Nah. I just hopped on the forum and saw my profile says I have fifty-something posts. I thought, "Great, they survived."

Turns out those posts are from the seventies.

Whatever. They weren't even my era anyway—I was born in '86.

Sigh. I get these periodic urges to just wipe all my old posts off the computer, but it hasn't happened in a while. 😢

My private messages aren't showing up. It shows the correct count, and even tells me I have a new one, but there’s nothing actually there.

Can an admin please look into this? If there's any unread message stuck in the system, could you grab it from the database and just shoot it over to my email instead!

It’s some kind of virus hiding in the message code, making them impossible to open. Just stay clear.
Basically, the same thing happened to a few other people looking for what you're after—once an admin opened the message, the entire user database got wiped out.

In any case, don't rely on leaving important messages here if you might need them later.
Just back up anything vital to your hard drive or write it down immediately.
There's no guarantee this won't happen again, though you never really know. 😉
