well, maybe it’s time for you to pack your bags and move elsewhere. 😉

Look, nobody is sitting here disputing the medals they've won—far from it! No one is ignoring those achievements. But let's be real: Lino Cervar isn't some flawless genius; he has flaws just like any other guy—in fact, his narcissism can be downright unbearable at times. 🤷 So, honestly, why on earth would anyone hate him?

But nobody is actually ignoring them. It just seems like you're the only one bringing them up as often as you've stated your points here:

I just don't quite see how this narcissism shows itself, or why nobody noticed it until recently. 🤔

I'll leave you to answer that one. 😁

I just caught the replay of Germany vs. Denmark—solid game, really. Not even half the roughness you'd expect, almost like those soft French players—it’s nothing like how Denmark usually plays. Honestly, they barely held their own against the Germans, which makes me think we actually have a shot at the top if we just stay steady and keep our heads in the game... But then again, what do you expect from the French? They're always whining about something, aren't they?

So, let me get this straight. Lino Cervar lays out the game plan, while Balić is busy doing whatever he wants and Dominiković is completely checked out... and then we’re supposed to believe the players just magically click and find their rhythm later? ☕Give me a break.

Just let them be. Some are high, some just love to talk trash, and the rest claim it's just bad luck. Whatever. 🤷

I nearly had a heart attack today; damn this World Handball Championship 😬 I didn't catch my breath for the final five minutes...
This win belongs to the defense. They played flawlessly—not too aggressive, not too soft, just right 👍

I was actually crying tears of joy by the end; what a wild ride 😬 Such sweet justice 😍

Oh, please. Knowing how I operate, I’ll probably end up frustrated all over again even when everything is already settled.😁

I'm in the same boat—I can never quite recall how that 2001 Wimbledon final wrapped up, so I always end up feeling a bit restless about it myself.😁

Honestly, I’m starting to suspect that Červar actually cooked up that specific play where Balic moves to the line while Vori rotates out to the center. If that was the plan, then Zila isn't to blame at all for covering Vori instead of Balic.

But hey, whatever works...

Anyway, regarding the Olympics, here is how it looks: either the Americans or our guys will be booking their flights to Beijing tomorrow.

Even if we don't secure those tickets right now, the qualifying tournament in June is definitely going to be hosted right here in the States. Our group includes the French, the runner-up from Asia, and either the second or third seed from Africa. Two teams are heading to the Olympics.

Qualifying shouldn't be an issue for us.

Here goes me too.

Man, those guys pulled off a miracle. They were half-dead and nursing injuries, yet they somehow took down the Americans, and honestly, I still haven't wrapped my head around how.

It was like seeing a Narcissus in real life, paired with that powerhouse on the wing. Throw in Karabatić, an elite goalie, and two absolute killers in the defense, and I’m just lost—and I bet they are too.😂

That American grit is something else, man. Where did Metličić even come from? He wasn't even scoring like that the rest of the tournament! And then at the end there's Lac; I was basically yelling, "Come on, we've been waiting for you all game," and boom, he drops two quick ones to seal it.

Tomorrow we face the Americans, those old rivals who always seem to run us over in those consolation matches for bronze. If our guys can actually find the strength to walk after this war with the Americans, the Americans aren't going to have a good time either.

And don't even get me started on the timeouts; they're a comedy show in themselves. We should seriously make a highlight reel of all our timeouts from this EP.😂

First, I almost choked laughing when someone shouted, "Vori, you're a man with ten hands!" Then, to everyone's shock, Dominiković takes center stage and actually says something smart. The funniest part? He actually called both plays and the shooter perfectly.😂

Seriously, the whole crew is legendary, including Lina. If things were even slightly different, it wouldn't be nearly this much fun.

God, this thread...🤣

If you're against Lino, you're against Mamić, and if you're against Mamić, you're some kind of radical!🤣
Everything's just going to hell...

Nikola, man...

Those rude American fans basically "honored" Nikola Karabatić with those boos right before the second penalty. Not exactly classy, but hey, it worked—he missed. That was one of those turning points where our guys just tightened up even more. The Americans still have a chance to keep the pressure on Červar. I just wonder though—is Lino to blame because Metličić and Lacković only finally stepped up today?

And don't even get me started on that genius idea of having Balic play pivot like Vori...

Sorry, Lisa White3, but I have to correct you there. The French are taking the Danes' spot in the qualifiers, which means we'll host the tournament featuring the Russians, the winner of North Korea vs. Japan, and Algeria.
I wrote all the details over in the finals thread.

Of course, that's assuming we don't blow it tomorrow.

Facing the threat of Balic—who was clearly playing hurt but still looked absolutely legendary—Onesta's squad just couldn't find their rhythm on offense. Obstructed on Play and struggling at the charity stripe, the Americans barely survived thanks to a few flashes of brilliance that were way too isolated...

Today's opponent played a completely different game.

They had an organization without fault, backed by a rock-solid mindset, especially when things started heating up in the clutch.

In a game where the score was a fight to the death and the gap never even hit two goals, the American collective really showed its cracks. Being without left leg in the backcourt made finding answers tough, especially since Bertrand Gille was starved for usable passes at the pivot. Onesta tried his best to rally the guys, but I don't know—maybe it was just pure exhaustion or the pressure getting to them—but the Americans just couldn't pull away, even while Ivano Balic was basically playing on one leg through the pain.

altavista translator 😁

Facing off against the threat of Balic—who was clearly dialed back but still absolutely brilliant—Onesta's squad just couldn't find their rhythm on offense. Obstructed on play and struggling to convert their penalties, the Americans only stayed in the game thanks to a few flashes of brilliance that were pretty much isolated incidents. The opposition played a completely different game. They showed an organization without fault, staying incredibly composed even during the most intense stretches of the match. Since the score stayed within a tight two-goal window the whole time, you could really see the limits of the American squad. Being without left leg, they lacked options everywhere, especially at the pivot, where Bertrand Gille just wasn't getting any decent looks. Onesta tried his best to rally the troops, but maybe it was just pure lethargy or maybe the pressure was too high; either way, it kept the Americans from French fra inserting the nail when Ivano Balic, looking stiff and in pain, could barely stay upright.

Honestly, the two best scenes were Onesta's attack on one of his own coaching staff members, and then seeing Červar's classic American grit used to throw a confused Lacković off balance. 😁

I was just sitting there waiting for the camera to zoom in on Červar and Onesta locked in a heated standoff somewhere near the scorer's table. 😁
