Probably normal. Mine fluctuates too—some months it's just two days and done.☕🤷

So, what exactly are you so worried about?😁
Look on the bright side—be glad it isn't even heavier than this or that it won't stay this way forever.👍
That’s actually something to celebrate.🙂 🎉
p.s. I still haven't wrapped my head around how being coddled by a boyfriend fits into this whole equation.🤷

Well, look... since I had an abortion five months ago, whenever I even have a little contact with a guy, 😢 it's like my whole body just reacts—all those nerves fly out of me and this sudden fear hits 😢((( 🙂

Hi there😉
I have a question, and I would really appreciate some advice from anyone who might be able to help; even though everyone I’ve talked to so far has already tried to comfort me, I still find myself feeling a bit unsettled... 😢
Here is the situation: my period usually arrives quite regularly every month, sometimes arriving a couple of days early or a couple of days late, but it stays within a predictable window. I have been sexually active for the last seven months with my boyfriend—we haven't switched partners during this time—but we aren't using any form of protection. To be direct, he has never actually finished inside me, and up until now, we haven't had any issues, though I am fully aware that there is always an underlying risk involved.
My period was expected on the 9th of this month. However, the day before that, we had somewhat rougher intercourse, and afterward, I experienced some pain while urinating. Once I finished, I noticed a small spot of bright red blood—it was very light, just a little bit visible after wiping.
Since I assumed my period was finally starting, I just put on a pad and went to sleep.🙂
The thing is, my period hasn't arrived at all. As I mentioned, it sometimes runs a day or two late, which isn't usually a big deal, but I'm starting to panic because of that light spotting I saw; I've never experienced anything like this before.
I have already spoken with my friends and my mom about this, though she is at an age where she deals with things like menopause and has dealt with cysts in the past, so her experience might be different.
My friends told me they have had similar experiences after more intense physical intimacy or when their cycles were slightly disrupted.
Regarding the typical pre-menstrual symptoms and pains—I was experiencing them for the last two or three days, except for today, but the actual bleeding still hasn't started.
Please, if you could offer any insight, I would be so grateful. Do I have reason to worry about pregnancy, or perhaps something like a cyst?

Good grief, honey, I really hope you realize you can't get pregnant just by being around someone socially.
It sounds like you're having a really hard time processing the fact that you lost the pregnancy. You should probably sit down with a therapist and talk through all of this.

Elizabeth Bennett said:Please give me some advice. Is there any reason to suspect I might actually be pregnant?
A little spotting could just be ovulation, or it could be minor irritation from friction during sex.
My advice:
If you really want to avoid pregnancy, start using actual birth control.
The "pull-out method" is a massive gamble. That’s exactly how so many people end up in a bind, honey.

I think you're having a hard time processing the fact that you had a mishap. Maybe talking to a therapist about this would help.
Okay, look, 😢(( but it wasn't exactly "social" contact... 😢((( I'm just scared something isn't right... 😢 I don't have any symptoms... nothing hurts... it's just... I don't even know... I'm just terrified that it happened again... :S I know it's impossible, but man... 😢(( 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

Look, honey, if there was no actual penetration, there is zero chance you're pregnant. Plus, you already had your period.
Your anxiety is completely irrational and honestly looks like it's coming from a massive lack of basic information. You seriously need to educate yourself immediately. You've been through an abortion before, so it’s high time you actually start learning some medical facts and reality.

Your anxiety is totally irrational and honestly just comes from not knowing how things work. You really need to do some reading. Given your history with an abortion, it’s high time you brushed up on the actual facts.
...thanks for the advice and the helpful info 😉

So, here is the situation: I had my period last week, which was right on schedule, and it finished up just fine. However, I woke up this morning to find that I am bleeding again, and quite heavily at that. To give you some context, I ended up taking emergency contraception over the weekend—right after my period ended—because a condom failed during sex. Is it possible that this sudden bleeding today is a direct reaction to taking that pill? I am asking because I actually had to take an emergency contraceptive pill last month as well, following a similar mishap.
I would truly appreciate it if anyone with medical insight could weigh in, as I am feeling rather anxious about this. 😢

Go see your OB-GYN.
It’s possible you're experiencing some spotting during ovulation, though I guess that usually isn't quite this heavy.
But, rather than us just sitting here guessing, my honest advice would be to actually check in with a doctor, because they really are the ones who know best.

It isn’t exactly rare for the morning-after pill to throw your cycle completely out of whack for a while. There is a very good chance that is all that is going on here, but any heavy bleeding really should be cleared by your gynecologist. So, don't panic, but definitely get checked out just to be safe...

Is anyone else dealing with something similar? I’m having a hard time putting this into words, but lately, every time I go to the restroom, I look down and it looks like there’s some kind of red ring on the toilet bowl. It isn't just blood in the water. Has anyone else experienced this, and could it be related to a wound?

The bleeding isn't heavy at all; it actually seems quite typical for a standard period... so, thank you everyone for the input. Since I haven't experienced any other symptoms or discomfort, it looks like this was simply a side effect from taking the morning-after pill.

Honestly, once you finally sit down in that exam room and talk things through with your OB-GYN, all those nagging little doubts and "what-ifs" will probably just sort themselves out...

Does anyone else deal with leg pain during their period? I can barely sit still in a chair because it feels like the skin on the inside of my thighs is about to split open. And once I try to elevate my legs or lie down, my calves just absolutely kill me. 😢

I can't tell if I'm losing my mind or if the thread I started just vanished—maybe it never even posted in the first place.😁
Most people would probably say I’m lucky to deal with painless periods and call it a day, but honestly, I’m worried. It feels like such a classic sign of PCOS.
My cycle is constantly irregular, too. :/
I'm still really young—my period only started about a year and a half ago—and my mom keeps telling me everything just needs time to settle down...
I haven't actually seen a gynecologist yet. I've been waiting until I turn 17 before starting regular checkups.
It’s just awkward to deal with, to be honest. ..
What do you guys think—does an irregular cycle always point toward PCOS?🤷

It’s just... uncomfortable to talk about.
What do you guys think? Does this always point toward polycystic ovaries?
