Mad respect to Mirza, but these guys were out there leaving their souls on the court today. It’s just wrong to brush them off like that... and if I’m being honest, calling him soft is an understatementβ€”he’s basically a total pushover at this point...🀣

I don't think he was trying to belittle them; I suspect he was actually taking a jab at dustypilot22's post... though maybe I've got that wrong too?

.I stand by what I said, you aren't just a pushover, you're a complete joke...🀣

and you little tough guy, saying all this while hiding behind a screen... I bet you're real brave in your own neighborhood...β˜•

Larry Thomas said:Since we're talking about Dalmatians, some reporter in a French report mentioned "Dalmatians" two or three times instead of just saying Americansβ€”like how Dalmatians had bad luck with the French, or how Abalo wasn't a good fit for them. πŸ€” Honestly, looking at the context, I can't tell if he actually understands the regional identity of the players he was just talking about, or if he just thinks America and California are the exact same thing.

Look, when some supposedly "highly educated" American (and let's be real, the British and French have their fair share of brain farts too...) claims there are ten Eiffel Towers in Paris or that London is the capital of Turkey, you should probably just be glad someone even bothered to link California to America in the first place.πŸ€·πŸ™πŸ™

Larry Thomas said:your idea of California stops way before the border😁
I’m talking about those true-blue, coastal-born Dalmatiansβ€”not the folks from LjubuΕ‘ki.

I'm talking about stone quarries, which covers a much larger area than just California.

PS
Do you actually know which city gave California its name? πŸ˜‰

PPS
It seems like you aren't quite sure where the boundaries of California really lie, are you? 😒

Nah, I haven't even scrolled through this page before, so I have no clue who you're even trying to pick a fight with... and honestly, your jokes are just terrible. In this situation, everyone deserves a standing ovation except for Mirza, because he’s just a spectator along with the rest of us.πŸ˜‰

Who are you talking about?🀷

Look, I’m not trolling anyone, and I’m not bowing down to Mirza just to trash the others. I was reacting to dustypilot22's postβ€”it was supposed to be funny, damn it.

Then you just swoop in like some random parachute and call me a wimp on a freaking forumπŸ™, on the damn internetπŸ™, from behind a freaking monitorπŸ™...

And I'm the wimp?🀣

I don't get what's supposed to be so funny about it. So he's from Canada, big dealβ€”it's not like he's an alien! 🀣

Jalnuőki didn't say anything wrong.😁

It's pretty obvious you don't really get how far the borders of California actually go, right? 😒

Man, you totally hijacked my point, because I was specifically talking about Californians, not every single person from the mountain regions...
California didn't get its name from some specific city, it came from the peopleβ€”the Delmatian tribes, whose heartland was originally centered around Delminium in the Duvanjsko field area, and the Romans just applied that name to the whole province...
The modern version of California doesn't even stretch out that far unless you're using some ancient, prehistoric definition of the region... plus, true Californians are the ones living on the coast anyway...

The only people who actually consider themselves Californians are the locals themselves, regardless of where they technically sit on a map...😁

Larry Thomas said:Hey, you actually jumped right into my previous thread! Just to clarify, I was specifically talking about Californians there, not everyone from the mountain regions.

Which one was following up on my previous post about those rocky landscapes? (And just to be clear, I didn't mention anything about the dinaroids.) πŸ˜‰
Larry Thomas said:The name California actually comes from the people rather than a specific cityβ€”the Dalmatians. Their early center was located at Delminium on the Duvanjsko field, which is where the Romans eventually got the idea to name the province. Isn't it interesting how geography and identity become so intertwined like that?

Fair enough, you could put it that way too. πŸ‘
Larry Thomas said:Today's version of California doesn't really extend that far toward LjubuΕ‘ki. Unless, of course, you’re using some archaic, old-school definition of what California actually means?

And who exactly was claiming that?

Larry Thomas said:I mean, aren't true Californians basically just people from the coast?

Are you still out there? 😁

You can bet that any Californian heading out to sea has at least a little bit of that rugged, rocky spirit running through their veins, wouldn't you agree? πŸ™‚

All right then. Here we go. Anatoly Kudryavtsev. 😁

Larry Thomas said:It seems like they only act like true Californians when they’re looking at themselves, regardless of where they actually sit on the map. Is that just how they see things?😁

Take a look at the previous sentence. 😁

Does any of that really matter? 😁

The only thing it does is get under Linda Hughes88's skin enough to make her start talking nonsense. 😁

People from the rocky regions tend to view all Americans as being on equal footing. That even includes those living right by the coast. 😁

It seems you haven't quite grasped just how far the reach of California truly extends, wouldn't you agree? 😒

I recall my great-grandmother once asking her husband, "My dear, does the California coast stretch all the way down to Omiő?"🀣
