Look, I’m not trying to be a jerk here, but honestly? It feels like ruggedjackal46’s ego isn't just big—it's basically its own isolated ecosystem in a jar of chili jam, if you catch my drift. 🙏

Eric Robinson81 said:Honestly, the guy is overreacting. The real question is whether he actually has phimosis or if his skin just hasn't stretched enough yet. Still, the doctor offered him a circumcision, and the poor guy just completely missed the boat on that one.

Look, Eric Robinson81, I’ve been doing the exercises my whole life. I’ve made progress to the point where the glans can peek out, but that's where the progress hits a wall because it starts hurting. You get what I'm saying?
As for these other methods you're hinting at—what are we talking about here? You sound pretty well-versed in the subject, so why don't you enlighten me? And please, spare me the "just do more stretches" or "pull harder" advice. It's not like I haven't already spent plenty of time inspecting the situation myself.

Look, I know this thread is probably gonna go straight to hell and even if seven different moderators tried, they couldn't keep everyone from tearing it apart...

So, I’m asking you all—and Arslan, I’m looking right at you—can we please just focus on Sid’s actual issue? We're talking about POST-OP care here... let's stop pivoting to all those weird gymnastic "cures" for phimosis instead.

Thanks!

ruggedjackal46 Asks:
That’s actually solid advice. I was just sitting here thinking about it—if I’m supposed to be laying low for two or three weeks, what happens to my morning wood? Honestly, even those monks out in Tibet probably wouldn't have a clue how to control that.

One of the links over on the wiki actually lists the procedure, and it mentions using amyl nitrate to counter it.
Erections. Honestly, I don't think it's ever been that big of a deal. What goes up has to come down eventually—it’s just basic physics, really. 😁

ruggedjackal46 said:Look, Wikipedia might list all these less invasive procedures and gentle options, but let’s be real—Wikipedia isn't exactly a board-certified urologist who can prescribe you topical creams. When I sat down with my specialist, he didn't mince words at all; he just looked me straight in the eye and told me circumcision was the only way to go. When I tried to push back and ask about any other methods or alternatives, he just gave me this look like, "Are you kidding me? Just do what we discussed."

I get the feeling that Arslan tends to go overboard sometimes, but honestly? Even I wouldn't be a fan of something like this.
So, let's talk about this "just wing it" approach people seem to take. Seriously, who on earth are you seeing for urology? There was some chatter going around earlier about prepucioplasty, and honestly, it makes me wonder how much research anyone actually does before jumping into something like that.
I can't quite make heads or tails of that specific phrase—it looks like a fragment or perhaps a shorthand I haven't encountered before. If you're trying to point me toward a specific topic or a particular thread, could you give me a little more context? I’m all ears, though I might need a nudge in the right direction to really get into the weeds with you. Look at this..

If I were in your shoes, especially after reading all that stuff about what happens following a circumcision—specifically regarding any shrinkage—I’d definitely be feeling a bit uneasy.
Let’s talk about some heavy stuff—specifically the risks surrounding penile cancer, HIV transmission, and HPV. It sounds like a lot to process, but we need to look at the facts. There’s even some interesting debate out there regarding whether certain preventative measures might actually be more effective than standard vaccines when it comes to specific types of transmission. It’s a complex landscape, so let's break down what we're actually facing.
...which also means there's a much lower risk for my partner, on top of that. Plus, we're looking at complications that are actually pretty rare to begin with.
I’ve been seriously weighing the idea of getting circumcised lately. Of course, it’s always much easier to talk about someone else's business than your own, so I figured I’d just lay out how it all goes down.
So, why on earth did I actually go through with it?

