Exactly, which is why I mentioned I wasn't sure if it would work for everyone. I did see it done on this Arapkinja once; she had a pretty significant bump way up on her nose, and the results actually looked decent.
I also had surgery a long, long time ago and even that didn't really fix everything for me😍🤣 but honestly, I wouldn't go back under the knife. I just don't obsess over it anymore. As the years go by, other stuff in life becomes way more important, and my nose doesn't even look that bad to me anymore. Anyway, if anyone is planning on getting surgery, just make sure you pick a killer doctor who knows how to do the job right!

I went through basically the exact same mental tug-of-war before I finally pulled the trigger on my now perfect nose! 🙂 🙂 If I may say so!!! But hey, I happened to stumble upon a recommendation for Toncic. And man, oh man, am I glad I did! 🙏 So, anyway, I booked a consultation, and first off—the clinic? Totally state-of-the-art, super modern vibes. During the consult, Dr. Toncic was incredibly informative (and trust me, I had a mountain of questions!) and just professional through and through. He walked me through exactly what would happen in my case, and since I’m a total layman, he did an amazing job explaining what to actually expect from the surgery and the whole recovery process. For instance—he used the closed technique, which means NO VISIBLE SCARS, and I didn't have to deal with wearing glasses for two months post-op! Plus, you really need a full YEAR for everything to settle and heal completely... etc., etc. (Look, I’m a philosophy major, so tissue regeneration isn't exactly my specialty 😍). After the exam, I ended up scheduling the actual surgery for just a week later—mostly because they offered a payment plan, and let's be real, I'm not exactly rolling in cash! My mom just swiped her card—split it into 6 installments! 😉Leading up to the surgery, I was a nervous wreck... but the nurses were so sweet and took such good care of me that I actually managed to chill out. I don't remember much during the procedure itself (it was local anesthesia with sedation—basically, they knock you out while keeping the area numb!) and by that afternoon, I was already back home. I looked like Hannibal at first—splint on my nose, tampons stuffed in there... lots of gurgling and breathing through my mouth... Once they took the tampons out, it felt better, but I was dying to get that splint off! Finally, when I saw my nose—even though it was swollen at first—I was, to put it mildly, ecstatic! Long story short, I couldn't be happier with my choice, so 👍 huge props to Dr. Toncic and my new nose! 😉

It's only been 18 days for me, so there's still quite a bit of swelling. It isn't terrible, though; if you didn't know I'd had work done, you wouldn't even notice. I have a wedding to attend in about ten days. 🙈
Do you have any tips for speeding up the recovery? I'd love to get this swelling down just a little bit more.
I've been following my doctor's orders by showering and massaging my nose, but I've seen people on some American forums suggesting certain pills to help with healing and reducing inflammation. Have you ever heard anything about those??

So, I had my nose surgery back on May 28th. It was with Dr. Toncic. Honestly, I’ve been really happy with everything—from the prep work to the actual procedure and the recovery phase. The nurses there were just incredibly sweet and kind, too. I went in for a follow-up about a week ago, and everything is looking good. I am genuinely pleased with how it turned out, even though I did point out one tiny little thing to the doctor during my check-up that's still bugging me. But then again, maybe it's just my perfectionism getting the better of me 🙂. On the other hand, my nose used to tilt quite a bit to the right, so I get that you can't perform absolute miracles sometimes. My nose is straight now, it's small, and I absolutely love the profile 😍 finally!!! I specifically chose Dr. Toncic because he performs the surgery under local anesthesia with sedation, and I'd heard great things about his work. In the end, everything worked out fine. I didn't stress over the results as much as I thought I would, and it turns out I made a really solid choice 🙂

The profile is okay—not exactly a cute, dainty 😍, but it's flat. I feel like I've read pretty much every thread here, and while everyone seems happy with their new profile, a lot of women still complain about looking like Miss Piggy when viewed head-on.

So, how are you all feeling about the look of your nose from the front?

Has anyone here actually gone through with nose surgery under Dr. Klapan Ivica at Mayo Clinic? I was thinking about doing it at Salat before, but is he actually any good?

I'm actually pretty happy with mine. It looks totally normal to me, 🙂 though I did make sure to tell my surgeon that I didn't want it to look too upturned 🙂.

I actually complained about the exact same thing. It’s completely normal to feel this way at first because the swelling is just intense. Honestly, I'm still not 100% satisfied because I know deep down it needs to be smaller. Right now, it feels pretty much like it did before surgery. Nobody even realizes I had work done because my nose wasn't particularly wide to begin with; from the side, it’s now quite dainty (though not excessively) and looks super.
It's still sweltering outside, which means the swelling is taking forever to go down... but, give it another month or two, and I'll finally be truly happy with the result.😍 👍 👍

That bump on my nose hasn't quite vanished yet. Honestly, though—my family claims they don't even notice it. I can still feel it, but since the size keeps fluctuating, I’m hoping it eventually just fades away completely.😁 But hey, I guess I’ve gotten used to it.
It feels incredibly surreal that none of my inner circle realizes my nose looks different now.🙂 To me, the change is massive, but I suppose people aren't staring at my profile closely enough to catch the difference at first glance. In a way, that’s a blessing. Just yesterday, a friend saw me for the first time since my surgery during a lecture and simply said, "You look so different today now that you're wearing makeup."😂

There are still a few tiny details—like that annoying little bump that I swear only I can see—that bother me, but overall, I'm really happy with the result.🙄

Look, I’m speaking from experience here—I've been through the ringer—and honestly, it just ain't worth it. Your nose looks totally fine, seriously. Please, please think this through carefully before you decide if you really want to go through with 🙂

I totally get where you're coming from. I used to absolutely hate my nose and was dying to have it shrunk down. So, I went ahead and did it, and honestly? I haven't had a single moment of regret since.
Six months? Give me a break. What kind of story is that even supposed to be? Who on earth takes six months to recover? Honestly, whose botched surgery were you under?! Personally, I felt like a brand-new person—back to my old self—after just fifteen days.
If I had any idea my recovery would be this quick and painless, I would have pulled the trigger on this a long time ago. I'll go ahead and share my own experience too, just so you can see the difference.

P.S. Yours is tiny, not even curved, and honestly, I’m with Gregory Doyle34 on this one—you definitely don't need surgery. But hey, if you're really hell-bent on doing it... 👍 I wish you nothing but the best!
