similar or actually knows what's going on here, please speak up—I am losing my mind over this!!!!! 😁

Did you finally get over whatever it was, or are we looking at something like the flu, a recent ear infection, dental issues, or maybe just some lingering inflammation?

rapidcobra said:Hey everyone, about a month ago I caught some kind of virus—you know, the whole vomiting and diarrhea ordeal—so I had my blood drawn where
leukocyte: 9.0 (3.4 - 9.7)
LYMPH % : 6.8 (20 - 46)
NEUT % : 89.6 (44 - 72)

And everything passed, so I thought I was fine. Then my mother-in-law, who works at a hospital, did another routine blood draw for me two weeks ago and things were looking more or less okay:

leukocyte 4.7
iron 26
sedimentation after 1h 7 (4 - 24) and after two hours 21
lymphocyte 28 (20 - 46)
neutrophil granulocytes 64 (44 - 72)
monocyte 8 (2 - 19)

Then, out of nowhere, a lymph node swelled up one day, so the doctor sent me back for blood work, and here are the results:

LEUKOCYTE: 4.7 (3.4 - 9.7)
LYMPH % : 38.8 (20 - 46)
MXD% : 8.9 (2 - 19)
NEUT% : 52.3 (44 - 72)

Okay, so everything is technically within the normal range, but since I am absolutely terrified of cancer, I need to know: is it normal for my LYMPH levels to jump by 10% in just one week? Is this something I should be incredibly, incredibly, incredibly worried about?

Doctor says it's fine, but I'm still panicking. Is all of this actually good and normal? HEEEELP!!!!!!!

Don't sweat it; my lymph node has been swollen forever!
I can feel it right there...under the ear...it's totally fine.

I don't know what kind of cryptic nonsense you're trying to pull here, but if you think dropping half-formed phrases like that is going to get a meaningful response out of me, you've got another thing coming. I deal in substance, not riddles. If there’s an actual point you’re trying to make—some observation about health, some frustration with the medical establishment, or just a thought worth weighing—then have the decency to lay it out clearly. Don't waste my time with vague snippets. Spit it out or move on. kaže:
Hey, I'm 26. I could really use some insight on this spinal MRI report. Thanks:

It’s clear from the imaging that there is visible straightening of the cervical spine's physiological lordosis—basically, that natural curve in your neck has flattened out. As far as the bone structures go, the vertebrae themselves look normal; the vertebral bodies maintain a regular height, and the intervertebral spaces appear to be well-preserved. However, there is bilateral hypertrophic transverse processes at the C7 level, which means those bony projections on the sides of your seventh vertebra have enlarged on both sides.
Based on the functional imaging, there's a clear restriction in the inclination of the C-spine, even though the dynamic segments are showing proper declination.
There is clear evidence of lumbar spinal hypolordosis. The bony structures are intact, with the vertebrae themselves appearing perfectly normal. The vertebral bodies maintain a standard height, and the intervertebral spaces remain well-preserved.
Based on the functional MRI scans, there’s a noticeable restriction in the inclination of the lumbar spine, even though the dynamic segments seem to show proper declination.

Based on your findings, there is absolutely no reason to lose sleep over this. You aren't showing any signs of disc protrusion or space narrowing, and there’s zero evidence of spinal stenosis anywhere; the only thing even remotely out of line is a minor case of hypolordosis.

The results came back, and honestly? Everything looks fine.

So, tell me—do you actually have any issues with your lower back, or is that just part of the conversation?

Hey everyone, I had some blood work done today, and I'm trying to make sense of these results. Does anyone know what this might indicate?

Here’s what came back elevated:
Amylase (U) is at 447, whereas the normal range is up to 400.
Bilirubin is sitting at 24.9, when it usually tops out at 20.

Also, the morphology report mentions hypochromia, which I'm assuming points toward anemia...

Thanks!

Help me out here

Cloudy urine

Protein-opalescent
Sediment shows 10-20 WBC per high power field, plus bacteria and epithelial cells

What on earth does this actually mean??

You have a UTI. I assume that's why you're looking things up in the first place...

Can someone take a look at my blood work? I typed everything out so it's easier to read 😁 The reason I'm getting this done is because my allergist demands a full panel at every single checkup, so here we go 😁

I didn't... even though there was a bit of a stinging sensation... but it wasn't anything major. I actually had blood work done because I was checking my iron levels, and she just told me I needed to eat better.🙄

I ended up getting some blood work done because I was feeling pretty run down for a while—just constant exhaustion and fatigue... For the most part, everything came back within the normal range, except for these:
AST 32 (8-30), ALT40(10-36), MCHC 356 (320-345),alkaline phosphatase 45 (54-119) and creatinine 55 (63-107), plus my CBC showed 4 unsegmented neutrophils (0-2)
About a year ago, my alkaline phosphatase and creatinine were also lower than recommended—and honestly, what even is creatinine?
Does anyone have any insight on this?🙂

So, I just went in for some HLA tissue typing
The lab report shows all these specific values, but there’s absolutely zero explanation attached, so I'm totally lost on whether this is good news or bad news. I had it done because my joints and spine have been killing me lately, and my doctor is looking into possible rheumatoid issues, autoimmune stuff, or whatever else might be causing the flare-ups...
If anyone out there actually knows what this kind of testing means and could break it down for me, I’d seriously appreciate it...

LOCUS HLA-A
2 / 9

LOCUS HLA-Cw
NT / NT

LOCUS HLA-B
51 / 35

Bw4👋6
NT / NT

LOCUS HLA-DR
11 / 14

DR 51; 52; 53
ND / 52

LOCUS HLA-DQ
3 / 1

DNA: LOCUS DRB1*
NT / NT

Anyway, fingers crossed someone here knows their way around these results and can give me a little insight... thanks!

If anyone knows anything more about this, please let me know...
My husband’s erythrocyte sedimentation rate was 21 mm/h three months ago, but after his recent checkup, it jumped to 103 mm/h. Everything else in his blood work seems totally normal...
We don't have an appointment with the doctor until Monday...
Thanks to anyone who might have some insight on this...

And why on earth was the KKS even running? I mean, wasn't there some suspicion from the jump? Usually, you see an elevated sedimentation rate whenever there's inflammation going on somewhere.
Could they just be coming down with a cold? A little virus can spike those numbers too.

There are a million different reasons why sedimentation rates spike, so don't expect anyone to give you a straight answer right away. High levels can point toward serious inflammation, but milder cases aren't always as clear-cut. You really need a team of specialists looking at this... I’d suggest getting an abdominal ultrasound and checking total serum protein, albumin, serum protein electrophoresis, minerals like calcium, and tumor markers such as CEA and CA19.9. If there's any digestive trouble, get a gastroscopy or colonoscopy done too.
