I totally whiffed on at least four of these—just complete guesswork on my part...

1. The Crossing Guard
2. The Plague — skipped this one
3. Carnal Knowledge
4. Broadcast News
5. Ironweed
6. The Shooting
7. The Postman Always Rings Twice
8. Blood & Wine — skipped this one
9. a Few Good Men
10. The Shining — skipped this one
11. The Departed — I mean, I'm kind of sure about this one...
12. The Terror — also kind of sure...

Honestly, I think most of my picks are solid, though I’m still on the fence about number 12
.
I figure we'll all end up landing somewhere in the middle, except for Basterd—that guy is going to blow past everyone by at least five points 🤣.

If it doesn't hit double digits, then he's definitely lost his edge 😛

From what I can tell, not many people actually jumped on this unexpected extension...

Yeah, I'm feeling the same way

I honestly think every single point or half-point is going to be a dealbreaker for the rankings

Anyway, are the results out today or what?

I’d say they’d be ready—probably by tomorrow. I know for a fact I didn't crack the top three this time around... I didn't exactly go all out or anything, so I'm pretty sure I'll land somewhere around 5th or 6th place 😛

briskhound2 said:Personally, I’m totally lost—whether it’s the first names, the last names, or just trying to keep them all straight together. But man, you gotta admit, it’s a brilliant little puzzle... It’s just those actors that are absolutely killing me. I know for the first one we've got Hooper, Bacon, and John C. Reilly. But who the hell is the fourth one? Same deal with the second part. I managed to catch Brosnan and Keitel, but that's about it.

Why isn't Mickey Rourke the fourth?

I had John C. Reilly, Skeet Ulrich, and Mickey Rourke down, but that number one guy doesn't ring a bell for me at all.

Ended up not even sending my answers (even though I have them). Lost my rhythm when the forum went dark for a day or two...

1 - Dennis Hopper 100%
2 - John C. Reilly 100%
3 - just a void (maybe Ulrich could've pulled it off)
4 - Kevin Bacon 100%

That third guy totally gives off Dorff vibes to me:

And in the first one, his nose is a dead ringer for this guy's:

But I couldn't find a single shot of him actually rocking the beard somewhere.

I’m pretty much on the same page as briskhound2; I honestly haven't a clue who this third guy is either...

And what about the very first task on the list??

Here is what I ended up going with:

1. Brosnan
2. No idea
3. Mickey Rourke
4. Michael Keaton

Movie 12 is definitely The Terror. I just found the exact scene, somewhere around the 10 to 15-minute mark... I think the reason I didn't post it earlier was because I wasn't totally sure myself.

As for number 10, I'm leaning toward Hoffa. It feels way too coincidental if the initials match up perfectly and it's not actually the answer...

Who else jumped on the bandwagon besides Mostow?

What about Zwick, Reitman, and Levinson?

I haven't played it myself, but if I were sitting there, I'd go with:
1. Brosnan
2. No idea
3. Robert De Niro
4. Keanu Reeves

I’ve always had this one recurring issue whenever I watch these movies—on the first one, it was that guy with the glasses, and then on the second, it was that young actor who I can't quite place, though he looks incredibly familiar, almost like one of those guys you see popping up in a typical Sandra Bullock comedy.

Until then—who cares, right? Heh.
I have a feeling I might have messed up those movie guesses—you know, trying to figure out which film was which in that picture where they showed three movies at once? Since I'm a bit colorblind—just certain shades, mind you—it's easy to trip up.🤷

I included them too

The differences I got were 9, 9, 8... honestly, thank god he changed the rules so that you only get points if everything is correct. Otherwise, it would have been a joke where someone who didn't even bother looking for differences or answering was actually in a better position than someone who put in the work to find them but missed one or two out of ten or fifteen.

Hey, hey, hey... what's up everyone!!!🙂

Finally managed to grab a quick connection... I've been scrolling through you guys on my phone all through the long weekend, but damn, I can't actually log in via mobile.
Since those server issues from Thursday night through late Friday kept a lot of you from getting your answers in, I went ahead and tracked down the bastard. He's the only guy from this forum I had a number for since we met face-to-face when he picked up his award. I told him to let you all know the deadline is pushed back to Midnight on Sunday... I also sent an email to the family at la_familia@hushmail.com with the same news about the extension, but who knows if he even saw it! Did you?
Anyway... I’ll be posting all the answers, solutions, and of course... the winners tomorrow morning. 👍

I see some of you are losing sleep over certain questions or answers... so here's a little teaser to save you the headache. 😁

In that first photo with the faces, it was Pierce Brosnan, Harvey Keitel, Matt Damon, and... David Morse (the nose is a giveaway)... then in the second one, it was Dennis Hopper, John Cusack, Kevin Bacon, and... Stephen Dorff...

As for question 10... the answer is Teamsters 😁

Yeah... I took the easy route there. That's why I specified that the answer was hidden in their FIRST names... not last names. I almost just used their initials, but that would have spoiled everything immediately, so I bailed on that idea—even though looking back, there are a few ways to frame that question. Maybe I'll play with that next time.
Basically, the answer looks like this...

Humphrey Bogart
Orson Welles
Frank Sinatra
F ranco Nero
Alain Delon

Regarding Deckard's question—was it an anagram or an association? Maybe I overshot a bit. I originally thought of it more as a "riddle," though you could definitely call it an "association." Hope I didn't trip you guys up too much.

Oh, great. In that case, I’ll be losing a trillion points. 🤦
Honestly, hunting for those differences is just exhausting.
