More competitive compared to what, exactly?

To me, that’s hardly a crowd—hardly even twenty people.🤷

Last time (check out the Machete giveaway thread), Dragonrage’s contest had literally four people participating.

Last time we only had 4 or 5 show up, so this is actually a pretty solid turnout. 😉

I mean, 17—or maybe even just 15—is still more than the Machete situation, where the winners were basically obvious without anyone even having to put in any real effort.

Anyway, big congrats to the winners. 🙂

It’s certainly a step up from Machete, but let’s be realistic—we aren't looking at an actor of Jack Nicholson's caliber or prestige here, just some decent film.

I’ve been trying to wrap my head around why the people posting on this forum won't actually participate in the game... perhaps it's because the difficulty level is just too high? If that's the case, well, who can really blame them? 🙂

Or maybe the prizes just aren't enticing enough. 🤷 I have to admit, none of the rewards really made my heart race, even if the top prize is a solid movie.

It’s probably for the same reason you didn't want to play in the first two rounds, 🤷
maybe they don't know much about movies or actors, or they think it's stupid, or they just don't care. There could be plenty of reasons.

"Impressive turnout," he says. ☕

I recognize that signature from somewhere—funny how that works. Just more typical IM nonsense. 👍

Sure... we can sit here speculating until the sun comes up 🙂

But at the end of the day, we’re still left without a winner 😕

Well...here are the winners. Two are new faces (thank God😁), while one just refuses to step down from the throne LOL...

So anyway...

@Anthony Smith3
It’s hard to overlook the fact that Elsinore and Misery's Crown are sitting at the exact same point total 😕
.
Not that it really matters—I was just curious... why are some users listed in black while others show up in gray on that leaderboard?

edit:
Congrats to the winners 👍

Man, I might as well throw my hat in the ring and try to win something for once! 🙂

By the way, I noticed Elsinore is sitting at the exact same score as me—41 points—yet they aren't showing up on the list of winners for some reason?

And honestly, just one more quick shout-out to the organizers for putting this all together 🙏

Where on earth are you seeing gray?😕

Elsinore actually has more points than Misery's Crown, lol

Big thanks to everyone who jumped in👍 Hope you guys had a blast and actually enjoyed the game. Participation was higher this time around, though honestly... it’s still pretty low considering how many people scroll through this sub-forum every single day.
Who's staying away? Who knows. Are the questions too hard? Is the topics list boring? Or are the prizes just not enough to get them moving???
As for the difficulty... I mean, it shouldn't be an issue for anyone actually serious about winning. If you want it, you'll put in the work to find the answers—it's not like finding info online is rocket science.
The topics have been all over the place... from action stars and the genre in general... to Robert Rodriguez, and then Jack Nicholson... so I don't think variety is the problem here...
And the prizes... I don't know... if people aren't hyped for these premium releases that are hard to track down locally... I wonder how they're going to react when we launch the sponsored sweepstakes later on. In those, we'll probably be giving away domestic Sony releases that blow these imports out of the water, movie tickets for recent hits, or maybe even some merch tied to big Hollywood blockbusters. We won't be handing out Casablanca, classic westerns, or special editions of old favorites...

Anyway, I'm glad people played and had fun while snagging some loot...

Until next time👍👍

(probably around Christmas.... a MASSIVE Christmas Sweepstakes)😁

Auu... damn!! You're actually right!!!

There aren't any gray lists... I just totally missed it... damn!!!

My eyes are starting to sting from staring at this monitor so long...

Gonna go fix that now

Fixed it. My bad, Elsinore and Misery's Crown, I mixed you guys up.😢

Maybe I should set up a little showdown between Luigi Vercotti & Elsinore to see who takes second and who takes third... but honestly, I'm too wiped out right now to deal with that.

If you're down, shall we do it in a few days? I'll need to come up with a fresh question for it anyway...

Well, I have to say, I found the whole experience quite entertaining, genuinely intriguing, and surprisingly educational—certain films actually managed to hold my attention. My congratulations to the winners.

Big congrats to feralorca82 and Elsinore!
Just a quick side note, I honestly couldn't care less which prize I end up with, so let Elsinore decide whether I take second or third place—let's not make Dragonrage go through the hassle of coming up with more questions just for my sake. 🙂
So, ladies, the choice is yours. 😉

Elsinore, Luigi; nice work 🙂 things got pretty intense
Congrats to everyone else involved too, especially those who didn't tap out and fought until the end 🙏
Hopefully, the next round goes even smoother 🙂

Heh. Looks like goldenhound32, punk rock, and I are all stuck in that same 8th or 9th place bracket—whatever you want to call it. The curse of number 23, I suppose? Not exactly a disaster, though. It was a great game. Personally, I felt... well, something else entirely. A shame Nishan doesn't have more time on his hands. When are we seeing the next Dragorage? 😂
And just further proof that Old Man Winter is still out there—hanging around the forum and dropping Blu-ray movies. Heh.