It’s not about faith in J*hve or Allah—it’s all about that (relative) phimosis.
So, here’s the deal: everything was working perfectly fine before. The foreskin would slide halfway over the head, things were moving along smoothly, and I was basically cruising along with Mike—but then...
After an hour or two, my head starts feeling this weird, uncomfortable shade of purple—you know that sensation?
So, I was listening to Joe tell this story the other day—you know how he is, always one step away from a punchline—and he hits me with this absolute gem. He looks me dead in the eye and says, "I've finally nailed the color, now I just gotta work on the scale." Honestly, you have to admire the sheer, unadulterated confidence it takes to deliver a line like that with a straight face. It’s one of those moments where you aren't quite sure whether to laugh or just nod in respectful silence. 🤣)
It’s actually pretty rare for the skin to peel back all the way—and honestly, if it did, it would have been incredibly painful and a total hassle to deal with.
Taking a quick breather to recharge, just waiting for things to settle down so I can get back on my feet.
To be honest, I wasn't exactly feeling a sense of pride about being under the knife; more than anything, I was just terrified of ending up with paraphimosis.
So, I ended up getting admitted to the medical center over in Chicago, and honestly? They were acting like they were prepping me for open-heart surgery or something equally life-altering. It was a bit much, if you ask me.
Well, looks like our anesthesiologist bailed on us. So, unless you’re planning on performing surgery on yourself, we’re all stuck sitting around doing absolutely nothing until Monday. Hope you guys brought something to keep yourselves busy.
Me on Friday morning.
And can that be done through a local provider?
I mean, if you guys are looking to stick with a local option, then... sure, why not? It could work.
Shaving? Yeah, I’ve been there (thanks for asking!), sitting at the table with the whole lively crew gathered around—I think it was mostly girls.
So, I just finished my specialization... and let's just say the topic was "Oh god, phimosis." 🙂 If I’d known sooner, I would’ve booked it.
I mean, honestly, just look at yourself. 😬So, I had to get a dose of something—let's call it "substance X"—injected right at the root. Honestly? It was a total breeze. They used such a tiny needle that you can barely even feel it going in. Barely a thing.
Installing the skylight (I didn't get a close look at the details, because I was... busy lying horizontally). 😁)
They cut it, they stitched it up, and then they sent me right back to my room upstairs. Honestly, I could have just handled it myself, but...
I felt totally out of place because I was underdressed for the occasion. So, naturally, I just packed up my things and bailed the very next day on my own terms.
They can talk all they want about "responsibility," but let's be honest—they would have handed me my walking papers regardless if it hadn't been the weekend.

The stitches they used were made from some kind of thread that just starts disintegrating after only a few days.
I spent a good chunk of time wrapping that thing in gauze before I finally decided to seal the whole package up with some heavy-duty duct tape.
I was actually inspired by "hypermanganese." It took about a week or two, but he finally got used to the friction from...
...with the laundry. As for my take? Honestly, when it comes to sex, I don't think there’s much of a massive difference—aside from the obvious fact that there isn't more of it.
Dealing with all that hassle and the constant issues from phimosis? Honestly, it feels so much cleaner now—no matter how messy things used to be before.
I used to clean up thoroughly after peeing and stayed on top of my hygiene, but the smegma was always
just gross. Now, the texture feels way better. It looks better too—and not just to Avi 😁
(Here’s another cheesy joke for you: A guy walks into a doctor's office and bangs his junk against the desk.
Doc: "Does it hurt?" — "No." — "Does it sting?" — "No." — "Then why on earth did you come in,
huh?" — "Just wanted you to see how great it looks." 😁)

Anyway, all of that was seventeen years ago. Hopefully, the procedure is much more
straightforward these days. You shouldn't be too worried; any discomfort usually passes
pretty quickly. (An erection tends to subside if there's pain, though I remember having some
rather interesting technical difficulties when trying to masturbate a few days
after things started healing up... 🤣)

If you're talking about before age 17? You're basically a kid then, right? It feels like things might be a little easier at that stage.

jok, I'm actually a bit older than you. 😉And honestly, I'm not so sure it’s any easier for kids.
For me, it wasn't easy at all; I spent a long time just putting off making a decision. A specific issue is
the standard practice of newborn circumcision—that's where things get complicated. It seems like the views held by
American medical associations are either a sort of "hand-wavy" approach where
parents just decide based on tradition (since they claim medical necessity doesn't
really outweigh the options), or it becomes this weird cost-benefit analysis
weighing the surgery against something harder to quantify. (I assume the perspective
changes depending on whether someone dealt with cancer, HIV, an infection, etc., and wonders what would have happened
if they had been in a statistically less vulnerable group earlier than when they actually contracted it).

I actually had you filed away in my head under "college years" because of how you write.

So, what stopped you from, uh, how should I put this... having technical 😬 issues while you were waiting all that time? 😕

Circumcision offers no inherent medical or practical advantages. There is an ongoing debate regarding whether male circumcision is as senseless as female genital mutilation—that medieval, religiously or culturally driven practice often performed in unsanitary conditions that inflicts injury on women's organs specifically to diminish their sexual pleasure and increase male control over them.

Some studies highlight benefits while others point to the harms of male circumcision, meaning the scientific community remains divided on the matter. My assessment would be that the consensus is essentially neutral: it doesn't cause massive harm, but it certainly doesn't provide a significant benefit either.

Like any surgical procedure, circumcision carries risks: bleeding, infections, urinary fistulas, cysts, scarring on the glans, necrosis of penile tissue, hypospadias (where the urethra is at the base rather than the tip), epispadias (where the urethra is on the side or top), impotence, secondary phimosis, and the removal of too much tissue.

