Running a fever?

Ugh, tell me about it... I ended up running a 98.6 fever this afternoon too. It settled down by tonight, thank God. I was actually supposed to head in for bloodwork today, but my little guy came down with a fever yesterday and everything just went out the window. Hopefully, I can finally get those tests knocked out sometime later this week...

🤣 Looks like everyone running a fever yesterday caught it. Honestly, feels like some kind of cosmic interference😁. Maybe the three of us are just subjects in some experiment run by little green men🤣

I’m feeling that heat in my head again... honestly, I might lose my mind if the temperature goes back 😵 😠

☕ Hey everyone. You’ve all been getting hit with these temperature spikes, but it sounds like everything is fine health-wise. I just wanted to mention that this can actually be a side effect of pregnancy, even if it doesn't happen often. It happened to me when I first found out I was pregnant. For about a month and a half, my temperature hovered around 99 degrees, yet every single test came back perfect. After running all the diagnostics, my OB-GYN finally concluded it was just my hormones acting up... basically a physiological reaction. It’s not common, but it happens.
Just sharing this for the sake of information, even though it doesn't seem to apply to your specific situation.
Hope you all have a smooth cycle.

Yeah, okay, I did have a bit of a fever once—just one day, right around when I found out I was pregnant, maybe a day or two after conception (I know exactly when THAT happened)... but obviously, that’s not what we're talking about now... and I just can't seem to get around to getting my bloodwork done...

Look, if your temperature dropped right before your period, you’re likely seeing ovulation. Even with a 30-day cycle, temps can spike early and then dip right before they climb again for good. It all happens in a tight window.
It's also a misconception that high temperatures are rare during pregnancy. Usually, they stay elevated throughout the entire term because if conception occurs, those hormones just keep the temperature up.
There's actually an entire thread dedicated to users tracking their basal body temperature on FertilityFriend charts to pinpoint ovulation for better odds. Here's what one of those looks like: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1231ec You take the reading first thing in the morning before even getting out of bed, which keeps the numbers lower, but you can clearly see that jump in the second half of the cycle.

Where are you ladies hiding? How’s everyone holding up with these fevers?
So, I finally went in to get checked out—blood work, urine sample, the whole nine yards. My blood counts were perfect, my urine was fine, and then my doctor basically looked me in the eye and said that in 99% of cases, a fever is just caused by stress. And then she’s like, "Let's not overthink it," and calls it a day. Like, seriously?
Meanwhile, I’m sitting here feeling absolutely trashed, like I got hit by a freight train, still running this low-grade fever, and all she gives me is... nothing! Just a shrug!
Unbelievable.
Maybe I really am just super stressed out, but honestly, I don't even have the bandwidth to sit around and dwell on it....

I'm so glad the results came back positive! 👍
I actually took my temperature yesterday morning, and it was only 36.3... 😲 😲 It felt so strange seeing such a low reading after those spikes we were seeing in the high nineties... 😬
As for the stress factor... that could definitely be it, but ovulation can play tricks too. I've dealt with just about everything myself, and with stress being everywhere these days, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if that was the culprit...
I think I'll give it a rest for a few days, then maybe out of pure curiosity, I'll check again around ovulation just to see where things stand.. 😬
Obsessed with this temperature tracking 🤣

Those lingering low-grade fevers hovering around 99.5 degrees are the absolute worst! A friend of mine was dragging them around for an entire week before she finally bit the bullet and went to the doctor, only to find out she had mono. Now she’s been stuck in bed for three weeks straight, stuck on a super strict diet because her liver is taking a hit.

I don't have her 🙂 but we'll see what happens later...
Glad to hear those results turned out great!

My low-grade fever is back 😢
It’s day 15 for me. I was at 97.9 this morning, but now I'm sitting at 98.6. I honestly can't tell if this is just coinciding with my ovulation window, but it's still weighing on my mind.. 🤔 I was tracking it last week and it stayed around 97.9 in the afternoons, but now I'm second-guessing everything.. 🙄
Plus, I feel absolutely wiped out... especially today.. 😢

For four years straight, right during finals week, I found myself running a persistent low-grade fever of about 99 degrees every single afternoon after 4:00 PM; it was absolutely exhausting, yet curiously enough, the moment I actually stepped away from the books to visit a doctor, the symptoms would vanish entirely. It was quite a strange phenomenon.
So, you can see how it goes.☕ That kind of intense stress, coupled with an overloaded schedule and constant rushing, can really take a toll on your body. I can only imagine how much more taxing it feels when you're managing a newborn alongside all those other responsibilities.

There you have it.☕ That kind of stress, the packed schedule, the constant rush... it can mess with your body in all sorts of ways. I can only imagine how much harder it is when you're juggling a baby on top of everything else.
The same thing happens to me. Just today, my temp spiked to 99 after 4:00 PM... but honestly, I've been under so much pressure lately that I wouldn't be surprised if that's the cause... still, I hate seeing that number climb, plain and simple.😬

Look, you should definitely get checked out by your doctor just to see what's going on.
If they give you a clean bill of health, you might want to consider some serious relaxation techniques—and I mean forcing yourself to unwind😬—because you aren't going to get through this pregnancy without feeling completely exhausted if you stay this wound up!
(Maybe it’s best to stop checking, or perhaps the thermometer itself is just causing you extra anxiety.)😉

Maybe she just needs to move on... honestly, that thermometer might be doing more harm than good, driving you absolutely crazy...😉
I have the right to unwind and toss this thermometer straight into the trash... I’m seriously considering it! 😬 The only thing I’m missing is a baby... 😉

Heh, alright... so I’ve got a little one at home. I was checking her temperature yesterday—and mind you, I was totally stressed out because she's just started daycare/getting settled in—and the thermometer read 98.6! Even though I felt perfectly fine myself...
But honestly, I can't even tell anymore...

Just wanted to log my temperature from Sunday: 36.8... As long as it stays under 36.9, I'm doing fine 😬

Honestly, I’ve been wondering for a month now if there’s something actually wrong with me.
I’m constantly dealing with headaches, total exhaustion, and this nagging feeling that I have a fever. Then, when I finally bother to check my temperature, it’s just 98.4. Yesterday afternoon it hit 99.1. It just keeps fluctuating like that. I feel fine in the morning, even though I spent the entire night shivering, but by the afternoon it spikes, and then it drops again by evening.
And no, it’s definitely not related to my ovulation cycle. 😁
On top of that, I had blood work done and everything looks more or less normal. GRRRR. I seriously hate this kind of temperature. I much prefer hitting a solid 102. You just crash in bed, sleep for three days straight, and wake up totally fine. With this constant 99-degree nonsense, you can't even stay in bed; you're just walking around feeling miserable without any actual rest.