On infants, circumcision is frequently performed without any anesthesia (one has to wonder if they feel pain and suffer because of it). For adults, once the procedure is done, one must avoid erections for about six weeks (I honestly wonder how one manages that), as well as masturbation and sex, just to allow the tissue to heal properly.
What adults who can compare their sensations before and after the procedure describe is an extreme sensitivity of the glans when it rubs against clothing, which is both painful and highly uncomfortable. There is also a change in sensation because the glans is suddenly always dry, leading to reduced sensitivity; logically, since the glans is constantly dry, the friction against fabric eventually crosses a threshold of pain, causing the body to dampen the nerve signals until the individual reaches a breaking point. This loss of sensitivity means a man might ejaculate more easily, but the experience itself will be less pleasurable because he feels less on the glans.

In a healthy state, the foreskin can be pulled back behind the glans. This isn't a condition resulting from childbirth; rather, it is an opening in the skin that expands with use, largely aided by masturbation. Boys who masturbate using movements that mimic penetration (pulling the skin from the glans toward the body with their hand) gradually and naturally expand the opening without shock. Those who masturbate by rubbing the penis or pulling the skin in the opposite direction (from the abdomen toward the tip) fail to expand the opening, leading to a condition that isn't technically phimosis but is often mistaken for it. In cases where the opening hasn't expanded, the easiest, cheapest, and least traumatic solution is simply to change the method of masturbation and gently stretch the skin under warm water in the shower. Over a few months, the opening will widen.

An additional option is the use of steroid creams, which may assist in expanding the opening more quickly.

Doctors who lean toward the "cut and go" philosophy often advocate for surgical intervention because they earn more from surgery than they do from prescribing creams or simply offering advice (besides, it is difficult for traditionalists to tell someone to change how they masturbate; it is easier for them to let a patient bleed than to explain how to apply ointment). Among surgical interventions, there is the dorsal slit, which creates an incision in the skin to significantly increase the opening without removing the foreskin entirely. A more drastic version is full circumcision, where a large portion of the prepuce is removed, sometimes including the frenulum. An even more extreme procedure would involve removing part or all of the glans itself, which is something seen among certain body modification enthusiasts—for instance, some people get a Prince Albert piercing where a ring is passed through the urethral opening and out the bottom, or even have the glans split into two halves. Fortunately, such disfigurement is rare.

My view is that everyone is the master of their own body, so if someone wants to pierce or cut themselves, that is their prerogative. Regardless, people deserve high-quality information, and unfortunately, when it comes to circumcision, doctors often push decisions that are easiest and most profitable for them, without much regard for the patient's actual experience.

I don't even know where to start with this nonsense. Seriously. It’s like people just wake up and decide to be completely irrational. I was sitting there yesterday, just trying to have a quiet cup of coffee, when I saw another one of these ridiculous takes floating around online. Honestly? It makes my blood boil. You can't even have a normal conversation anymore without someone coming at you with this absolute garbage. It’s exhausting. Just plain exhausting. kaže:
Oh man, what a total joke! Seriously? This is just ridiculous. 🙂 If I’d known ahead of time, I would've booked it! Seriously, what a massive waste of my time.
I mean, seriously? Just "yourself"? That’s it? That’s all you’ve got to say for yourself? Unbelievable. I swear, sometimes I feel like I'm talking to a brick wall. You can't just drop a two-word sentence like that and expect me to do all the heavy lifting in this conversation! It's exhausting. Honestly.

Thanks for looking out for me, Jose Miller3, but I have to admit that Eric Robinson81’s post was actually pretty helpful from a different angle.
By the way, just an FYI, I’ve pushed my procedure back by about a year because my college schedule is a complete mess right now. I decided to go see a private urologist for a consultation instead. At least there, they won't blow me off in fifteen seconds, and I can actually ask all the questions I need to.

Bravo, truly. I have to say, you have an incredible sense of humor. It’s quite impressive.😬

Jose Miller3, it would be fundamentally unfair for you to ban me. I have to wonder if you have some sort of compulsion for total control—did you grow up under some kind of authoritarian regime? I’m honestly not sure what your issue is here. I am simply presenting facts, and even the original poster confirmed they were interested in this information. Eric Robinson81, what's the big deal here?
I mean, the guy didn't get surgery until way later, so I'm guessing he was probably trying to fix things his own way for a while. Honestly, there's a pretty good chance one of those ways was that exercise you suggested... which clearly didn't work out great since the poor guy ended up needing surgery anyway 😉

So now you're gonna try and tell us he just didn't stretch quite right enough? 😁 😁
